Love Gia! Best Esthetician ever!

I started seeing Gia almost two years ago after my sis recommended her to me. Gia specializes in organic, holistic skincare and I was having problems with very dry skin. Contrary to popular advice I’d gotten about slathering my skin with products, Gia told me that I actually had a dead-​skin build-​up problem. She did an organic peel, microdermabrasion, hooked me up with some new nightcream then sent me on my way. The next few days, my face was a disaster zone of peeling skin. Quite disgusting, even though others didn’t seem to notice as much.
After a fairly quick healing phase (2 – 3 days), my face was renewed and wasn’t unbearably dry anymore. I’ve been with Gia ever since and see her regularly every 5 – 8 weeks. Not only is she an amazing esthetician, she’s also a healer and performs energy work on me once in awhile. She is also a great listener and I often times feel like I’m getting a mini-​therapy session to boot.
I live in Boston now and still consult with Gia on all aspects of my skin via phone. Gia is the best and I would not trust anyone else with my skin, period.

I walk into Gia Spa about every six weeks carrying a few new wrinkles and zits and blackheads, and walk out with a clean, glowing face that makes me want to kiss the mirror. Gia loves what she does, knows her stuff, and carries some great skin care products that you can’t get anywhere else. Her prices are reasonable, and she is just a charming, passionate person who is committed to helping me feel and look my best.

You name i’ve tried it. All my life as long as I can remember i’ve had eczema from head to toe. My face always felt dry and the eczema left my face with uneven skin tone. I’ve tried many department store brands from clinque to origins. In the beginning I believed the product was working then when I noticed that there wasn’t much change I thought this was the best it could be. Before my wedding I began my search again getting weekly facials and microdermabrasions at kaiser and then trying obagi. I remember the painful procedures that went with obagi and thought it was the price I had to pay for good looking skin. I have to say that I felt great on my wedding day but now I wanted something long term and possibly less painful. That’s when Gia introduced me to more organic facials and educated me on the use of a diamond tip microdermabrasion instead of the crystals that I often heard can be harmful when you breath it in. I’ve now been with Gia for over 6 years and have followed her through 4 moves and will continue to go where she goes. I not only feel great on the outside but I feel great inside. Less toxins I put on my skin the less toxins my body will have to get rid of. She not only cares for your skin but also for your well being. I always walk out feeling rejuvinated, peaceful, and calm. She brings a positive energy to every session and provides a holistic approach to how one can care for themselves. She looks at your diet and stresses in your life and helps you understand how everything is interwined.
Her location is perfect and accessable by bart and pleanty of parking lots near by. Her space is beautiful and reflects a peaceful and calm environment among the busy streets of San Francisco. With so many spa places to choose from none of them compares to how you will feel inside and out after a visit with Gia. So make a day of it and enjoy shopping at union square and then have a spa treatment or visit her after a long day at work for some «me» time.

My best friend found Gia, and after seeing the amazing progress with her skin I decided to try her out myself. Gia looks at everything — your diet, your current skin care routine, your make up products — and her holistic approach totally works! After a few months of regular appointments, the acne I’d been struggling with for a decade finally went away. Over a year later it is still gone. She uses organic products instead of harsh chemicals, and my skin (not to mention the environment) is much better for it. Also, this is probably a minor point when compared with the fact that her treatments work, but it is all-​around a pleasant experience: a lovely spa, calming music, and Gia’s fun personality made this a monthly treat for me.

Gia goes beyond what other estheticians have to offer. Gia has a genuinely warm and caring spirit, and she is willing and eager to share her passion for human health and spirituality. Gia prescribes a skin care regimen customized to my particular needs, and her personalized approach to effectively treat my skin considers all factors of my life, stress level, diet and toxins in products. Her wonderful products and treatments are organic and transform my skin to a healthy glow. I look forward to every appointment I have with her!

I’m pretty clueless about skin care, so was advised to try a skin care session with Gia.
The first thing that made an impression is that she uses organic/​natural materials and is strongly opposed to using harmful chemicals. And appreciated her the fact that the treatment was tailored to my skin type.
I also enjoyed the vibe of Gia’s treatment room, very relaxing and homey. And Gia has a great vibe, a combination of friendly and warm with in-​depth knowledge and patience to all of my questions about skin.
The treatment itself included a facial and removing accumulated dead skin, which allows for healthy skin to surface.
I was a little skeptical as to whether any of this would be noticeable — but have to admit that after a couple of days, my face really did have a healthier look to it. A couple of friends commented on that as well. Made me wonder why I’ve never tried this sooner…

Once my skin treatments were completed, her product s really made a major difference in the maintenance. I’ve never had such results. I highly recommend her judgment on what works and why. Gia Spa now sends me my products on a regular basis even though I moved out of the city. Worth every penny.

I decided to try Gia spa because I was interested in getting professional help for my skin but with natural ingredients. This is surprisingly hard to find! I mean, if you care enough to eat healthy and organically, why would you want to slather unsafe and unregulated chemicals on your face?
Gia is very knowledgeable and insightful. She works with innovative product lines and techniques to develop a unique treatment plan based on your skin, rather than offering generic facial packages off a menu. But the proof is in the pores, and she has helped my skin clear up from annoying hormonal breakouts. I am thrilled to not need to wear cover-​up daily! I love that she doesn’t force products on you, yet I am so pleased with the ones I have chosen to use at home.
All this in a very relaxing and personal space. I look forward to my visits to Gia Spa!

I was kind of afraid to go because all of my past experiences with skin care professionals were rather horrible.
But i knew i needed a facial and Gia Spa was referred to me by people i really trust. And so i went…
To make a long story short, i had a great time! :) For the first time in my life a visit to a skin care spa wasn’t a torture. Gia got very light hands and the stuff that would normally be painful didn’t hurt at all.
She told me a bunch of useful information about my skin type and how i should take care of it. I really liked that she didn’t overload me with things i would never do on my own, but actually found a solution that works for ME.
I’ve been using Gia’s products for just a few days, but i already see that my skin became cleaner, healthier and almost glowing after the first treatment. I even got a compliment today about it :)
Gia recommended me some treatments i need to do, and i’m totally going to return!

After an initial consultation with Gia I decided to go with her recommendation for a mircoderm abrasion treatment. In the past I had stayed away from microderm because of sensitive skin. Gia’s gentle touch and skin care expertise yielded amazing results. Within days my skin was radiant, smooth and soft to the touch.
