The drinks are ok. I come here often, but too many times they have been closed when they are supposed to be open! This is the closest and most convenient place to get a bagel for me and some coffee. They are often not open on time or even at all on days they are supposed to be! If you are not going to be open for a holiday(such as Labor Day) then at least put up a sign at the window as a convenience to your customers. All of the ladies that work here are also fairly rude. The one that usually works Saturday’s doesn’t even talk or smile at all, she is the worst at customer service. I’ll be having to find another regular spot that I can actually depend on and with nicer staff.

I’ve been going to Kafe 99 for years. I’m saddened to write this review but this place has gone down hill little by little and today was really just not a good experience. I go because it’s two blocks from my office and the coffee is decent. They also have fresh pastries, sandwiches, and salads(delivered daily). So there’s a new guy working the morning shifts. Friendly, but really doesn’t know what he’s doing. I understand that he’s new, but even after 2 – 3 weeks he’s still just as slow as he was on day one. The board outside doesn’t have anything written on it(why put it out?), the napkins, ½ and ½, and cup lids are minimal or you have to ask for them, no music playing(I used to like the shuffle), and it takes forever now to get a drink… it’s a lot of little things that are adding up to me considering just making a pot of Folgers in our break room. So there is a lovely hand-drawn sign right when you walk into the store that asks patrons to keep their dogs outside. Not that that place is big enough for dogs(or many humans) anyway. So this jackass in line in front of me has his dog inside with him. I’m standing in the doorway. The nice, new guy employee doesn’t say a word about the dog being inside. I thought about saying something to the guy with the dog but thought if the employee of the establishment doesn’t care, why get involved and ruin a lovely Friday morning? Because if I get any lip from dog owner I’ll let lose. So I leave it alone. Well, doggy is sitting on the floor, kind of humping the air(?). His owner looks at him and asks him what’s wrong. Then the dog proceeds to vomit on the floor, inside the store, right in front of the garbage/recycle/compost bin. Nice, new guy employee finishes making jackass’s coffee then asks me what I want. I told him,(a vanilla latte), then I say something like«I guess that’s why it’s a good idea to adhere to this sign you have up here(I point at the ‘leave your vomity dog outside’ sign).» Nice, new guy employee gives me a blank look. I then tell him that wiping the vomit up with napkins isn’t disinfecting it and that he should probably wipe it up himself. The fact that dogs can walk around and possibly puke in there, that the nice, new guy doesn’t really get WHY it’s important to keep dogs out or WHY he should clean up the puke properly, that the lines are super long now because nice guy is slow, and that nice guy doesn’t put enough vanilla syrup in my latte means that I’m not gonna go by for a while. I’ll walk up to Atlas instead. Note: Jackass heard what I said about adhering to the no dogs sign and did apologize for his dog puking. And I reminded him that that’s why Fido should be outside.

I got 99 sq feet n not a review done, HITMEH! Ahem. This place has got to be kidding with their coffee. Holy mother of beautiful brew, this place has a solid cup of joe for a reasonable price. Yummy spicy chai with the perfect amount of creamy sweetness. If I had 99 problems, this place wouldn’t surely be one.

I absolutely have to make a weekly if not bi-weekly stop into this café since I work in ActivSpace. They have the best little healthy snacks — and who doesn’t have a hankering for something at about 3pm? I was blown away by their turkey avocado sandwich(from Sunrise Health and Natural Foods). And the rest of their salads and prepared foods aren’t bad either — all from local bakeries and establishments. All super healthy and fresh(since it’s delivered daily).

This is the cutest little(literally little as in 99 sq ft) coffee shop! I have been meaning to try it since I started my new job in the area and luckily it’s on the walk to my office from the bus stop. I always see a line out the door when I walk by every morning and now it makes sense why, you can only fit maybe 3 people in there at a time. I would definitely choose Kafe 99 over the others around the corner like Starbucks and Blue Bottle. The prices are decent and even cheaper than chains. For instance my delicious and not too sweet mocha was $ 3.50(and less if you bring your own mug) versus the ones in the area which go for $ 4 – 5. Also, from what I could tell from my jittery body throughout the morning, the coffee is strong! So thankfully for this affordable coffee shop! Don’t forget to get a punch card! It’s on the back of their business card!

Stumbled in here when I arrived to an appointment early. The lady with the curly hair was a hoot. We had a really fun conversation while I sipped on my espresso, which I might add was also great.

