Guy is the best diagnostician in Chinese medicine I have found in the Bay Area.
Period. He’s the best.
He has a gentle touch and honest demeanor. He cares so much, and will not send you out of his office until he is very sure you have gotten the best possible treatment and treatment plan. I have seen him for the better part of 15 years for everything from asthma to general health, and he had never strayed from this ethic. I have also referred more than 20 friends his way who all will say the same.

I have been treated by Guy for almost a year.
He begins each session with a 20 – 30 min question and answer period and then takes your pulses for at least a couple hours. Right now, you’re thinking «holy crap this must be expensive». No. He has a sliding scale and I have never paid over $ 100 per session (some as low as $ 75 including his prescribed herbs).
He has a knack for finding things that are wrong long before conventional western medicine does. He has helped reduce my back pain, a chronic intestinal problem, blocked gall bladder, and other minor issues.
His procedures can take a long time (sometimes 4 hours a session) but what you come away with is a complete understanding of where your health is at. He makes recommendations of where you may need to add exercise and change your diet. So as the other review said, if you’re looking for a basic 1 hour, stick-​needles-​in-​you-​acupuncturist, Guy is not your man.
He can also perform «energy tests» and diagnostics without needles where you can find out what foods work well with your system by simply placing them on your stomach. He was able to determine that certain foods exasperated an allergic reaction in my stomach, while others were fine.
While some things do need western medicine care, Guy adds balance to chronic ailments and general health if you are adverse to or have been popping medications.
On a personal note, Guy is a great conversationalist and a lot of fun to hang out with during the stay. If you are a football fan, you’re in luck if you start seeing him during football season :^)
