It was either a piercing or another tattoo. Although her friends were pushing for a small tat near her bikini line, she mentally fast-​forwarded 40 years. Imagining her smooth, supple, elastic skin changing into a deflated balloon was enough of a «come to Jesus» talk for Janney B.
BUT, still wanting to torture my body, I wandered into this piercing shop.
Side note: I had removed my belly-​button ring last May, after seeing it poking out of my tight evening dress in a photograph with the President/​CEO of our huge company.
Since May, I have missed my dangly, sparkly midsection accessory.
I asked my new friend, Kevin (I’ve never met a stranger), how easy it was to re-​pierce my navel. «Re-​pierce?» he said. «You don’t need that, we can just stretch out the hole you still have.»
Did you know that belly-​button holes remain after the ring has been removed for a long time? Neither did I!
$ 20 for a dangly, sparkly blue belly-​button ring to poke through my tight evening gowns.
This is a great place to come… It looks like they will pierce anything for $ 35, and they have the photos on the wall to prove it. In fact, why go to peep shows in North Beach? Just walk around this piercing shop for free: o)
