Britany is THE BEST! I came in for a saturday morning appointment and completely changed what I wanted done (I’m the worst, I know). She came up with a new game plan on the spot to take my dingy, dyed by way too many different stylists blonde hair to a whole new level, and it. is. amazing! She took her time to make sure that every piece of hair was perfect, to a level of patience and perfection that no other stylist I’ve had has done. Thank you Britany!

A’Lizzabeth is magical. I’m in love with my color and cut. I’m one of the fussiest people I know when it comes to my hair, but she seriously knows what’s best for your shape face and skin tones. She was on it every step of the way and not only that but she’s super personable and funny. Best haircut/​color in years. She is new to SF so I really wanted to write this to help this great stylist build up a clientele while showing my appreciation.

I’m very well satisfied how Ms. Heather took good care of me, very detailed, knowledgable about what she do, explained how the process works, and she show’s you and explains the product before she applies the product. She didn’t push me to buy some of the products they have which I like otherwise she gives you lots of suggestions. Thanks for the Mirco turban thingy suggestion, can’t wait for mine to arrive.

This salon is fantastic both for people who want conservative looks and those in the Weird Hair Club. Every stylist here is completely worthy of your trust. Heather (the owner) does my hair. She got my dark hair to go platinum without damage (which I didn’t think was possible) and gave me a fantastic cut.
I also showed my art at this salon, and been a model for one of their hair photo shoots. These are awesome ladies and their salon is fantastic.

These ladies can do it all! They give awesome men’s hair cuts, superb women’s cuts, and are wizards with color! I have been going to Brittany to get my hair dyed pink for about 6 months now and I only found them after going to another salon and being disappointed and paying twice the price that Hairetics charges. When Brittany finished with my hair, it looked feels great and that lasts till I get back in her chair in another 6 – 8 weeks!

Britany Madoski was the one who did my hair. She was very helpful when. I was trying to decide what to do with my hair and was extremely knowledgeable. The whole experience was amazinh, they even gave me a glass of wine! The salon has a great atmosphere and was just downright awesome!

I have been going to Heather before she started Hairetics and every six weeks, she makes me beautiful. Heather’s laser-​attention to every detail — from décor to blow dry and her ability to choose excellent stylists to work with is both art and business savvy. I am somewhat conservative with my hair, and demand a very authentic color and look.
Because of my crazy schedule, Heather handed me over to Brittany, the newest stylist in her entourage. Not one hitch in translation. Brittany got my hair to sparkle and with her gentle touch, attention to my look and personality, I have an amazing new locks! It’s clear that Brittany is passionate about working with people and using her creativity. And no doubt, she has a great mentor!

Just happened to be walking by and needed a haircut so stopped in. They’re busier than I thought so had to make an appointment for the next weekend. Britany was my stylist and she was perfect– worked with me to understand exactly what I wanted. She is a true professional.
I got RAVES from everybody at work– even people who had never said a peep before. I’ve never had such a positive reaction to a haircut before. Bravo Britany!!!

I’m visiting SZ often and like to cut my hair when I’m around. My goto salon nearby has closed so I decided to try this one based on good Unilocal reviews. I have long hair so I’m trying to be careful where to go to… If I only knew!
Britany was saying all the right things as we planned what to do but in the end it turned into disaster. By the time I realized what’s going on — it was too late and the back was totally ruined.
Instead of thinning out the back she made it short and look like total mess. Same with the sides. I asked to make sure to have enough to take my hair in high tail — nop. Doesn’t work anymore.
In other words, had to go to do a rescue operation next week to at least make it look reasonable. The length is gone. It’s gonna be 5 – 6 month to get back where it was. Disappointed is an understatement.

So good it must be witchcraft! Heather makes my curly dull hair amazingly gorgeous in an orchid purple mohawk. I could never look this good on my own at home. NO boring haircuts, styles or colors here. This is a salon for folks with style.

I totally found Lisa on a complete whim over the summer last year. I wanted to go from blonde to bright purple — and her expertise blew my mind. She picked the most perfect color and my hair looked effortlessly awesome.
Then as the purple faded, I wanted to go BACK to blonde — and Lisa didn’t even blink an eye over it. I have a very sensitive scalp and have had multiple stylists in the past even burn my head. But Lisa is so attentive and so professional that I have never even come close to having any pain when she bleaches the heck out of my hair.
She is funny, so great to chat with and extremely creative. Also, I have never had a hair stylist where I describe what I want or show her a picture and she literally does exactly that but actually makes it better!
I’m growing my hair out and my roots are horrifically bad — but when I’m ready to fix this wild mess on my head, Lisa will be there for me and I will be 100% confident that she will make me look fabulous!!!

