Golden Gate Leather

This place is having a «store closing» sale and I hope they do close. There is no fitting room and the proprietor said I couldn’t try on a garment in the corner either, so I bought it in the hope that it would fit. Of course leather is pretty unforgiving (non-​stretchy) material in that regard. I paid by credit card, which he took and ran through the machine without comment, but as soon as I signed the receipt, he launched into a rant about customers like me who «don’t think» and pay for purchases by credit cards instead of cash without thinking about how much the processing fees cost him. Sheesh — maybe he shouldn’t accept CC’s then, or at least give his rant BEFORE he runs the transaction through.
Of course the garment didn’t fit and there’s no way I’m going to go back and try to get a refund from this jerk. Good riddance to this store!

Every man should have a leather jacket. The problem is where to find one.

If you’ve ever wanted a leather jacket but were too overwhelmed to begin the process, go to Golden Gate Leather. Don’t be fooled by the location (across from Fisherman’s Wharf), or the legions of tourists filing down the street. This place is a real hidden gem.
