Like everyone else says, it’s a solid choice for lunch and it’s a bit hard to find the first time. They do tortilla soup every Thursday and it’s quite good. Keep an eye on their twitter for the daily specials and soup. Watch for the spicy red pepper bisque– its also really good. The sandwiches are pretty basic but the produce on them has always been top notch. Turkey avocado– all day, every day. They have an interesting take on ice coffee but, while I love iced coffee, I’m not a fan of theirs.

I ordered the petit fours for my Paris Café themed bridal shower and they were a hit! Everyone loved them and they looked great on my mini pastry dessert bar! I can’t thank Mary enough for these, they made the shower! Prices were the cheapest I found, perfect bite size, and easy ordering. Pick up was the day before since my shower was on a Sunday and they were still fresh… Not to mention delicious! Will be re-ordering again!

The prices and food and everything was okay. It was difficult to find, though. Definitely not the most accessible place I’ve been to.

Hidden in a warehouse on the first floor, the smell of pastries lures you in. There’s a nice little patio inside the warehouse but with outdoor seating. No pets. The woman at the register was very friendly. Their Chai is vegan here so I gladly ordered one. Unfortunately the flavor was a 3⁄5 stars. I got it with almond milk but honestly there was no spice to this chai, I could have been drinking steamed sweetened almond milk. A plus though is that there was vegan chocolates at the register, and a plethora of delightful aromatic pastries(non-vegan) to choose from.

Since I started working in the Dogpatch, Jolt N Bolt is my #1 go-to. It’s great for lunch because there’s a fresh menu, excellent pastries, and hot sandwiches served every day. What makes them extraordinary are the specials. You never know what you’re going to get. I’ve had rotisserie chicken, fish tacos, curry & rice, goat cheese salads… all from this teeny tiny café. They even have a suggestion box. I requested shrimp & grits one day and it was there by the end of the week. Best part? Everything is under $ 10. It’s a hidden gem here in the Dogpatch but that doesn’t mean it’s not packed. Rush hour is around 11:30−1pm but get your butt here before they sell out. The specials are usually gone by 2pm. Keep it up, J n B!

Best french dip I have ever had. They have a new menu everyday. The bread was DELISH and toasted to perfection. Loved the patio seating and the treats are life changing as well. Wish I could come here everyday. YUM. Don’t leave without dessert. Your co-workers will thank you.

It’s close to work! They do a very good job with seafood dishes. They know how to cook a salmon fillet very well. There is a seared ahi tuna noodle salad that is my favorite dish there. I wished they served it at least once a week rather than one every two months. Last week I had their grilled shrimp pomodoro pasta that was really tasty. Their pastries haven’t helped my waistline. Buttery and flavorful. Their scones are very delicious and not dry and crumbly like I normally associate scones to be. The service is great and the prices are very fair. My only con is that their coffee is lackluster. Drip coffees are weak and not as flavorful as some competitors close by.

I’ve been here twice. First time: Quesadilla with chorizo & Gruyère and broccoli soup Second Time: Quiche & soup(I forget which) The food here is pretty decent. The layout of the place is kind of awful; the line runs through the kitchen, out some side backdoor. It looks like the food is all pre-made and reheated, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The portions are great for a simple lunch. Also, the baked goods looked amazing. I’ve tried small bits but I definitely look forward to getting a giant cookie some time.

My favorite thing about Jolt and Bolt is that the smell of bread emanates from the back of the building and makes the surrounding area smell amazing. Their salad and soup options are very good, and they offer a wide array of delectable baked goods. Check it out :)

Came here for breakfast and lunch every day while in town last week. It’s down the street from my company’s office and I wouldn’t have found it had I not been with my coworkers — it’s sort of hidden in the lower level of an old industrial building. I thought it was just a coffee shop at first until I walked behind the register area into the catering kitchen. The coffee and food were both excellent and I love the daily menu. The only knock I have against this place is how busy and clustered it gets during peak lunch hours. Expect to wait 10 – 15 min for your food to be ready. But, as long as you’re not in a rush, this place is well worth the wait.