Lisa’s been doing my hair for… seven years now? Maybe eight or nine. She’s seen me through dreadlocks, extensions, color, cut, more extensions, straight, curls, you name it. And she’s very talented at what she does. She’s been able to turn my baby fine hair into lovely locks, a task that many a stylist has failed at. Lots to love about her and her work.

So I see Lisa every 4 weeks… She’s extremely cool and came to the rescue after a seriously botched color job. (I’m a guy, keep my hair short, and my hair is a challenge to work with since one wrong move on the color and I go all carrot top). I should also add that I moved to SF after 10 years with the same stylist in LA and it took me several failed attempts to find someone who could do an even acceptable job… Lisa does a great job.
Lisa saved me from the hairror of a «stylist» at another salon. She gives a great haircut, does a great job on color, and is great to work with. She’s also fun to talk to and has great taste in music.
Heather, the other stylist, is also very cool (though I’ve never had a cut from her).
I highly recommend Hairetics for those who need a cool place to go.

So, I’ve been going to Heather for dread maintenance and color for several years now.
I have what we affectionately call «Calico Cat» coloring, as they’re varying shades of copper, auburn, black, and strawberry blonde, some with hand painted black dye stripes. It’s ever changing, and always awesome. She’s a whiz.
She’s the absolute best at dread maintenance in my experience, and I’ve been to a few different people over the years of going from shoulder length to butt length dreadlocks. I’ve been totally loyal since I found her. Super stoked on how gentle she is, and how FAST.
She’s sweet and hilarious as well.
Check out the salon. There’s a number of talented stylists there besides Heather, and all are great. They also take walk-​ins.
Easy parking in a non sketchy SF neighborhood, which is double plus good.

Like many others who have reviewed Hairetics, I have also been seeing Heather Jordan for 10+ years now. She does my cut, color (highlights and full color), and any styling that I need. It’s so exciting that she now owns her own salon!
Before I met Heather, I hated my brown curly hair. I had no idea what to do with it, and it was usually just a big frizzy mess. Then, I met Heather and my universe changed for the better. Since Heather has been doing my hair, I’ve been able to rock both short and long haired looks. My color has changed a few times, but never looking unnatural or weird. And with her styling tips and products she recommends, I am able to maintain my beautiful cut and color on a day to day basis. Seriously, I *HATED* my hair before I met Heather. But now I love it, especially the long hair, coppery curls that she gave me, which I am currently rocking. I’ve never received so many compliments on my hair.
Go see Heather. You will not be disappointed. And if you can’t get an appointment with Heather (she can have a long wait list), go see Lisa or Scott at her salon. They followed her to Hairetics, and I’ve never seen anyone leave their chairs unhappy either.
Oh and PS, for those who sometimes need to work from the salon, Hairetics has super fast WiFi too!

Heather has been doing my hair for the last 15 years. I am so happy that she just opened her own salon. I see myself coming here for many years to come. Come on down you will not be disappointed.

I got FIVE compliments on my hair today, so I figured I should write a review!
Since I started getting my hair done by Heather Jordan, I make decisions about my hair style based on the question: «How many times a day can I stand for people to compliment me on my hair?» Seriously. I thought it was thrilling the first few hundred times, but after a while, you kind of just want to buy your groceries without chit-​chatting with the cashier about your hair.
Heather is great at creative and artistic use of vibrant color: pink, green, blue, etc. She is also masterful at turning your vague half-​baked hair style ideas into something that looks good on you. I think the best word for her cuts is «flawless» — I am an obsessive perfectionist and she sees and corrects things I wouldn’t notice in 2 months of staring in the mirror. Her recommendations for hair products are spot on — my platinum blonde stays platinum, my spikey hair stay spiked, and my head always smells vaguely of something delicious.
Other stuff I like about Heather and Hairetics in no particular order:
* The deer head on the wall is named Bubba Ho-​Tep
* If you’re having a particularly introverted day, Heather will be comfortable with not talking at all
* They will microwave your lunch for you so you can eat it while in the hair dryer thing
The major downside of having Heather as a stylist is that she is extremely popular and I need to book quite a lot in advance. However, since she’s just started her own salon, maybe she’ll have a few more openings for a while. When my friends ask me for hair stylist recommendations, I just tell them to call Heather’s salon and book with any of the stylists, since judging by what I see in the chair next to me, she works with a lot of talented people.

I have been going to Heather Jordan for over 5 years now and have been nothing but happy with her service and skills. So when she announced that she was opening her own salon I was thrilled for her. And what an amazing job she has done with it! The location is awesome — Soma is one of the most accessible parts of SF. And the space has been beautifully decorated in her unique, gothic style.
If you have short hair, or curly hair, or any type of hair that you want cut well, Heather is the one to see.
