I co-own a building. This painter was not my choice. However, I tried to work with him. Initially he was pleasant and we looked at colors for the exterior of the building. Colors were chosen. He talked about being careful that the color did not bleed with the other buildings on the street. So I thought he knew what he was doing. He primed and was ready for the color the next day. I told him I would be out of town. When I came home the next day I was horrified. The house was pink! I called him and he argued that that was the color chosen. He refused to accept that he should have done a test prior to painting to discuss with me. In fact the color did bleed with the other houses. Even though it appears similar to the swatch it comes off as pink. Or as the Über driver who dropped me off said«No its more a blushing rose!» At any rate I was going to sell. Who will buy this ugly house. I wouldn’t. Furthermore I asked him to refrain doing the trim until I spoke with my lawyer. He took out his equipment, ladders everything. I asked him to change the color of the trim to white. He did agree to this. But refused to repaint the house. 4 days later when I came home he must have discussed it with the other owner — he never conferred with me — and painted the trim the original color I chose. Now it is even uglier. Please do not use this man. He may talk a good game but he does not stand by his work, does not review the color with the owner as a spot check prior to purchasing all the paint. He does not know what he is doing. Furthermore, his price is cheap because the house needed 2 coats of prime and 2 coats of color. I know because I have 10 prior estimates. Due to a court order I was forced to go with the co-owners choice of painters to «save money»

David and his painters came in on time and on budget. They were able to start almost right away and they worked on every detail until everything was perfect. David even brought me a cake when he found out that my birthday had just passed :-) How nice is that?
