Ideal Tile

Kris and his crew did a really great job and I would highly recommend them. They did new tile floor in my split bathrooms and a kitchen backsplash. All the work was done exceptionally well, perfectly spaced grout lines and level floor (which was originally in very bad shape). Kris was very friendly to work with, had good communication and a good design sense. I spent a lot of time researching tile contractors and getting bids, so now you don’t have to, use Ideal Tile!

Kris just tiled our kitchen (back splash) and I could not be happier. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and he very patiently explained all the different options, and told me what he would thought would be best (I love it when people say what they really think). I took his advice and it looks fantastic– clean, modern, and perfect. He did the job on a day when we were out of town and left zero mess, just a perfect tile job. I highly, highly recommend Kris for any tile job you might have.

I have a tile showroom in San Francisco and Kris has done work both in our showroom and with many of our clients. Whether it’s a complex mosaic pattern or a straight forward installation he gets the job time right and in a timely manner.

Kris and Matt are great. they came in and saved us from a previous disaster project. they floated all the walls in the bathroom and tiled it the right way. I highly recommend them

I wanted to hire Kris to tile a backsplash behind my kitchen stove, but it never materialized.
Kris came to my house and quoted me a price for the job. It was an awkward experience because he was very ill at ease and acted like he couldn’t get out of my house fast enough. It put me off and gave me the impression that he didn’t want the job.
I realize this was a small job and he knew it before he came, but if you’re not interested just say so and don’t bother even coming to my house. Maybe my intuition was right.
Because of this odd meeting I had decided to find another contractor. Strangely enough, when I purchased my tiles, the salesman asked me if I had hired a contractor and I said that Kris from Ideal Tile had come to the house, but that I had found him to be off-​putting and I wasn’t going to hire him. The salesman said he knew Kris and that he was VERY good and I should reconsider.
So, I called Kris and briefly spoke to him. He said he was busy on a job and I offered to email him with my details. I sent him an email and didn’t get a response. A week or so later I emailed him again and said to let me know if he was or wasn’t interested in the job. After another week I didn’t get a response again. I took that to mean that we wasn’t interested.
Kris may be a master at his craft, but he acted like a jerk. I hired someone else and the job was done just fine without him.

Kris is not only a tile artist he is a true visionary. He did such an amazing job on our master bathroom, that we used him on our kitchen remodel as well. He was SO professional and clean we felt so comfortable with him, which for me, is sometimes hard with contractors. His partner Matt and he got the job done much quicker than we expected, which was also a pleasant surprise with contractors as well… If ANYONE needs tile his portfolio speaks for itself. Kabuki Spa, numerous city murals, so many cool restaraunts in the City. He also showed me picts. of his personal art that he does and it was so amazing! I highly recommend him and after our experience with him, now consider him and Matt our personal friends. FABULOUS WORK!!!

Face it, when you wake up in the morning and head into the bathroom, you don’t want to feel like you woke up in a cheap mexican hotel. Kris Jensen did a great job on our bathroom tile. He was professional, prompt, clean and relatively cheap. I’ve seen other work he’s done, and he’s quite the tile artist.
