My family and I have been coming to this Church for years. It remains a safe place to explore faith, grow with genuine people, and get active with the City of San Francisco. Some additional pros is an inspiring and supportive Pastor, a nursery for all Mommies with infants & toddlers, a great program for the kids preschool & up, an amazing Worship Team with some of the best singers in the Bay Area, & ample parking space is available! This Church stands in the shadow of my old High School. Bi-monthly the surrounding neighborhood would be papered with flyers announcing free pizza and a raffle where you could win cash. These pizza and free money events all took place during our lunch hour inside the Church. A sizable amount of us would be lured in with the promise of lunch and possible monetary gain. We caught onto what the Church’s motives were soon after we filed into the rectory hall. We were all told to have a seat, and that the pizza was on its way. But while we wait for the pizza, how about we take this opportunity to talk about the Lord. More specifically, to talk about the Lord and how much he would like for us to save ourselves until marriage. Uhm, yeah. We all start looking around nervously at each other, realizing we were duped. After enduring the half hour tirade on how God ain’t lettin’ no ho’s into heaven we finally were allowed to eat as much pizza as we wanted.