I really like the character at Kafe 99 Sqft, and somehow I find myself very relaxed every time I drop by this tiny little coffee shop. The whole atmosphere is much more chilled compared to many of the other coffee places in the area; it’s got a homey feel. Their coffee is decent and their staff are nice. I come here whenever I drop by the area, and it’s certain on my list of recommended coffee places.

Not big enough. You can say it about the space. You can’t say it about the Americano. Smooth and potent. You can’t say it about the price. Just $ 2. You can’t say it about the service. Warm and friendly. You can’t say enough about 99 Square Feet.

I love this little Café! We go here every day and get our delicious Americanos! The owner & staff are the BEST, the food and drinks are quality and the price is right! For 99 Square Feet, they really pack in a lot of offerings(always something new and tasty to try) and they can pack in a lot of people too! It’s a local community kind of experience and we enjoy meeting our neighbors over a cup of joe!

I don’t drink coffee, so it’s a bit odd that this is my favorite coffee place. Everything they do is good here. The breakfast pastries are excellent, the cookies are ridiculously good, they have my favorite cold drinks(pellegrino, yerba mate, etc), and they offer good sandwiches and salads, made daily by offsite caterers. All the people who work here are friendly and kind. It’s really great place to have nearby.

I judge cafes by their chai. This one was not very sweet, but neither was it spicy. It was kind of… tepid and flat. Their coffee isn’t spectacular either. Unfortunately, that’s all I sampled here. It does look like an adorable place to grab a sandwich from the fridge, and the girl who was working that particular morning was charming and listening to the Beatles on shuffle, so points there. I guess after so many months of walking by this cute little corner place I just wanted it to be outstanding.

A) Holy shit, I haven’t written a review in more than a year! B) So I thought why not write one for Kafe 99. C) They are amazing because: $ 2 delicious Americanos, friendliest baristas(yay Lucy and Thea) and the sandwiches in the fridge are actually quite the tasty on-the-go lunch. This café holds a special place in my heart.

The crew here rocks, I have been going here at least once a day for a year now, and have not been let down once. Its a small snug place, they make a good cup of coffee and the crew is a bunch of nice folks. I appreciate the rotating chilled beverages, the new egg crème thingys they got and the pastries are darn good. There are other coffee shops nearby, but I have been wronged by them. 99sf gets me my coffee a bit of pleasant banter, and I am on my way. I feel like they are almost buds of mine since I see them so much. They are totally getting Christmas presents this year.

I choose this café over any other coffee place near my work, because the lattes are fantastic AND the people who work here are lovely. The coffee is prepared to perfection, and if I did not bring my lunch they usually have at least one delicious option for me in the fridge(I usually spend $ 6 – 7 dollars on food, $ 3 – 3.50 on coffee). Some recent favorites have been the chocolate croissant and, on a recent warm day, the iced coconut latte.(Perhaps Obvious Tip: Make sure you stir that thing well though and keep it stirred because the coconut flavor sinks to the bottom and throws itself into awful contrast with the fabulous bittersweet icy goodness on top)

A lovely corner anchor to an eclectic block of businesses. The well-thought, tiny spot has just enough interior space for a few customers to place and sugar up their orders. We enjoy their teas and sweets/pastries(apple turnover, filled croissants) but regulars swear by their cappuccino and latte assortments. It’s the only place of its kind in the immediate area. They maintain a stock of cold, bottled beverages such as Honest Tea types of drinks as there’s no room for a freezer and making items dependent on ice cubes. Among their neighbors are barber shops and hair stylists, the SF library donation center(check out their $ 1 sidewalk literary selections), a cat adoption group, a design house, bicycle repair shop, tattoo artist, and a cool casting agency. Enjoy the sidewalk«patio» lounge feature. Fantastic for people-watching and even better for reading that $ 1 book you just purchased or further discussing adopting a cat. The friendly customers are always fun to chat with as well!

99 square feet of pure convenience. Great coffee, enticing display of pastries, organic sandwiches and salads, topped off with extra friendly customer service. This cute, ultra tiny corner café has outdoor seating in a chill, relaxed environment. Since it’s located at the Activspace center, there’s also a lot of other cool little businesses to check out nearby as well!

I love this place and the lovely ladies who work here. I’m kinda-sorta regularish here and it’s mainly ’cause the lattes are good and the ladies are awesome because they are super friendly. There are other coffee places closer to my work but I like it here the best. Cootz OUT! ({})

Good wine lives in small barrels. Awesome espresso lives here. Besides, it’s just $ 1.25 if you bring your cup. Fabulous Italian cup, short, creamy, rich, persistent. Buy 10, one is free. Ch-ching!
