AWFUL&UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We went next door to this dump because the Hog Island Oyster was packed… As my family and I were taking our seat, we hear someone from behind the counter yell«ah! Ah! Ah!» as if reprimanding a child. The women turns away so I asked, «is this reserved?» And they said it was… I was steaming with the rude manner in which they drew our attention. So I went up to the cashier and asked who the woman that yelled was and she said she was the MANAGER! To make a long story short, when I told her that I didn’t appreciate her rude and unprofessional response, she said well today is our last day so do what you want… Then when my sister comes out of the bathroom and I tell her how rude that bitch was, she yells at me from behind the cashier to fuck off and get the fuck out! NOFUCKINGWONDERITSTHEIRLASTDAY. Hope that bitch gets ran over by a bus!

My friend and I were a little hungover from partying the night before so we were looking for something quick and close to our hotel. We found this little place and it was perfect! Cash only! I ordered the fried egg sandwich which was so good and great for hangover food lol. My friend just ordered a few side dishes(bacon, scramble eggs, and potatoes) which was also good! Nice view of you sit outside too.

Very tiny indoor seating next to restrooms. :( I’d appreciate the food more if I hadn’t been watching people go and come out of the restrooms.

We were at the ferry building looking for a place to have lunch and when we saw the canne rosso with a considerable line it got our attention. When we saw the food we definitly decided to try. Best choice ever! We had salad, soup, sandwich and wine for usd 46 and it was really really good!

TLDR: love the salads here. lots of options, great for lunch salads: the rotating menu of salads paired with the amazing juicy white meat pulled chicken is super tasty. common across all the salads, large portions of protein and the special highlight of the day — avocado, or roasted brussel sprouts. other menu items: soup/salad combos, meat plates, sides, acme garlic bread misc: — price: ~$ 14, standard for the area — seating: they’ve got a few tables, usually available to eat — vegetarian friendly

Came her one evening after walking around SF for most of the day and needed sustenance. The reviews of this place were solid so this looked to be a safe bet. Unfortunately they were out of the pulled pork so I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was just ok. I have had much better. I will likely give this restaurant another try, but would definitely order something different.

Heard good things about this spot and sadly this place didn’t live up to our expectations. We ordered 2 egg sandwiches, one with no cheese to go. Sadly they mixed up our ordered and mislabeled the Sammy with no cheese. The sandwich is described to come with boccalone pancetta, but it was just regular bacon, a very small piece of it. Overall it was a good breakfast Sammy, just not amazing and I’m surprised it was amongst the 10 best breakfast sandwiches in the city.

Sandwiches were good. Got the pork shoulder and beef brisket. The bread was fresh and the meat was tender. I gave this review a bad rating because of the customer service. The lady that took our order was super rude(Hispanic lady with curly hair possibly her name is Alexa). I had pulled up the 10% off Unilocal coupon and she refused to honor it. She asked a manager to fulfill the request. I also asked the manager if it’s ok if my friends could use it too instead of everyone pulling out their phones she nodded yes. I paid and then it was my friend’s turn. She refused to give her the 10%. Didn’t feel like dealing with the headache my friend dropped it and we sat down. When my food came, I started eating. Didn’t realize I got the wrong order. I ordered the pork shoulder and didn’t realize I got the beef brisket. I went up to Alexa saying the order was wrong and thought I was stupid and said a really rude comment. How was I supposed to know it was wrong when I’ve never been there before?

Came by on a recommendation from a friend who used lived in SF. Good, solid sandwich, but not the best I’ve ever had. It’s definitely worth tasting. Come here on a beautiful day and sit outside to watch the view. It is located inside the ferry building right up against the ferry terminal with an AMAZING view of the bay bridge. For about $ 10, you can get the olive oil fried egg sandwich which comes with 2 fried eggs, some provolone, olive butter, and a couple slices of pancetta. The eggs were fried beautifully, and the pancetta was not too salty, which was really pleasantly surprising. The bread itself was really good. It was a simple and delicious sandwich, but a bit steep for what we got.

I was crazy craving eggs while I was walking around the Ferry Building on a Sunday morning, and was so excited when I saw the soft scramble on their menu. The boyfriend ordered the olive oil fried egg sandwich which he really enjoyed. And I completely devoured the soft scramble. It came on some toast and(I think?) a little cheese on top. So tasty!

I ordered the ½ sandwich ½ soup combo for $ 11. I had the pork shoulder sandwich and the butternut squash soup. While service was great and fast, I was disappointed with the flavor of the food. Neither were impressive by any means. The soup was nothing to rave about. The half sandwich was tiny, and slightly soggy by the time it got to me. The pork was good, and the side of the bread that wasn’t soggy was nice, but my experience here was just so-so. It just feels too overpriced for what I had, but I guess it is San Francisco!

