This place is no longer Crepes A Go Go. it’s called something else now. It’s still a crêpe place. I have been here twice… both times I was underwhelmed. The ambiance sucks. there is no «wow» factor that makes you want to stay there to eat so the place is usually empty. It’s a catch-22 since people tend to go to busy food establishments to eat, but I’m sure the owner is not interested in creating a «wow» factor that no one will be there to enjoy. The food is great, but the coffee is TERRIBLE. So bad, that I threw mine away… and I never do that — I usually drink coffee even when it is sub-par. It was really that bad. I love crepes, would love if this place stayed around, but if you want people in the hood to frequent your spot most mornings — you have to get your coffee right.

Don’t go here for the ambiance if you’re finicky about that; you go there for their crepes — duh. I favor their business truck on 11th street because they’re way more consistent with giving you what’s actually on the menu. I’ve been to this crêpe place on Union when I’m on my lunch break but twice they have failed to complete our orders. We ordered the sauteed chicken crêpe — which on the menu includes sauteed chicken, bell peppers tomatoes and I think onions. They ask if you want cheese on it and I asked for Monterey Jack. What do we get — chicken and cheese for a measly $ 7.50. The hell I look like coming all the way to Union Street for a chicken and cheese crêpe? That just defeats the whole purpose because the fixins are what make the crêpe worth the wait. Hellllllo. Disappointed. Was the cook having a shitty day or were they in a recession? It’d be okay if you just said you didn’t have the veggies so I could have maybe chosen another crêpe worth the 8 bucks and not feel cheated. i r r i t a t i n g. Also, I wanted to try their special for the day which had sun dried tomatoes in the crêpe. When I asked for it the chick was like we could make it but you’ll have to choose something besides sun dried to substitute, because we’re out of it. So how’s it your Special of the Day when it’s only 1130 am? I guess…

Not a return trip kind of place for me. My boyfriend ordered a strawberry Nutella crêpe with whipped cream and like Marina N., it came without the whipped cream. We had to point it out and have it added since he was charged extra for the add. Not a huge deal although we were the only two customers in the shop and therefore the only two orders to keep track of. He was disappointed. We both paid over $ 6 and for the price, he expected more than super syrupy canned strawberries. Also, our crepes were already made and reheated right in front of us. So much for freshly made! We didn’t even get the fun of seeing the man in the window make our crepes. He just assembled it from cold parts on the heated crêpe plate. I ordered a ricotta cheese and turkey crêpe. Again, for the price, I had higher expectations beyond a thinly smeared layer of ricotta cheese and two thin slices of turkey sandwich meat. Yes, it looked like something the bf would concoct for himself in his college days when he was down to his last slice of bread, last slice of cheese and last two slices of cheap luncheon meat. We would have felt nostalgic about it all except this is crepes we are talking about! Totally should not be connected.

Pros: Nutella crepes, add strawberry. Cons: Why can’t quick food on Union St also be healthy? Fun: Remove an «s» and add a «y» and you get«Creepy A Go Go.» Creepy.

The chocolate coconut strawberry crepes were TODIEFOR!!! I’m not a fan of crepes that taste eggy. The crêpe chef here made perfect crepes. A touch of crisp with the perfect amount of filling. It was a piece of heaven! I cannot wait to go back!

Ordered a basic apple crêpe with brown sugar and cinnamon. I said YES for the whipped cream. It came without whipped cream but more importantly, the crêpe itself was so awful that after a few testing bites, I threw it away. I hate crispy crêpe edges so I trimmed those off immediately. But the rest of the crêpe was tough and tasted savory, maybe a bit too salty. Perhaps the problem was that the cook didn’t fully clean off the crêpe pan after making a savory one before me? Doesn’t matter, I’m not going to try again because it was so totally wrong.

I used to LOVE Crepes A Go Go when I was going to school in Berkeley! I’ve lived in the city for a couple years now, and about a year ago I discovered this location. I come here every couple months on a Sunday when I leave the gym. I don’t know what it is about crepes, but it seems like people have all sorts of opinions about how they are SUPPOSED to be(thicker, thinner, crispier, doughier, etc…). IDK, I’m not all that discriminatory. I think they’re pretty simple and delicious no matter how they’re done and I think this particular Crepes A Go Go is pretty delicious. I’m pretty much a sweet crepes kind of guy(mostly nutella & banana, but any sort of nutella/fruit/honey/sugar combination will suffice), but the last time I was hear I decided to go with something savory and it was also delicious(cheddar cheese, avocado & tomato). I do HIGHLY recommend the sweet crepes though… This location is quaint and the people who work here all seem nice. The service can be a bit slow(I’ve actually gone to the counter a few times for coffee refills or to get my check), but like I said the people are nice so for me it’s not a big deal. Crepes A Go Go = Yum

This place is a decent crêpe place… it has so much potential, but doesn’t quite make it. On the plus side, they have lots of savory and sweet crepes. I ordered the one with spinach, sundried tomatoes, caramelized onions, and goat cheese, and they added chicken, which made it great! They were very generous with the toppings and it made a good meal. On the downside, they only have white flour crepes. I’ve come to expect savory crepes to be whole wheat and sweet crepes to be white, so I was disappointed to have no whole wheat option. I don’t know how hard it would be to make a second batch of batter with whole wheat, but seems like it would be pretty easy to do! It’s a cute place inside, but the chairs definitely need to be re-upholstered. There are lots of cute touches with framed photos of France and fresh flowers on the table… all they need is some French music playing in the background(instead of the easy listening station) and to pick the dead flowers out of the vases, and it would be truly a gem.

