I had just worked out and wanted to eat a healthy bite before going to eat five slices of pizza to gain the calories back. Courtney Produce has beautiful produce and lovely juices.
The people who work here are very kind and kind of give the store a family feel.

amazing peanut butter and jelly on cinnamon raisin bread. they split it into two small halves and I made the mistake of buying both, you only need one half! it’s so filling! eat it with some milk and your set

Courtney’s Deli is a great spot to get sandwiches and produce. The sandwiches are good and inexpensive. I usually get a BLT or a tuna fish sandwich. Where else can you go to get coffee for 50 cents! Make sure you bring cash and plenty of change.

If you shop for produce and flowers based on price, this place is for you. You have to be selective though — sometimes you’ll see a great deal on high-​quality peaches but really expensive grapes, and sometimes you’ll find the opposite. The deals tend to reflect what is in season.
They occasionally have hard-​to-​find items such as fresh garbanzo beans (in the pod) — keep your eyes open and keep an open mind. Leaf produce tends to be wilted, though, and some things are frankly at the end of their shelf life — fine when the price is marked down, but occasionally its not a deal at all. No matter, there is usually something else that really is a deal.
Overall, I really like this place a lot and am a happy customer.

This basically defines the best of neighborhood grocery. They make fresh juice every day, finding fun combinations from the fruit and veggies in the store. Get there early for the carrot ginger. I’ve been eating their fresh sandwiches for years now, especially the avocado and artichoke heart, the avo and cheese, and the vegeburger.
They just stock food they can get behind – as local and fresh and organic as they can. The young guy who works there is the epitome of committed young businessman who knows and loves the neighborhood. (The patron, Mr. Courtney himself, is quite a character.)

Cash Only. Amazing specials on fruit, depending on the day. Super fresh, healthy, cheap to-​go, pre-​made sandwiches and fresh semifreddie’s pastries at the best prices. Friendly staff and best prices and hours around.
wasn’t crazy about the fresh orange juice, sold in the refrigerator case, but see for yourself.

Best corner store ever. You can get a small cup of coffee for 50 cents! The staff is super friendly. They have fresh juice in a bunch of different varieties. I love their carrot juices and the pastries are really good. They have most of produce you might need for a meal and fresh flowers. The little PBJs on cinnamon bread are banging too.

Courtney’s Produce is one of the places that makes me love living in my neighborhood. I like to get all of my produce there, its cheap and fresh, baguettes and sandwiches (nothing fancy but really fresh, a good variety and cheap). They have saved my dinner parties on more than a few occasions when its two minutes before and I realize I am missing a few key ingredients. They press juice and I can get a small carrot and celery juice for about three dollars. That puts all of those new fancy juice places to shame. The staff is great. Only downfall– cash only.

Handy place to visit if you live in the ‘hood and you only need a few things.
My sister lives around the block, so I’ve been here a few times.
I recommend that you buy their flowers — when they have fresh flowers, they’re pretty inexpensive at as cheap as a few dollars each.
Nice little sandwiches which are reasonably priced (for San Francisco) too.

I drive 40 miles from South Bay just to get peanut butter and jelly sandwiches from Courtney Produce II for my boyfriend.
The sandwiches here are really great. They use strawberry jelly and then cut fresh strawberries to bury inside the sandwiches. The bread is a fluffy marbled cinnamon bread. Delicious.
I usually call ahead to make sure they still have sandwiches because it’s a long drive. One day I called ahead and asked them to save me some. Not only did they save some from me, they specifically made me extra sandwiches so I could take some extra ones home. Amazing customer service. It made my day.
Overall great place. Beautiful flowers, fresh fruit, yummy sandwiches and always worth a long drive to visit.
