Had a yummy lunch Baked Kale Salad-Soft pretzel with honey and a spicy brown mustard dipping sauce. The pricing is fair and service came with smiles-relaxed sports pub atmosphere!

The staff were amazing!(; The atmosphere of this bar is amazing. The customers are all there to have a good time, and a good time is simply what everyone has! I came here with a few coworkers to catch the bay area teams’ games, and boy, was it packed. The only minor negative is the layout of the bar, but that’s nothing that could possibly take away from the experience of coming here. Would definitely come back here, if I’m ever in the area!

I really liked Hi Tops! I ordered delivery through UberEats and they had my food ready in less than 20 min I think. Usually it takes an hour to get your food when you order delivery but these guys were very quick which was awesome. I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich which was very good. The bun was fluffy, the spicy coleslaw added great flavor and crunch to the sandwich, and the chicken wasn’t too battered which is always a plus. I thought the sandwich was mild, not too spicy, so I added their spicy mustard to the sandwich which gave it an extra kick! Their fries are thin, salty, with a light crunch. I dipped them in the aioli which was delicious! I would absolutely order from Hi Tops again. The food is prepared fast and everything tasted great.

Great neighborhood sports bar in the Castro. If there is a big game playing and you want a decent seat or place to stand, get there as soon as they open or expect to be standing with your food and drink shoulder to shoulder with people. Awesome selection of drinks and wonderful, eclectic menu. Bring a lock if you have stuff you would like to secure in the lockers while you’re there(highly recommended).

Stopped by on a Tuesday night because my friend said we had to try their wings. The bar was PACKED since it was trivia night O= The bar was pretty nice, not divey at all! They have plenty of tables as well was some type of table game thing along the right wall… I forget the name. Also plenty of TVs if you’re trying to catch a game — they had baseball and basketball going. Anyway, we made our way to the back to order — super quick — and then were lucky enough to grab counter space at the front by the windows. I think the food came out in about 15 – 20 minutes, which is pretty good considering how packed it was. We ordered the buffalo wings and a half order of the nachos, and OMG. The wings so spicy, but so good. I love spicy food, so it was perfectttttt. If you can’t handle spicy, aka sriracha or hot cheetoes, these are probably going to burn the heck out of your mouth. The half order of nachos was HUGE. I can’t imagine one person ordering this for themself, let alone a full order! The nachos are topped with cheese, sliced avocados, pickled jalapenos, black beans and shredded pork. Ugh. So good. My friend and I could’ve even finish everything! Everyone there seemed pretty cool and ready for trivia. The announcer(maybe also the bar tender?) was super funny too. I loved the atmosphere(: I’d be down to come by again to drink — and try more of their food!

We ran into this place trying to escape the rain and ended up having the best day ever! The menu is absolutely amazing! The Porkchop on a stick, the homemade Deep fried corndog, the pulled pork and of course the lemon drop martini’s were to die for. This was the best accidental find ever! I will always remember High Tops from my San Francisco trip.

So I Unilocaled this place based on Fried Chicken. Before walking in I was completely uncomfortable as I saw it was a gay bar. But nobody tried to hit on me and I saw a lot of straight people and couples so I tried it. Glad I did and was not pre judgemental. Bartenders are great. Let me rephrase that Mixologist were great. Great menu items

Clean interior, really one of the best nachos ever(you can get it as vegetarian with avacados or with meat) and equally good corn dogs(again, both vegetarian and meat versions available). Really good old fashions, pretty decent martinis and ample selection of beers. Will definitely visit again.

My sister has been trying to hit every place the top SF sandwich list: I think this list: I do LOVE a sandwich but she is often hitting these place when I am at work — or on weekends when I am usually in San Jose. Saturday we had plans to do a little shopping in the mission, and we decided to hit up this spot.(Side note here, I have been to many places on this list already, and many that I have not have been Unilocal bookmarked). This place was a nice walk for us and on the way to the fabric store on Mission(Fabric Outlet, Which is also AWESOME!). I had read somewhere about the fried chicken sandwich, which is why I had it bookmarked, and let’s be honest here, who doesn’t love a fried chicken sandwich, I would say the«gold standard» of Chicken sandwiches for me is Bakesale Betty’s in Oakland. But how often am I in Oakland? The answer:(sadly) not very often. The place was packed on a Saturday about 1pm — not so packed that we could not secure a table, but mostly full. You order in the back and we got a couple of drinks at the bar(I had the pear cider– DELISH!). My sister had the Tuna sandwich which I did not try — we both got fries. The fries were alright– I prefer them a little thicker, and we might have gotten the bottom of the bag since they were mostly small-ish pieces. The sandwich was really good, a nice soft(almost brioche maybe?) bun with a bit of coleslaw. The chicken had a distinctive spicy kick to it that was not cayenne but I could not identify. It was a nice thick breast and cooked not too much as to be dry. We both wolfed our down, no problem at all! Food came out fast too! — nice. I would not mind at all going back for date night!

Good food and good servers. The person working in the kitchen was so nice and respectful and welcome me to The Castro. The bartender looked as if he was not happy to be there. Still going here next time at night specifically since it was somewhat dead when I came during daytime. They have good taste in music too!

In terms of socializing this is a pretty cool place but the drinks are EXTREMELY weak(watered down). On the plus side the food is pretty good.

A couple of co-workers and I went here for drinks and food, and I would say that this is a pretty great bar! The noise level wasn’t too bad, and the bar wasn’t packed. I thought finding a table would’ve been difficult, but luckily we found one just near the corner! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries and let me tell you that this was probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had! It was crispy and full of flavor. I was sad I wasn’t able to finish it because I was super full. I also had one of their beers that my co-worker got me, but I don’t remember what I got. I definitely recommend this place and I’d love to come back here again!

