Dr. Bozic did my left knee(TKR) in 2007 and had a great result. I lived at Lake Tahoe at the time and was an avid hiker and was a blackjack dealer. Both are good tests of a knee replacement, one for endurance walking and the other for endurance standing. My recuperation was a piece of cake. I now live near New Orleans and was very happy to see that Dr. Bozic has accepted a position at Dell Medical School in Austin, Texas. I drove to Austin last week for my appt. with Dr. Bozic, where I scheduled surgery on my right knee in December. His skill and track record are well worth the drive!

A year ago, I had a full knee replacement by Dr. Bozic. As they told me, I have my life back again! Completely pain free and I can even sit Indian Style and can do most of the fun activities I used to enjoy. Dr. Bozic takes great care to do the most excellent job possible and his«pain management» team is amazing. They kept me totally pain free following the surgery and through their physical therapy, got me off all meds super quick. Dr. Bozic is very attentive and his Physician’s Assistant is incredible. They are always on call for you when you need them. Honestly, I have talked to many people who had total knee replacements around the time period I did and came out with very different results. If I had to do it again, I would trust Dr. Bozic for sure!

I recently had my left hip replaced(THR). Dr. Bozic is 2 for 2 as I had my right hip replaced eight years ago. I would not trust anyone else to help ease my pain, but him to be honest. I’m in a lot of pain, yet pain meds and light physical therapy can be of assistance to condition the operated site. Dr. Bozic and his team made sure I was in good hands. Everyone was wonderful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Hopefully in a couple of months I’ll be able to engage in activities that I love.

This man saved my life! He did a bilateral hip replacement on me. That’s right! Both at the same time… I went back to light duty after only 3 weeks and back to full duty as a correctional officer in only six weeks! Awesome hospital, great staff everything was first rate!!!

Several years ago, this man performed a hip replacement on one of the patients for whom I advocate. The results were appalling, and the office completely uninterested in either patient care or surgical results. My patient was left with one leg l-½ inches longer than the other, and significant bone growth in the thigh of the hip which was replaced. The bone growth can easily be prevented by a one-time radiation treatment; there is no excuse for the leg length. On the first post-op visit to Bozic, his PA told both me and the patient that he needed to be walking as much as possible — which is completely contraindicated by current surgical protocol re hip replacements. She also advised that the patient, who was wheelchair-bound, had to walk up the hill to their Medical Supplies Dept. to be fitted for compression stockings, instead of having them available on site. I was not happy, and said so, as is my job. She called me at home that evening, shouting abuse and calling me a liar, saying that I was not a patient advocate but the patient’s girlfriend. I of courhung up. When I returned the patient for his second follow-up appointment, the patient asked Dr. Bozic, who had allowed me into the examining room and then told me he didn’t want one word out of me, about possible post-op bone growth. Dr. Bozic said that rarely occurs, which is a misstatement. I would advise anyone looking for hip replacement surgery to avoid this surgeon like the plague. He has published a number of articles in various journals, and is therefore highly thought of by UCSF, who values such things. I value patient care, and this surgeon provided the worst possible patient care, together with a remarkably arrogant attitude and false information. Don’t go here — please.
