This place is like a magical wonderland of strange items that are EXACTLY what you never knew you wanted. Most of my apartment is furnished with their furniture, you can find amazing antiques and great gently used couches constantly. They also just seem to MIRACULOUSLY have exactly what I need. Today I needed a mannequin torso, gave them a call and TA-DAH oodles of mannequins had been donated the day before! When my camera was stolen from my car I was able to find a perfect replacement! Also the staff is amazing and helpful and sweet so be very very nice to them.

Scheduled weeks in advance for a pickup. Only picked up half of what we needed them to pick up because they don’t have enough room in the truck. So annoying.

Cool ass shop! After traveling from NYC to SF with my lover, we realized we should’ve done more SF weather research. It’s freaking cold! I mean, certainly too cold for July. We escape into this shop in search of a jacket for my lover who’s shivering. We find a great selection. And a cool, retro-looking dress for me(granted with a missing button but still cool). Needless to say: he found a jacket, and absolutely loves it. The staff here was weird however. Guy at register thought he was too cool for school. Ironically complimented the jacket we were purchasing. Uh, thanks? Great job cool guy. But this was a cool shop with a great, affordable selection of thrifted clothes!

I scored the most amazing dress in their $ 1.00 bin and some vintage shoes for like $ 3.00 and a few other dresses for about $ 2 – 3 bucks each. Retro/vintage feel. I love this place because of the random items I will find. Most people don’t think of shopping here but I always find things hat I wouldn’t at Thift Town. It seems as if the clothes here are less picked through. They have a fantastic CD collection and have found some amazing albums here and feel like a kid in a candy store. They have a great mini book store and furniture. I found a 30s vintage vanity for $ 125!

Cool place. Fun décor outside and in. Summer dresses under $ 20. I had to give it three stars, because the value is not consistent inside. It’s a thrift store, yet some really average, old furniture inside was over $ 230. Just a little steep for a thrift store, although I guess being in San Francisco and in that neighborhood, that may not be unreasonable.

This review is purely based on the book section, which is amazing! Bought 6 books, all in nearly pristine condition, for under $ 10. SIX practically brand new books cost me less than ONE brand new book from any book retail chain. And I’m talking books on Oprah’s booklist, the NY Times bestselling list, or classics. That is a great deal, folks($ 1.00 plus a few cents each) and much cheaper even than what you’d find at used book stores. Definitely coming back to select my next read. FYI: Ran into someone who works for a used bookstore while roaming the aisles here, and turns out she buys books here and marks the prices up to sell at used bookstores.
