I love this place! I came here because it serves breakfast and is across the street from my hotel. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fantastic! The staff knows most of the customers by name. Very charming. I will be eating here every morning during my stay in San Francisco.

Congrats, Cozy Café. You passed my «Can I use your restroom test?» so you are getting my 5 stars for being so cool. The story of my «Can I use your restroom test?»: I’m an Über driver in the city and one of the problems I have is — where to pee(yes, the struggle is real). So very often I stop by a random store, café, hotel or anything that potentially has a solution to my problem. We all know there is a general rule of «Restroom is for customers only» in most of the businesses. So I think that letting/forbidding a non-customer to use their bathroom is a great litmus test of a customer service. If a business allows a non-customer to use their bathroom it shows a deep care in serving people. Not matter if they bring you money or not. So this is deserved to be acknowledged with a 5 star review on Unilocal. If a business rejects a non-customer to use their bathroom it demonstrates an absence of the fundamental quality — serving the community. They are only here for money. If a business, in such a highly competitive environment, doesn’t have this«serving» attitude at their core they are not gonna last long. So my 1 star Unilocal review will help them to end their unfortunate enterprise slightly sooner. And you would be surprised how many businesses actually reject non customers. Moreover, some of them encourage you to buy something to become one and use the bathroom. So this clearly signals to me that the business is so bad that you would want to become a customer only if you desperately need to pee. Again, thanks Cozy Café for being compassionate to a basic human need and letting me use your bathroom. I appreciate your service!

This place is what San Francisco is missing — a well run café with simple/good food run by honest and hard working owner/operators. The food is spot-on for breakfast. This is one of my favorite bacon egg cheese sandwiches in the city. The portions are large, the flavors are spot on, and quality is consistent. The owners are the best part. They are the nicest people in the world. They really want to make their customers happy. I feel community at Cozy Café. That’s a fleeting feeling in a city that is being dominated by restaurateurs.

This is a great little place. They have good simple food that is reasonably priced, and are very friendly and welcoming. I recommend it if you are in need for a quick bite.

Good cup of coffee. Great breakfast sandwich. Had an everything bagel with fresh avocado, tomato and egg. Fresh made. It is like going to someone’s home. Two Asian ladies run it. As sweet as could be. And it is very reasonably priced. This is not fancy. There are some amazing looking baked goods places a couple of blocks down on Larkin. But sometimes you just want something simple that isn’t a big production.

Quick, straight forward, and painless. My favorite place to go for a quick breakfast. My girlfriend works next door and we often stop by for a quick bite before work or even during a 10 minute break, with plenty of time to order and enjoy. Always a smile on their faces… great way to start the day!

Cozy Café has great breakfast sandwiches at affordable prices, but the best thing is that the second you walk in the door the two ladies behind the counter greet you enthusiastically by name. And I got this treatment on the second visit! This is somewhere that you can easily visit every day just for the company! Thanks, May and Sinta!

Very friendly staff. Nothing amazing about the breakfast but definitely edible and the coffee was very good. I missed Jin the previous owner and found his food presentation better.

Love this place. The bf and I go here every weekend if not twice in one weekend for breakfast. The food is consistently yummy, the ladies are super friendly and love loyal customers! Place is tiny and clean. Overall a great little local spot if you want a simple breakfast sandwich and coffee for under $ 10. I go for the ham egg and cheese on everything bagel with tomatoes and sometimes avocado, with an iced coffee.

May and Sinda are amazing! They are so nice to my boyfriend Thomas and I. The smoothies are amazing and they will make any concoction you want. Pineapple and mango with apple juice is phenomenal. The breakfast bagels are simple but delicious. The bread they use is very soft and tasteful. They are always nice when I enter and love our dog Lola. In addition, I always see them at night after they closed up cleaning. Every single night, for real. They are hard working and honest. This is a local coffee shop with great people who care about you and want to get to know you. I hope they stay in San Francisco for a very long time.

Time: 12:17pm/62°F cloudy Purpose: Dropping of a colleague for a meeting with clients. Since I couldn’t pull strings after second attempt. Said to take less than 15 mins so, I sat in car. Then 20 mins has elapsed, I felt edgy and got out for air. Curiosity nearby always gets me. Ambiance: Place is located on the bottom level of apartment complex. From the looks of how it’s set up, it’s pretty much like storage area or front desk of run down managers office. Faded orange paint with mirrors, wooden box bench, backless stools, couple of tables, cold case fridge. Mismatched furnitures along with plenty of personal items in plain view. Some may find it disorganized and some may find it charming. No matter how it’s view, its a run down dated feel. Staff: Two older Vietnamese ladies about late 50s. Soft spoken friendly while engaging conversation about menu items. The short hair lady, I assume owner/operator was informative. Letting me know what type of bread before I order. Went ahead place order and waited. Cleanliness: Grade C, debris here and there. Counter facing window had mustard smudges visible from other side of room. Restroom had mop upside down with head dripping water back bucket. Strong pine-sol emits from restroom to area of eating. Eats/Drinks: Turkey melt $ 6.50 and bottle peach Snapple $ 2. Sando was made with the cheapest roll available. Enriched white flour with no benefits. At one point, I said that’s all the bread you have? She felt disappointment from me then lets me know that I can use bagels too. She was definitely wanting to pry that $ 10 out of my hands. I ask for bread to be toasted. Felt and tasted like bread was toss on panini press without pulling top down. Fixings were standard type while the turkey meat was too salty, processed meat. As a matter of fact no matter how much bread there was. It couldn’t balance out the saltiness. Not worth $ 6.50 here. Would pay $ 3.50 at most, but that’s it. This sando had the makings of Grocery Outlet goods. Not kidding here. Main Features: Nothing worth noting, everything is the same prepackaged run of mill goods. If you ask me just to name something then, I would say the breakfast combos. Can’t go wrong with those. Products/Services: Granola, bagel, croissant, oatmeal, english muffins, pancakes, sandwich, fruit plate, breakfast combos(various choices), BLT, turkey melt, turkey, club, candies/gum, fresh fruit, cookies, assorted cold drinks, blended drinks, hot drinks/tea, boiled egg etc. Punch Lines: Lackluster ambiance, prepackaged, old world service, wood paneling, laid back, calm vibe, spotty service, off putting, nothing special, claustrophobic interior, light bites, quite bland, cozy, run down, go elsewhere, street parking. Tradeoffs: You’re paying prices that of a reputable deli, but getting cafeteria or lower level eats. Final Thoughts: I should’ve known when pictures looks better than the item itself. However, it’s a good place to hideout or do some catching up along with not wanting tonbeen seen. Lesson learned here? Don’t assume most places are the same as around. My tongue still recovering from sodium overdose after two hours has gone by.

Small, quick, and relatively inexpensive(compared to SF prices). The two ladies who run the place are a hoot and so accommodating, we love coming here for a quick coffee and sandwich! Plain coffee is just ok but EVERYTHING else is fantastic, especially the egg & cheese sandwich!

Some of the most solid and reasonably priced breakfast sandwiches in the area. Nice little place tucked away with two to three ladies working away. Can eat there but we always take-out. It’s like $ 4.75 for a bomb sausage/egg/cheese/everything bagel… so good. Coffee is pretty on par too but I’m not the most picky about that… Used to be called Joys… now the sign says Thad’s but… it’s all the same place. Good solid breakfast and brunch and lunch foods here. Don’t miss it. It’s a weekend destination for us
