I’ve been a student at Gracie Humaita for three years under Eduardo Rocha. He is a great teacher that creates an atmosphere that is fun but takes jiu-ijitsu seriously. I am not really a competition guy, but he record of his competition students speaks for itself, When I started I checked out almost every school in the bay area, and Gracie Humaita was to me the most appealing. It was clean, and there was a variety of friendly people, Even at 38 years old, starting BJJ under Eduardo was one of the best decisions of my life. I’ve lost 30+ pounds and am in the best shape I’ve been in since college, maybe better. Plus, BJJ is seriously legit as a self-defense /fighting style. I know my classmates could destroy just about anybody who who forced them to defend themselves. If you are interested don’t be intimidated, just do it. You may find out it’s not for you, but most people who stick with, love it, and are changed by it forever.

Big, open space. Great facilities with plenty of equipment. There are locker rooms in the back, boxing rings, kettle bells, etc. It is located inside the K1 Fitness Academy. Eduardo is a great instructor, and knows everything you will need to learn to succeed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I was there for the Grand Opening, and it was a good structure.