This unsuspecting restaurant in the Dog Patch delivered consistent and tasty sandwiches. Jolt n’ Bolt also had daily specials that ranged from curry to gumbo. Although, I’ve never had anything but their sandwiches, coworkers have been very satisfied with their special offerings. I liked to come to JnB when I wanted something different from the food that was being offered at work. The sandwiches are filling and normally come with either a salad or soup. Definitely a great spot to come and get a satisfying above average lunch!

Jolt N Bolt, or as I call it, J&Bs, is a great place! If you are among the select few to find this place, you know that the food is quality and the girls are super nice. I’ve never had an issue with the ladies of J&Bs. Its a fast pace establishment so make sure you know your order and get out of the way. The cookies are and the spicy chicken sandwich is killer. Keep up the great work ladies. Dont let the haters get you down.

Not a fan, wouldn’t take my order in advance over the phone, was rude when I showed up in person with multiple orders. Also she asked me to pay and get out of the way until I figured out my last item(because I was confused that you can’t order a normal sandwich made to order, they’re all pre-made unless you get a grilled sandwich)… Excuse me?! I am a paying customer, I realize you’re busy but I should never have been made to feel, let alone told, I was«in the way!» Just not a good experience. Most condescending order taker I’ve ever met, so incredibly rude. Pink shirt girl I’m looking at you.

This is the best place for good quality affordable lunch food in the dogpatch. Its easy to mix and match soups, sandwiches and salads. The pastry is awesome and affordable. The special is always good when you’re tired of sandwiches, soup and salads. And theres a place to sit and eat your grub outside. Perfect.

Chef’s counter. This is one expensive way to do it: This is another less expensive way to do it: This Dogpatch spot is so popular the line to order wraps goes all the way into the kitchen. No reservation fee. Perhaps it is because everything is already made so it’s a warm it up and serve operation that gets you going quick. Good for timing. Bad for customization. Fortunately the grilled chicken pizza was perfect. Accented with artichokes, tomatoes, leeks and olives it wasn’t too oily or cheese and a generous six slices for $ 8. Even the good but not great(lettuce was only veggie) grilled turkey sandwich($ 6) with a small side salad had all the mayo on one piece of bread. Toss it and save room for pizza. This chef’s counter might be the best deal in town.

The quality and variation of the lunch meals has definitely improved since the passing of the Asian Soup Nazi, Jim. RIP. :( The price has definitely increased but is still one of the more affordable spots in the Dogpatch. This is not a 5 star restaurant so don’t except 5 star service. It is what it is. The best time to get in line for lunch is at 1130 when they start service. Peanut butter cookies and chicken tortilla soup FTW.

Great food and great staffs. My office is located about a block down the street, so they become my cafeteria slowly. If I am not go there everyday, it will be every other day. I am addicted to them now. They rotate their menu regularly, while maintain some grill sandwiches everyday. Always a long line during lunch hour. Grill sandwiches, salads, pastry, everything is delicious and the price is just right. Love them so much.

I can’t help but let my finger click 3 stars. I desperately want to check 2 but no… they are kind and usually offer what you need to get the job done. A cup of coffee in one hand and a mismatched edible food item in the other. I feel as if this place hasn’t gotten it right yet. Maybe it’s the«warm» bagel that’s desperately needing some heat. or the space itself that seems a little empty and I don’t know if it’s the patronage or the furniture. With this area being as spaced out as it is I will probably be back again… and again… and again but I wish we had more options, don’t you?

Amazing amazing… Fridays at 1600 the entire case and what remains of it goes HALFOFF!!! Look for the macro wheatgrass looking landscaping on the east side of street, and enter the American Industrial Center Building. Turn right away from the elevators, pass cutesy courtyard and descend stairs. Welcome to total temptation. Fresh everything. Tried half sandwich and a few sweets. Such skill, refinement, and adroit prowess baking up ridiculous wonders!!! Must come again, and soon.

Sadly the soup nazi has had some medical issues and hasn’t been in the café for over a week or so. He suffered a stroke in Reno and is now still at hospital. The Jolt n Bolt is taking donations for anyone who’d like to help Jim pay for his medical bills. Please stop by and be sure to send your condolences. They have a card that anyone can sign.
