I would give 0 stars if I could. My boyfriend and I came in here a few days ago on vacation and us wanting to purchase some neat looking art, we wandered into this store in the morning and decided on the posters we wanted and decided to come back later in the day so we wouldn’t have to carry our purchases around for the rest of the day. Later on when we came back, we decided on one poster and got up to the register to make the purchase. This old looking lady(fat with glasses and bad hair) and this younger girl, around her early to mid 20s were at the register and the old hag asks if we wanted to buy the poster tube for $ 3.99. I politely declined. She then asked if we wanted a bag and us being from SoCal know that SF is charging for bags now cuz back in SoCal, only few places charge for bags, we asked if we would be charged. That is when her true colors showed. She started giving us attitude saying that if she was going to charge us, she would’ve said something but thing is, we asked politely just to be sure cuz other places wanted to bag our items previously bought without asking. She then proceeded her crappy attitude by saying«No, they would have asked.» FIRSTOFALL, how would you know they would have asked if you don’t even know where we’ve been? Stupid. And second of all, we asked nicely just to make sure, there was no need for that rude and UNPROFESSIONAL attitude. I’m surprised you even have a job. Go get laid or something. After, the price of the poster came out to 14.13 an3 my boyfriend hands and a $ 20 and proceeds by saying he has 13 cents. The hag imputs the amount as $ 20 and we hand her the 13 cents and tries giving us $ 5.87 as our change. I had to tell her myself that our change should be $ 6 and she told us how we got her confused by the bag issue. It would NOT have been difficult if that hag just replied nicely. And if you can’t calculate without a register, then maybe you should go back to school because it just shows how old you are. After that, I just grabbed the poster and we left. HORRIBLESERVICE. I hope that lady reads this because she needs to change her attitude or be fired.

I came here looking for a piece of SF art and I wasn’t disappointed — I walked out with a beautiful blueprint of the GG Bridge and a lovely photo of the Powell and Hyde cable car terminus. Prices for my unframed prints were reasonable and I like them enough that I don’t mind spending a small fortune to get them custom framed. However, if you would like to avoid having to pay for custom framing then just be sure to purchase something that is a standard size. Service here was ok as there was only one employee working and she had to balance all of my questions between answering the phone and ringing up other customers.

The variety of posters is really good here. Lots of fun looking around, but many of the workers are unfriendly. One in particular is an older Asian man with a mustache. My friend was looking at a poster and brought it over to another poster to compare the two and this man went up to my friend and said,“People working here have good intuition so if you could put the painting down or I will call security!” He was very judgmental and rude. My friend did buy a poster, but it almost wasn’t worth it to go to buy a poster you really like with an employee like that. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because of the lack of customer service.

Whenever I’m wandering around Fishermans Wharf I will stumble in here. I love looking at the posters new and old. The old being from the city scapes of San Francisco to the poster of John Travolta and Sam L Jackson in Pulp Fiction. Something about this place is nostalgic, possibly because this place has been around since I was in high school. Price wise… well its decent, its not expensive for a poster here. Thing is nowadays you can purchase posters online. The prices here are far off so I would end up getting it here and sometimes its just nice to have the product in your hands.

The poster selection is pretty typical, with a lot of the same ones you would see in any poster store. However, I’m surprised that there isn’t at least a $ 10 premium just because we are in a tourist area, as most of the posters are around $ 9.99. The people who work here are nice. The only thing lacking is variety.
