This place can definitely kill hella time if you’re ever bored. This place is right on Clement St. between 6th and 7th avenue. Parking is all on the street and it is metered so just be aware of that. If anything, you can always try to find residential parking. The store itself is huge and full of different types of household supplies as well as plants like orchids. For us Chinese folks, they also sell red envelopes with different prints and the paper money stuff we burn at our relatives’ graves. Prices here are also pretty decent although there are some stuff that you can find cheaper elsewhere. I bought a medium size sifter here for $ 6 only to find out that there’s a cheaper one at Bed Bath & Beyond. Overall, definitely a place you should check out if you ever need something. The only problem is parking. Blah.

Need dishes, bowls, plates, platters, spoons, teapots, chopsticks, etc. for Asian type cooking? This is a great place to stock those type of items. Prices are reasonable. It’s actually two storefronts with two entrances. The main store is dedicated to the kitchen and the smaller storefront is a combo of kitchen, bath, and general household items. I never leave without purchasing something for my kitchen or household.

total crap. Do not buy anything which must be operated, it will break, and they do not take returns. I bought a wringer mop and it busted the first time I used it. Not during the first use, but upon using the squeegee the very first time the entire head just bent toward me and rendered it useless. I took it back and they told me nothing is guaranteed. Even tho they have a sign outlining return procedures they said no guarantee. I will go back and the reviews which say that it is a great store are just fine with me. You just gotta know what to expect, and if you want something which takes a bit of hand action, go elsewhere.

I like this place alot, they have most of the household things you need, but some of the stuff here, maybe you would find it cheaper elsewhere… But we would come here for stuff that we can’t find elsewhere.

An extra large store with an insane amount of household supplies, you can get an assortment of things in a wide range of prices. I came in looking for a mortar and pestle for a Christmas gift and was able to find something in the right size for an awesome price. Many of the dishes are Asian style but there’s a lot of American/Western supplies as well, from storage containers, utensils, dishes, and electronics(food processors, rice cookers, etc). For everyday, simple kitchen supplies for good prices, I’d highly recommend checking this store out over some of the more designer places.

I don’t live in Inner Richmond anymore, but I still find myself longing for this store. Everything I’ve bought there was inexpensive, and durable as all get out! Three years after purchase, most all of my items are no worse for wear. The wire double-decker dish rack is the only thing I’ve gotten rid of, and that’s just because after three dishwasher-less college households, the poor stalwart thing rusted over. Still worked, though! I’ve seen the identical items sold for double or triple the price at specialty stores in San Luis Obispo or Ventura County(Specifically, I’m thinking of some of the dishware, silicone kitchen gadgets, and the gorgeous bamboo cutting boards). Honestly, I put off kitchenware purchases, wait until I make a trip to SF, and get everything I need here. It has everything I need, and at really reasonable prices. Long live Kamei Household Wares!

Kamei: The translation of this Cantonese phrase means beautiful home. This store is composed of two retail spaces combined into one. The aisles are packed full of products. If you are an indecisive person, you will have a tough time here because with each item you will be presented with over a dozen choices. Let’s take trash bins as an example. There are about 20 choices of various size/color/material to choose from. Chopping boards, you have another 20 options. I won’t even go into tableware. This business also sells wholesale to restaurants. You will find many restaurant supplies here such as to-go containers, utensils, and cookware. This place does not sell name brand products such as Calphalon or All-Clad, but the items have good value. In here, you will find all the knick-knacks you need in your kitchen, bathrooms, and living space.

Cook’s heaven! This place is organized and has everything you want. Love their lucky bamboo and orchids. The variety of selection on glassware and Tupperware is amazing. They did check in with me on what I am looking for so I would say their service isn’t too bad. Parking might be hard but it’s worth the visit… This is like Daiso for people who cook.

Came here looking for some supplies, after walking around the store I realized their supplies and my supplies were different. I was looking for dried food. They had utensils, pots and bowls.
