Fone Art Communications

Came here a few years ago looking for a new phone since my contract just ended, before everyone was using smartphones and At&t was still Cingular. This was the most outrageous store ever. Their prices were like that of the T-​Mobile, Cingular and Sprint stores, just without the amount of customer service.
Passing by I see that they are now many just doing Sprint. So they realized that all the other Asian stores can sell GSM phones at a better price compared to them. They even wanted $ 35 just to unlock a Sony Ericsson.

Yikes, well I had a totally different experience. I have been with Sprint forever. I go to the store on Geary and I just always wait. This place was two blocks from home. So I checked out the new Touch phone at the Geary store, decided I liked it and went to this place. No one in front of me, both people were very pleasant and helpful. Filled out my rebate information for me so it was ready to go, activated the phone and sent me on my way with also free albeit cheap car charger. In and out in 20 minutes with a pleasant convo to boot. No fuss and no muss!!!

Bad bad bad
1.they gave me a used SIM card-​means that the number is recycled.
First month I am using this sim card, I got 10 calls looking for the previous «number» owner.
2.They are not allowed me to keep the same phone number, if i do
i have to sign 2 years aggrement.
I called T-​Mobile customer service myself and asked them to disconnected my old phone number.
The customer service lady asked me «WHY dO yOU wANT tO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER?»
I said, Fone Art store not allowed me too unless I am agree to sign 2 years contract.
She replied, that’s not true. Would you still want to keep your old phone number?
I said yes
3.A month after Fone Art charged my credit card for 300 dollars
The reason was because I kept the old phone number and they don’t get commission.
