Jovanka (dj) and Nicole (assistant) were amazing. At our brunch and for weeks after, our guests were still talking about our dj. Everyone (young, old and in between) thought she rocked the house. Our dance floor was so crowded all night, people were dancing outside. Not only were they great for dancing but the whole package was a smashing success.
From the beginning, they were professional and detail oriented. We had a difficult set-​up for the ceremony that required speakers and mikes on the beach. They coordinated everything with our wedding planner, Cristina, and set-​up went smoothly. My parents and uncle who are hard of hearing all could clearly hear the ceremony on the beach as big waves were crashing in the background. We could hear the flute music playing at the start of the processional (50 ft above on a cliff).
Our reception was at the house above the ceremony, so the reception started right away. Jovanka was prepared with the music we requested. We requested island music as our appetizer/​mingling and dinner music. We left that music up to Jovanka and glad we did. She played a mix of awesome island music, calypso, reggae, and soca. The music started mellow and as the dancing approached the beat quickened, a great transition into our dancing
Our dance music was exactly what we wanted. We gave her a list of songs and artists we liked. She interwove our favorites in with crowd pleasing songs. People commented on how much she looked like she was enjoying the music and what a great vibe it sent. She was always in the background and had every song and dance on cue
Not only is Jovanka the best dj hands down, but she also had very reasonable prices. It’s About Time Productions is independent so is priced just below the «wedding factory dj» prices.
If we ever have a reunion party, we are going to first check to make sure that Jovanka is available for the date.
UPDATE: Jovanka sent us a cd mix our wedding music a few weeks ago. It captured our day perfectly from the ceremony through dinner and into dancing.