Didn’t take long for me to return to try out the nachos. I recommend only the half tray for two people because it will come loaded with pulled pork(some of the tastiest I’ve had), slices of avocado, beans, salsa. It’s pretty much perfect and I can’t remember the last time I’ve had nachos that good. Lots of toppings but not mushy — they picked some sturdy chips. You can try to eat it as finger food but get some napkins if you do.

Solid, boisterous, much-needed«sports bar» that’s large enough to accommodate huge, mixed crowds. The drinks are solid and the bartenders are generally on top of their game. There’s also a decent menu full of offerings that are a step above typical bar food. Although it can get really loud in here, and despite the fact that they have lots of TVs showing sports(but without the sound on, so you can’t really tell what’s going on, even if you are indeed a sports fan), this is nevertheless one of my favorite places in this neighborhood, regardless of the occasion.

Super fun casual bar in the city! Came here with some guy friends and was pretty surprised at how awesome it was. 1– drinks. Mixologists here are creating some pretty tasty and STRONG drinks. Mojito had tons of fresh mint and i appreciate that! People go crazy for their«haterade» and ill include a pic of the cool bottle it comes in! 2– crowd. Everyone here was REALLY attractive and it was packed with happy people on a Sunday afternoon. 3– theme. The whole athletic theme was super fun, they have lockers on the walls and the bartenders wear cute athletic outfits. The spot where u order food is created like a concession stand at a baseball game! 4– CLEANBATHROOMS! 5– Water and glasses available on the side of the bar — no more waiting around for a bartender to pour you a glass!

It does not please me to write a two-star review for this bar that could have been pretty cool but I was mistreated and made fun of by the person at the door from the moment my friends and I arrived. The Castro is such a fun and cool neighborhood, I don’t think people come all the way here to feel bad — at least I didn’t. Hi Tops has a DJ and a chilled vibe that allow you to talk or dance, whatever you want. However, after my «moment» at the door and a situation I had by the bar it was completely ruined for me. We only spent 10 min there, and left. I don’t think I would come back.

Bingo and Pulled Pork Nachos? Heyl YAASSS! I came here for the first time for Bingo night. You pretty much order a drink(or 6) and the bartender will give you a bingo card to play. They’ve got food you can order from the back bar, so order everything from the back to save some time. The Pulled Pork Nachos here are amazing! They give you enough toppings, and I love the avocado slices on top. The Bingo prizes get better as the night progresses, and we even had some shots for prizes. Who doesn’t like getting drunk for free, right? :P I had some awesome beginners luck and ended up winning a board game(Twister) and a few shots! Definitely a great place to drink with friends if you’re not looking to get too turnt. Oh, and this bar does have several TVs, so this would be a nice spot to watch the game– this place was superduper packed for the Women’s World Cup finals.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a sports bar this place actually is. I mean, I wasn’t really expecting it to be that sporty cause of its location, but I was wrong. Plenty of TVs, solid bar, and a locker room décor that made you totally forget it was Lime not too long ago. First line of business, DRINKS! We started off with Margaritas because it was Cinco de Mayo, and well you got to have tequila! These were some good cadillacs, nice and strong, not too sour, not too sweet, juuuust right! From there, we just kept with them, and after 2 or 3, we were pretty toasty. FOOD: The bar has a food counter in the back. You have to order separately and start a separate tab. Other than that inconvenience, the food was quite delicious for bar food. The corndogs were huge, and the nachoes were served on gigantic serving trays. Also, the fries were well made and delicious. The Sporting Experience: It was a Warriors playoff game, second round, and it didn’t start off too busy. As the game went on, more people came to the point that most stand spots with a bartop were taken. That being said, it was still easy to move around and get drinks. So thumbs up to that. Maybe it was Cinco De Mayo, or the fact that it was a Tuesday, but the crowd was just a little into the game. I hear that it can get crowded and be very lively, but it was not all they UP on this Tuesday.

I still love Hi-Tops, but the new price on the nachos is ridiculous, so I’m subtracting a star. Without meat, they USED to be $ 14, which isn’t that bad being that they come on a giant cookie sheet sized platter. With pulled pork, they were $ 17. I just visited last week and the nachos WITHOUT meat are $ 20!!! So, for $ 20 you get chips, cheese, black beans, salsa, jalapenos, sour cream and sliced avocado. For an insane $ 25 you get all of that plus pulled pork. For $ 25 you can get an entrée at a nice restaurant here in the city. I know that there is overhead, of course, and that renting/leasing in the city is expensive right now, but charging $ 25 for nachos seems a bit overboard. Besides the Killer Priced Nachos, Hi Tops still has a fun atmosphere, nice staff and good drinks.

First time coming here — great environment & awesome food here! There’s a bar on the side when you first walk in, & then there are games and tables in the back where you seat yourself & eat/drink/hang out. Came here w/my bf Sunday afternoon to try out their food, & we ordered the Huge Killer Nachos +pulled pork. Wow, absolutely amazing! I’m not a huge nacho person, but the chips were crunchy, cheese was ooey gooey melty, pork was tender,& flavors were great! For 2 ppl, it is very filling& a meal in itself. My bf& I were able to eat a good amt, but we were too full to order our actual lunch. I suggest ordering the small if you plan to eat more. We were perfectly content though b/c these nachos were delicious! Def recommend ordering Overall, great experience & plan on coming here again to try out their other food