I’m a self-proclaimed Caesar salad snob. So I was quite surprised when I grabbed lunch today @ Il Cane Rosso(a place known for its rotisserie chicken and egg salad sandwich) to discover that they were mixing up one of the best Caesars in town! First off, this is not your conventional lunch spot. Il Cane Rosso is more or less a fast-casual spot to order a quick lunch near the Ferry terminal. It’s honestly one of those spots that you could easily walk past without noticing(that’s how tiny it is). But for local foodies in the know, this is where you go for a solid sandwich, salad, or fresh chicken at a reasonable price. The set-up is pretty basic… You order at the counter; they give you a number; and within 5 – 10 minutes you get a delicious meal delivered to your table(either indoors or outdoors). If it’s a sunny day, then I highly recommend enjoying your lunch outside with the breathtaking Bay Bridge view. It’s one of the best seats in town! I wound up ordering the ½ sandwich/½ salad special(for $ 11). This is a cost-effective way of getting the best of both worlds. While I enjoyed the pork shoulder sandwich that I was served, the stand-out dish was their Caesar Salad(made with little gem lettuce, Brussels sprouts, sourdough croutons, and a truly authentic, garlic-y Caesar dressing). The next time I return, I’m going to order the full-size Caesar and add some rotisserie chicken to the mix. With so many restaurants to choose from at the busy Ferry Building, it’s nice to know that Il Cane Rosso remains a reliable, lunch-time option. It ain’t a fancy place, but the food sure tastes good!

Oh my god! That was good! I had the avocado salad with a roasted mushroom sandwich and strawberry lemonade to drink and it was all delicious. Plus it was fast and cheap! About 14 $

To each their own, but I thought the open-faced Petaluma Farm’s Warm Egg Salad sandwich was terrible. In all of my reviews, I’m not sure I’ve written that a food item was terrible, but it didn’t taste good and didn’t sit well in my stomach. Egg salad should be served cold… bad experiment with serving it warm. The only redeeming quality of the restaurant was the beautiful view of the Bay from the tables outside.

I got the pulled pork sandwich and I don’t even like pork but it did not fail to amaze me. The meat was super moist, topped with arugula, a mayonnaise based spread, all on a nicely toasted bread! This place is right next to the bay bridge so you can grab the sandwich to go then outside and enjoy the view. They have other items on the menu but this is the only one I tried and I wanted to make sure yall know that pulled pork is great!

This was our first visit here. We stopped by at this place around 3:45PM on a weekday. LOCATION and SEATING: 8⁄10. They are located right at the end of the Ferry Building facing the bay. We loved the fact that they had reserved seats for their customers(this is important since their storefront is next to the walkway towards the ferry dock. FOOD: 8⁄10. We ordered Half Egg Sandwich and Egg Salad. The food was pretty good. PARKINGVALIDATION: 9⁄10. We were parked at the Ace Parking at Washington St and Embarcadero diagonally opposite to the Ferry Building and even through the staff here weren’t sure if our parking garage would honor the validation(they did), they validated our parking ticket. When we come back to the Ferry Building marketplace, we would sure visit this place again!

We were in the Bay Area to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Of course, we had to ride the cable cars in San Francisco. After a ride to the end nd back of the«Calfornia Line», it was time for a bite to eat. My nephew, who lives in Oakland, recommended IL Cane Rosso at the Ferry Building and his recommendation was perfect and«on the mark». IL Cane Rosso is at end of one of the hallways off the main concourse of the Ferry Building so it’s easy to overlook. We were happy we found it. Everything the restaurant serves is totally«farm to table.» My wife ordered a ½ chicken salad sandwich and I ordered an open face«warm» chicken salad topped with melted artisan provolone cheese. My sandwich was accompanied with a field green salad. Both of our lunches were fantastic and so delicious. It was definitely a memorable lunch in San Francisco. We sat outside and watched all the activities in the bay. One word of caution, don’t leave your food unattended, there are some very aggressive birds who will steal your food. They’re not bashful at all.

Beef Brisket Sandwich $ 11 The portion of meat to bread ratio was good and satisfying. Flavors melded well, was seasoned adequately however the meat was a little dry. Definitely want to make a note that wait time is extreme… from the time I waited to order to the time I got my food it took at least 40mins! I get that around 12ish(peak lunch time) that things will take longer but it seems rather absurd that it would take so long. Overall Thoughts If I didn’t have to wait long I would consider coming back but the wait time simply doesn’t justify what you get

Delicious! Stopped in for a quick lunch before going to the Exploratorium. I ordered a meatball marinara half-sandwich with clam chowder, which came out to be $ 11 or so. Great price for the quality, although it wasn’t exactly the best bang for your buck. Everything was incredibly tasty, and the view overlooking the water was wonderful. On the bright side, we didn’t have to fight anyone for a table in the outside seating, even though it was a pleasant day out. Food is delivered to your table, even if you are sitting outside. You can pick up utensils and napkins from inside, and water is free with your meal. This is a great option for anyone in the area looking for a quick meal with the option of sitting down.

Prix raisonnables.