Before heading to SF, I was craving crepes and decided to wait until I got to the city to fulfill my craving. Low and behold, Crepes A Go Go was next to Blo Blow Dry Bar where I went with my wifey. Small tiny space with good service and even better crepes! I ordered a spinach, feta cheese, and egg crêpe — the portion was huge and savory. I would have loved the spinach to be a bit more cooked and not have left a grimy feeling on my teeth, but I didn’t care — it was excellent! FINALANSWER: Totally recommend this place. The secret to an awesome crêpe is the pancake… well, their pancakes are the ISH!

My BF took me here as we strolling along the beautiful Marina. I got the Sauteed mushroom, spinach, caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes, chicken and cheese; All I can say is DAMN! The bread is a little bit crispy and has some sweetness to it. As soon as I dug my knife into it, the juice from the tomatoes and chicken oozes out. Soo freakin goood! How I wish I live in San Francisco. I can eat this everyday!

I love good crepes, and consider them an accessibly decadent comfort food. But this crêpe reminded me of good dorm food — it approximates, but it’s far from sublime. Other visitors got their crepes folded in paper to go, and had I done so, I might have enjoyed my crêpe more, thinking of it as street food, like at a fair. For $ 6.95, perhaps I shouldn’t be too harsh, but I did think the crêpe could have been better. The crêpe itself was thick and tough, rather than ethereal, the eggplant, peppers, and other vegetables weren’t the freshest, and the feta was acidic in the particular way of mediocre feta. The staff was friendly, the service prompt, top-40 played loudly on the boom box — a throwback to the 90s, but with interesting or at least quaint music the place would exude more charm. It’s ok, but I’d be surprised if I ever returned.

Oh I had high hopes when I heard your French accent when you took my order. alas being French apparently doesn’t mean you can make a good crêpe. Mine was bland, dry, overcooked, and very very average. Its almost embarrassing that the crepes in Austin are way better and much more authentic. although we did win best crepes in America(Fliphappy Crepes). I think Crepes A Go Go is relying a bit too much on the tastebud-impaired drunk crowd to judge their food.

We were in the area and wanted some pancakes. We did a quick Unilocal search and found Crepes a go go. They didn’t have pancakes, but I was ok having crepes anyways. I got the savory eggplant crêpe and my date got the banana/honey crêpe. They were both super nomz and super cheap. I would come back here again. I don’t need the little salad or the side potatoes at the other crêpe places.

Really tasty savory crepes. Haven’t had much experience with the sweet crepes. The menu lists every possible combination of egg filled crêpe but is light on the lunch and afternoon snack crepes. Though my favorite, chicken and grilled peppers never disappoints. And they’re not shy with the chicken. More afternoon options would have gotten it the 5th star. But the food they do have is very good.

I love crepes! This is a small store that has coffees and gelato as well as crepes. We both ordered sweet crepes after our lunch. I had honey, almonds and bananas. he had honey, peanut butter and bananas. Yummie! They both were delicious and we devoured them. Next time I’m shopping on union, I may very well get one of these to go and window shop.

2 words: NUTELLABANANA I went there last weekend with couple friends, sat outside, had a banana and nutella crepes with some tea. Great experience, cute place, fast service, delicious crepes and the fact it’s a block away from my place earns this place a 4 star review. Did I mention that banana nutella crepes was good? I almost had sex with it, literally.

I don’t know how I feel about paying $ 3.50 for a plain crêpe. That’s right. ONE. PLAIN. CREPE. $ 3.50!?! Anyways, I’m here right now waiting for my two crepes, starving and kind of still thinking that I paid too much for a crêpe. It better be really really good. Waiting. Still waiting and there’s only two other people here. Hungry. Eating. I’m not exactly impressed or satisfied right now. I should have just gone down the street to Osha and gotten real food. I got one plain crêpe and a turkey and cheese crêpe. Nothing special about them at all. What a waste. I’m going to cry one tear for my unsatisfied agony right now. (Additional information: small restaurant with about 5 tables, in a decent neighborhood with an American Apparel across the street, has gelato, and accepts Visa and MC.)

(See pic) 2 people working here to serve, make the crepes, makes the coffee, put the dishes into dish washer, serve, clean and be the cashier?! No wonder why they made mistakes and a bit slow… The King Lias(the sweetest crêpe) was very good– tons and tons of nutella as well as good amounts of coconut, bananas! The crepes were on the dryer and crisp edge sides, a slightly different style. Italian cappuccino, the ironic drink, as I asked what the differences were between their cap and Italian cap, the server said, «it is served with nutella at the bottom.» Say what?! I had it and it was pretty good coffee, you paid a quarter for the chocolate fudge. Our food was mixed and was served to someone else and had to wait another 10 mins. Fortunately we were not in a rush, unfortunately I was hungry.

If you’re into a Crêpe place for the fun factor or ambiance… don’t come here. If however you are purely on a mission to find the best tasting crepes… definitely put Crepes A Go Go on the hit list. With 4 locations in SF and a couple spots in Berkeley, you should have no problem finding one near you. I tend to think their strong suit is sweet dessert crepes. If you get the Nutella-Banana…I guarantee you’ll be a happy camper.

If I ever get a hankering for a crêpe, I’ll come here: Hearty chicken crepes with gobs of protein with your choice of cheese: swiss, monterey jack, ricotta or cheddar. Light crêpe batter, with a subtle crunch. Strawberry and nutella, hold the whip. $ 14 for two people? Wow. Hello bargain!
