I don’t know the short cute Asian lady’s name but she was very nice and helpful when the young man taking my order didn’t understand what to do. I wanted this Harry Potter drink from the secret menu, so I handed him my phone and asked him if could make this for me. That’s when he called over that lady and she pretty much took my order. I also left a double tip because I felt bad but my drink is made wonderful so yeah :).

As I was walking up to the temporary transbay bus terminal about 10 minutes early for my ride, I thought«man, it would be really cool if there were a coffee shop for me to dip into». And then, as I crossed the street I saw it! The pastry cabinet had plenty of donuts, scones, and a few jars of biscotti. It appeared to be not completely filled. I believe this was because I visited after the holidays when foot traffic is slow. Is like to comeback and check out the breakfast options another time. The staff is friendly and service was quick. If you need a coffee pick-up, look no further than the northeast corner of the temporary transbay bus terminal!

I love this small corner shop in FiDi. They were during breakfast/lunch hours. And the one thing I come in for is their bubble milk tea! It’s super good. Who knew a place that doesn’t specialize in boba to make the perfect tapioca. The milk tea is delicious as well! In addition, I love their panini. It’s a nice quiet place to grab lunch. The people are really friendly there too!

I tried the turkey panini. I only got half, but it was enough. It was good, but needed to be hotter. I wish cheese was more melted. I did walk in 15 mins before closing so maybe it was rushed.

Great local coffee shop, with Starbucks all around them, they hold their own and do it with a smile. Can always count on my morning coffee there. Haven’t tried lunch there, but will now after reading the reviews!

Got a cappuccino here, tasted worse than Starbucks. Don’t know about food or pastries, but coffee was awful.

Consistently good food Tried the hot panini and soup combo. The vegetable soup is actually full of vegetables. I could spot more than 5 different vegetables. The veggie paninis were freshly made loaded with greens. Love this healthy little café near my workplace. Their coffee is also amazing!

Coffee is okay but there are few non dairy options. Also, as a word of warning, there is a $ 7.00 minimum purchase for credit or debit cards.

Good coffee, delicious blackberry scone. I stumbled across this gem while walking around the city. Very friendly staff. Interesting note: Needed to plug my phone to recharge it and there’s very limited receptacles. But they were very accommodating!

I have been looking for other places to eat breakfast besides Starbucks and stumbled upon this place. It’s a no frills you come and go kind of place, and to be honest it is a bit depressing looking. I got an iced mocha with the bagel. When I originally ordered I said café mocha. When the lady was done I mentioned«Can I get this with an iced?» She gave me an attitude grunting«After I just made this?» I understand where she’s coming from in that I should have specified the iced portion, but it doesn’t give you the right to be rude and making loud noises to show that you’re not happy. It’s not only childish and immature, but also unprofessional. As for the iced mocha it was pretty mediocre, and the bagel was standard nothing exciting. I do not think I will be returning here after that encounter. I don’t believe this place deserves a 1 because I don’t think it was the worst place ever, and so far no food poisoning.

The word is out… Howard Street’s apple fritter is legit. I haven’t written a review to tell people about the apple fritter because I wanted it to be my secret and the secret of anyone else who discovered the magical properties of this special breakfast donut treat. Of course, the day that I go in here, at 8am on a Friday, no fritters. Just cinnamon rolls… not the same thing obviously. I hope that I don’t have to now start competing to get that fritter. Their coffee is actually cheap and very good… the line to wait to get coffee or a fritter can be long. There are only two ladies who handle the entire operation so if they have to spend time doing bagels, breakfast sandwiches, or espresso drinks that require steaming milk, it really slows things down to a crawl. The ladies are always cheerful and extremely helpful and they’ve been at this location for as long as I have started working in the area. Off to find myself a fritter…

This place is kind of a hidden gem. Not because it’s hard to find — it’s right on the corner — but because it doesn’t look like some snazzy hip place with organic quinoa whatevers. If you ask, though, they can make you a mean bahn mi, make you a deceptively tasty chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta, a cup of some soup that is occasionally amongst the best IV had in the city, and serve you a spiced chai that’s actually spicy! Also, pretty much everything in the left side deli case is bigger and tastier than it looks. Bonus drink: ask for the green tea latte.

This has become my go-to place in the morning, while working in the area. Pros: — Price(cheaper than places close by) — Good selection of breakfast food, fruit and DONUTS — Strong coffee — Very friendly staff — QUICK! — Fresh fruit and even a basket of eggs are available every day Cons: — Bagels are super mediocre(shocking — this is SF and I’m a NY bagel snob: P) I have heard their sandwiches are good, but so far I’ve only had their bagel brrakfast sandwiches, which I enjoyed. The egg wasn’t gross and overwhelming like some places make them!

OK, maybe I was a little too hard last time out due to one pastry that they probably didn’t even make. They have good strong black coffee that’s not burnt, decent bagles and sweets, and the pricing is about as reasonable as it gets for the FiDi. Good place to sit while you wait on the Multiverse of buses across the way at the temporary transit terminal, especially since 90% of the business seems to be to-go, hardly anyone sticks around to sit and eat.

I come here every morning before work! The two ladies who work here are so friendly and had my order memorized within a month. Even if there is a line to the door, they are impressively efficient at taking care of everyone with a smile. The coffee here is great; strong but not too jitter-inducing. They have a wide variety of espresso drinks and also italian sodas(blueberry lemon, yum) and other fine teas. They also have a wide selection of sandwiches and other foods which makes it perfect for a light lunch. Be sure to get a stamp card!

I misunderstood a transit schedule and found myself waiting a half hour at the Transbay Terminal. Too early for lunch, but anytime is coffee time, so I thought I’d give this place a try. I would come here over Starbucks ANYTIME. The ladies are super nice, and the latte was entirely decent — they roast their own coffee here which is pretty cool.

Coffee is not exceptional. It is all right. I got an americano. Could have had more substance. Fairly quiet, seems like a good place to catch a breather. Did not eat food but they seem to have a really big menu. Perhaps a bit much. Would give it 3.5 if I could, only for the ambience. but not 4.

It’s my newest morning pit stop before I get on my way to work! Very nice and very friendly and the fastest service for those rushed mornings — what else could you ask for? The soy decaf mochas are always made hot and sweetened just right and they’ve also got a nice assortment of delicacies — especially the currant scones that goes well with it.

Good paninis, friendly service! This has become one of my weekly lunch spots. They can be a little slow with service when there’s a crowd, but the two ladies are really friendly and try to be as fast as possible. I recommend taking your food down to the water and eating, as the chairs aren’t the most comfortable inside.

Roasted. Not just coffee but also turkey sandwiches on hoagie rolls. Made warm and filled with slices of bird and veggies. Slightly above average sandwich stays at three stars for a slightly above average almost $ 9 price tag(including tax).
