This is a building in flux. Renovation is still going on and there were things missing. We had two people in #511,a one bedroom unit. They only had the room key for one, and the building manager asked me make a copy.(They later reimbursed me for the expense). The couch cushions were naked when we checked in and it took a few days for them to reupholster it. The kitchen has knives but not cutting board(they told me I should get my own); there was broom but not a mop or toilette brush, etc, etc. Then there is that Tenderloin location. There is yelling and screaming coming from Ellis side of the building every night, and often thumping and booming«music» at 2 in the morning, that I had to call the police once or twice. During the day, it is children noise through the single pane windows from the school at the back of the building, plus the renovation noise. On the bright side, the room was clean and bright. It’s southern exposure kept the bedroom bright all day long, and living room cool in the afternoon. If it weren’t for the location, I wouldn’t have minded staying there for a long term. The Internet connection, however, was nothing to write home about. It was mostly unusable in the bedroom and occasionally lose connection in the living room. They finally fixed it two days before I move out, so I get to enjoy the functioning wifi for full one day. As for the price, it is only a couple hundred dollars more than comparable unfurnished unit in Tenderloin. For that, you get furnished and utilities paid, so it is a good deal. So, I’m giving them 3 for the building/location, and +1 for the bright room and the leasing office has been very accomodating of my move-out date. It’s been a harrowing experience with Wicklow Management, my new landlord, and I had to switch moving date a few times. Landmark Leasing has been nonchalant through out, and didn’t hold me responsible for changing dates several times. If you are moving to the City and need a temp place while searching for a permanent one, this is the place.

These apartments are very clean and nicely remodeled! The staff was friendly and quick to respond. The neighborhood is so-so but well worth being this close to Union Square, very walkable.

I had a great experience with this building. The apartments were clean with nice finishes and the price was right! It’s also located right by Union Square so I could walk to all of the shopping and restaurants.
