I had my hair balayaged and toned by Tess.
First, the salon is adorable, clean, and absolutely cozy. I could sit in there all day.
Second, the service is just THE best. Tess was very accommodating, started me off with some yummy tea, and made me feel right at home.
Lastly, the quality of Tess’s work is incredible. She’s very attentive in listening to and understanding what you want, knows how it will work with your hair type, and delivers results beyond expectations. I came in with a grown out, botched blonde balayage from before seeing her (see pic). I wanted to go back to brunette but with a warm chocolate blended into a honey hazelnut. Tess is literally a hair magician alchemist voodoo master. She blended my balayage to get rid of a harsh line that I came in with (see pic for final results). She truly understands color and works magic on making it work for your hair type. From bold fun colors to a natural look, she can do it all. I absolutely LOVE my hair!
Also, she helped me out with using Lyft for the first time and it was amazing! Thank you Tess!

I’ve gone from caramel highlights, to blonde, and now I’m at a pink and purple Galaxy hair. She’s just amazing at what she does. Tess takes her time and let’s you know exactly what’s she’s doing at each step to make you feel calm and relaxed. I’ve refereed a few of my friends (guys and girls) and they all love her work. I’ve definitely found my salon and hairstylist, No more salon jumping :)

Angelina is amazing! So sweet, fun to chat with, and I always leave with a great color and cut. She also cuts my husbands hair and he will not go to any other salon now! The salon is clean and so cute! Professional establishment that I always recommend.

This review is long overdue! I started coming to this salon in January, when I first moved here. I was in the early stages of growing out a pixi cut and NOT happy with it, and Fionnula did a great job of making me look like I had an actual hairstyle, and not some awkward in-​between look. I’ve been a fan since! By now, my hair has grown into a nice, short bob and I could not be happier. Both Fionnula and Angelina are awesome at listening as well as giving advice and they’re both super talented. After years of salon-​hopping, I am definitely committed now!

First and Foremost the salon in itself is so cute and the name is brilliant. Very welcoming for both ladies and gents!
I’ll start by saying my hair is a nightmare. It is curly, thick, frizzy and completely unmanageable. I knew I needed to do something because having an infant no longer allows for an hour of hair prep only to have mediocre results. Enter the awesome Angelina (Ang)!! I was really apprehensive about getting a Brazilian blowout because I didn’t want flat, straight hair. Ang reassured me that I was the perfect candidate and answered all of my questions all the while completely easing my mind. It’s worth noting that Ang is also beyond gorgeous and I trust style/​beauty advice coming from good looking people. Just saying. ;) Once we were done with the process I was floored. I had what appeared to be naturally wavy hair that was soft, shiny and easily straightened. (a bold face lie!) My only regret was not doing this sooner. I definitely left the salon feeling like a doll and you Ang have a customer for life!

Fionnuala is so wonderful!
I come here for hair cuts & a blonde balayage. I always feel so comfortable with her and my hair looks amazing afterwards. She paints the highlights on the top of my head and also adds some brightness to the lower part of my hair, which I love love love.
They always offer water and tea.
Usually there is only one other customer and Angie or sometimes just Fionnuala and me.
Fionnuala washes, cuts, colors and blow dries. She does it all!
The salon is cute and clean, with lots of silhouette décor. I love the pink and black. The bathroom is always tidy. I believe Angie designed their logo.
I love Dolled and Dapper! I highly recommend coming here.

If I could give more stars, I would. I never was a salon type of girl until I started going to Angie. My appointments with Angie are a treat and I look forward to them. She is meticulous and always has good ideas when I want to switch it up. Amazing work. The salon itself is super cute and welcoming. Yaasss. Just yaasss.

I’ve been growing my hair out for 3 years, and it was getting way too unruly and hard to manage when I decided I needed a haircut. I was super nervous about it, but I set up an appointment here given its good Unilocal reviews. And I’m happy to say that I’m glad I chose dolled and dapper. Angelina was extremely friendly right off the bat and had a lot of good advice about my hair. I love how it turned out. I love this salon! Fionnuala is amazing! I have been going to her for all of my hair needs– cut, color, style, etc. I ALWAYS leave their salon soooo happy and confident! Seriously, hands down one of the best salons in the lower haight. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my hair needs. I visited Dolled and Dapper 3 – 4 months ago, but have just now created a Unilocal account and can write them a review… Angelina was AMAZING!!! I was referred by a friend and couldn’t be more appreciative/​happy with the results. I did a layered haircut (I have realllllllly long hair) and all for a great price. If I weren’t a college student on a budget, I would go there every 2 months for a trim!

I visited dolled an dapper salon on 10÷12÷13 and saw stylist Lola. She was very accommodating and knew exactly what I wanted. The color she did was excellent and the cut was great for my round face. I will be visiting this salon again.
The salon itself was cute, quaint and clean. You would have never known it was brand new because the character had a very homely feeling. The products used for my hair were great and smelled so good. It did not leave the chemical smell from the dye.
Overall I will be visiting this salon for years to come. Thank you Lola.

After 29 years of casual stylist dating, I’m ready to be locked down. Dolled and Dapper is not only a beautiful spot but Angelina is awesome! She listens to your needs and can read between the lines («yes, that’s right… I’m incredibly incredibly lazy about my hair. and face. and sometimes clothes). But she don’t judge! She’s just looking to give you a style that you’ll love even after the professional blow out.
Bonus points — I got a compliment from a stranger within 5 minutes of walking out of D&D! Also, my coworkers kept petting me (both weird and flattering).

My hair is never the same for more than 4 or 6 months so you can imagine how many times I visit the salon and how many stylists I have gone through… but Lola aka Angelina is my absolute favorite by far. She is too talented and amazing for her own good. I have found my stylist. She gave me my first major dramatic transformation from long locks to short pixie bob in one sitting! And just recently she turned me from a natural brunette to a beautiful edgy platinum blonde! I’m sooo happy with my new hair!
These two ladies, Angelina and Fionnuala, are both the best. Super nice and friendly yet so talented and amazing ! They really care about your hair and are willing to do whatever to help you achieve what you envision for your look. They give great suggestions if you’re indecisive and will not push you to do anything you’re not comfy with. They seriously know what they’re doing. I love it here.

Dolled and Dapper is a cute boutique salon with friendly stylists that know what they are doing. Angelina was on point the moment I sat down in her chair. For some stylists it can be difficult to cut short, curly hair and also make it lay right and look good when it’s straight. I let Angelina do her magic with scissors and put my hair in her hands. She did an amazing job and I couldn’t be any happier. Dolled and Dapper has another loyal client. Looking forward to be back in the seat for some color.
Oh…one other plus is their online appointment calendar. No need to go back and forth to set a date and time that works for the both of you.

Those who know me, know I’m serious about where I get my haircut. I’ve been back in town for a year and have done a ton of places. From FSC, to the ADollop and everything in-​between.
THIS is place I’m gonna start using from here out. I’ve been getting compliments on the cut all week.
