Unfortunately UPS decided to deliver my package to this liquor store rather than my house. After patiently waiting in line, and informing the clerk that I needed to pick up a package I rudely told to stand aside. He then kept helping other people while giving me dirty looks. The packages are all stacked up right next to the front door so I guess I should have just helped myself? After complaining and even calling UPS customer service he finally asks for ID, then hands it off to another worker who was doing nothing to begin with. I’m assuming they get paid by UPS to hold packages for pick up, I called UPS to complain about the total lack of customer service, and that I NEVER want any packages left there due to the rude store clerk/owner, and because clearly my package was not really safe just sitting next to the front door. ZERO Stars, I hopefully will never return to this store.

Fred’s Liquors has all kinds of microbrews in 6 pks and big bottles, all with a sticker price on it. slightly pricey. standard gourmet items available too. clean store. drink: tast’tea(1.99) no crv, tax charged. –unsweetened.0 calories –slightly bitter, drips: –clean store, wide aisles –seems everything is priced. 4 stars for transparent pricing. 3 stars for value.

I won’t be shopping here. I was excited to see what all the construction was about. I was let down. Yet another crappily merchandised corner store. Still an option. Then I heard a customer point out that their sign said $ 5 out the door for a specific item. But the cashier said ‘that’s from the fridge door to the cash register’. So instead of following decency and bylaws, they decided to be assholes. That was enough for me to not want to shop there ever. If they will do something like that, I can’t trust if they treat their merchandise with respect. They surely don’t respect customers or bylaws.

On May 6th, the building housing Fred’s caught on fire. The apartments above it are completely destroyed, and it looks like Fred’s is probably toast, too. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and have come to appreciate all that Fred’s offers — from typical convenience-store items like booze, toothpaste, and chips, to their wide selection of ice cream, to the coconut water and fair-trade Palestinian olive oil. The family who runs this place is always friendly, and they’re open late, too. Fred’s, I hope you can come back soon — and in the meantime, my condolences to the family for your loss.

Very friendly and convenient. Good place to stop at the ATM before heading to the bar across the street.

It’s a liquor store. And it has everything that you would need from a liquor store. Bottles of liquor all against the wall. Why is this place good? 5 Hour Energy. They have tons of it. That’s a huge plus in my book. Keeps the party going all night long. Next to the 5 Hour Energy, they had little liquid bottles of Extenze. Now, that’s a completely different party entirely.

I love my dudes here and I think they look out for me. This is my corner store. Anyway, always quick easy access to booze, groceries, overpriced waters/coffee drinks when I’m hungover on my way to work, change for the bus with a smile and usually a compliment.
