I had been searching for years, many years, for a psychiatrist who could help me make sense of an abusive childhood and of my present life. I had so many mental health issues, and I searched long and hardtto discover how to turn my life around. He has indeed changed my life for the better. I could never pay him enough money nor thank him enough for all that he has done for me. And we’re not done yet! He is calm, concerned, professional. A great listener. His advice is spot-on.His guidance has been life-changing for me.

It’s a shame that the only review for Dr. Becker stemmed from an unfortunate experience. Dr. Becker kindly and very generously accommodated my financial circumstances, despite my dreadful insurance having erroneously listing him as a provider, went«oops», and then left me in the lurch. Going by this experience alone… I think it’s safe to say he’s probably not trying to con anybody out of $ 183. As for bedside manner, he is calming and sweet, yet logical. By the end of my first appointment, I was thoroughly comfortable as his patient. I’m usually more private about my health, but SF is a tried-and-true Unilocal city and Dr. Becker has helped me a lot. I couldn’t help but say my piece.

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Becker was completely unhelpful. But beyond that, he scammed me in to paying him $ 200 for his service in full by check and refusing to process the insurance clam. Then, once I had payed him in full, he processed the claim and was payed an additional $ 183 by my insurance company. He owes me that $ 183; blue shield says it’s his responsibility to pay me, and yet he has ignored my emails. This behavior is either irresponsible or criminal.
