I inherited a significant number of antiques from my parents’ estate. The prize was their dining table and chairs. When moved from Louisiana(as can happen with any moving company), two of the chairs’ top rail were damaged. Jafe took these two chairs and repaired them: YOUCAN’T TELLTHEYWEREEVERDAMAGED ! The price was fantastic ! At some point, some of the other pieces will need refinishing. I will take them to Jafe: confidence is a quality you just can’t buy ! Thanks guys!

Jafe did a fabulous job on my dining room table and chairs. The set I accidentally stumbled upon at a garage sale in college for $ 500, that I practically lived on top of when it took up my entire apartment but I was unwilling to put it in storage — the table I ruined when I made the bad decision to iron on a decal on a t-shirt on top of the finish with just a thin towel to protect the table top — all the living this table has been through and it looked like new when Jafe was finished with it. We’ve had it in our«new» house now for 8 years and it is my most prized furniture possession. I’ve been thinking of Jafe again and just looked them up because we need a china cabinet and I’m thinking of calling them to see if they have anything on hand they might sell us.

I just love working with Bryon & Jeffrey(brothers). They do a fantastic job matching whatever finish samples you give them and can even figure out exactly what you’re talking about and need when you don’t have a sample to give them. Great prices.

These guys did a spectacular job for me. I had a nightmare problem with a table — it was inherited from my grandma(now gone), it was painted pink using a custom glaze in the 1960’s and my idiotic roommate used it to iron on(hello! there’s an ironing board here! that she’s used before! duh!). So she ironed on a damp towel that lifted the glaze completely off the table. You could see the little loops from the towel ironed in there… grrr… Biggest problem? It’s a set of three nesting tables. So I couldn’t just refinish it because it wouldn’t match the others. I took it to at least 5 different refinishing workshops. All the guys gave me different answers as to what they could do, most of them seemed pretty clueless(including the guy who tried to tell me that the solid walnut table was in fact veneered. Nope.). When I took it to Jafe, Brian took the time to try a couple of fixes on the table while I was still there(didn’t work, but I appreciated the effort) and then told me that his brother was the expert in the type of finish that my table had. His was also the second-to-lowest quote for the cost(the lowest being the«veneer» guy). I felt confident in leaving it with them, and I’m so glad I did. You can barely even tell that the table has had anything done to it. It almost perfectly matches to others, and now I don’t have that sick I-ruined-grandma’s-table feeling anymore. Thanks, guys. I trust them to fix any future roommates dumb moves, too.
