I went here yesterday for the first time and it was delicious! I tried the Havana coffee because it seemed to be the most popular. Now I can see why. It was delicious and not too sweet. I also got the iced Dolce Gusto coffee from the fridge. While I think it is way over priced it was still delicious. But I probably won’t buy it again. The space is also small and when it’s busy can bee hard to move around. I will definitely be back though :)

A simple review for a simple cup of coffee. But my god that coffee was good. Truly delicious brew, nice environment, clean easy and fast. And reasonably priced. Excellent!

LOVE the coffee here. I’m not super picky about coffee, but I know a good cup of coffee when I see one. I moved back to the city recently and wanted to try some good coffee spots, which I know SF has plenty of. The first time I came here, I got a regular latte and was really impressed by the flavor. A solid cup of coffee. I’ve also tried their havana latte, and it’s as good as people say! I might be biased because I love condensed milk though. Coffee Bar has become one of my favorite spots for coffee, and I’ll be frequenting it a lot more for my morning coffee needs.

I started the day right with a Havana Latte. It’s basically a sweeter version of a normal latte but there’s something magical about the barista and the coffee beans they used. I haven’t enjoyed a great latte like this in a long time. Smooth and sweet.

So, I just moved back to the Bay Area after being away for the better part of a year… where I came from(South Florida), the only coffee options consisted of Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts. So, the story is: after spending four hours wandering San Francisco, I was overcome by a dire need for a caffeinated break… Now, I refuse(mostly out of principal) to frequent a Starbucks for the first few months I’m back. But then I remembered –as I pulled out my phone to access Google Maps– that all I had to do to find a small, non-chain coffee shop HERE was lift my eyes off of the pavement and look at each street corner. This time, I lifted my head and was instantly met by the sight of this simplistic, yet trendy coffee bar in the wall, called, well wouldntcha know – Coffee Bar. Haha. I ordered a cold brew and was pleasantly surprised by not only the delicious flavor, but the totally reasonable price. To be honest, I had been prepared to pay six dollars for a 12 oz drink, but I spent half of that. Great find in the heart of downtown.

With an abundance of coffee shops in FiDi, I can never understand why there is a line at this place in the mornings. I don’t get some swanky latte or some off the top creation(nor do those in front of me, from my experience)…so why?! Is it because the coffee is individually dripped? word, but aint nobody got time. Are the beans organically grown in Portland and picked by vegan children in ironic t-shirts? Fantastic, I don’t care. While I’m no coffee elitist, I am picky about my coffee… maybe just tad under a snob. When the morning coffee fix is needed and there is more than two people in line, I’ll go out of my way to peets for a similar coffee expreience for less money with less judgmental stares as im decked out in my yuppie-wear. Your coffee aint bad, but you aint good. Keep it moving.

When you work in FiDi and there’s seriously 7 different coffee shops on the same block, how do you choose? You listen to people who tell you to choose Coffee Bar. Even though theres always a line out the door, they’re quick because they have friendly and efficient baristas who know you’re rushing to get to work. Each beverage is made with such detail. Their Havana Latte(latte sweetened with condensed milk) is my favorite.

Your coffee shop Great coffee, consistent. Also have other types of coffee for someone more adventure(Vietnamese Coffee, etc…) Not a lot of room for sitting, there are some benches outside, but we usually grab and go so its all good.

You will walk out pleased. I think they’ve got decent baristas, as well as beans. It was how I expect espresso style coffee to be served. It was a standard decore/fitout, more somewhere I would pick up my coffee to go, opposed to have in. The staff were also friendly. Would be happy to make a regular coffee location.

I’m definitely a fan of this place! I’ve tried their iced Vietnamese coffee and iced Havana latte. The Vietnamese coffee is strong — just the way I like it. What attracted me to try the Havana latte is the fact that it’s sweetened with condensed milk. The latte had a very interesting taste — interesting in a good way. Love it! This is my go to spot every time I’m craving a special cup of coffee.

The ambiance is a medium sized coffee bar. At morning rush hours, Coffee Bar is usually packed with people waiting inside to indulge on some caffeine. Lines for ordering usually are out the door. The wait time isn’t too bad, about 5 – 10 minutes before your order is made(unless if you get an iced beverage)! :) I really enjoy the lattes here and that’s what I would typically order. However, this time o got a sample of the Horchata cold-brewed. It was so AMAZING, with the perfect hint of cinnamon and vanilla! I love love love this ice beverage. but it comes out to be pretty pricey at $ 5.60 a pop! The only sad thing I have a bit to complain was the price. As a result, this shall only be a specialty treat once in a awhile: o

My boss introduced me to Coffee Bar a week and a half ago. She told me «Starbucks and Pete’s are for old people» and that«all the cute start-up boys hangout here». Being perfectly comfortable with my relationship status, I laughed. However, the coffee was definitely n times better than any cup I’ve had at Starbucks and Pete’s, so as a result, I’ve come here 3 times since. I don’t plan on disappearing anytime soon. It’s literally a 5 minute walk from where I work. I’ve had the Havana Latte twice. I tried the Mocha Recchiuti today. You definitely don’t need to add any sugar to the Havana Latte(it’s sweet and probably extremely fattening, but also the best thing ever if you like sweet coffee — without being overly sweet). The Mocha Recchiuti is a bit more bitter. The Mocha Recchiuti is also extremely strong, you feel energized the minute you drink it. Pretty sure I won’t be able to sleep tonight! They also do cute little hearts, and other designs with the cream, you know, typical of the hipster coffee house. The only seating is outside, and I don’t recommend planning on doing work here. I checked for WiFi and they have a network, but I think you have to ask for the password(it wasn’t posted anywhere). It’s a place to quickly meet up for coffee and chat.

Finally got a chance to try this coffee bar out. I still prefer their other location because the lines here get way too unwieldy, but that being said, they also know how to handle this line better. Here they actually take your order when you’re waiting in line and they have a lot more baristas at work. Would give this place a five-star rating but I’ll leave it at a four since I think the lines are better at the other location. Same good coffee as their other location – I love the Caramel latte – though I can never tell if it’s the latte or the caramel syrup that makes theirs so good, but it’s definitely my favorite caramel latte out of all of the places that I’ve been to. Croissants here are also pretty good! tldr; same great Coffee Bar lattes, but lines are worse since this one is literally in the heart of FiDi

The havana latte is probably a bazillion calories but it’s sooooo hard to care when it’s soooooo delicious. I think they use Mr. Espresso for their beans, and I’ve heard it said that their quality of the beans isn’t «the best» but again, I’m so smitten with the havana latte that it really doesn’t matter. If you don’t like sweet coffee, do not get the havana latte. But if you’re a iced latte fiend like me, definitely try it. Havana latte’s delicious secret comes from the condensed milk mixed with some regular milk and espresso. It’s a wonderful, sweet, rich, treat. I also like their caramel and vanilla lattes which their housemade syrups but havana reigns supreme in my heart. The FiDi location is quite small and will get crowded. The Bryant location is beautiful and huge and a perfect place to work.

Coffee bar has been bookmarked for too long! Decided to treat myself to a pricey latte to rid myself of Monday morning blues — Coffee bar did not disappoint. I read reviews before hand and saw some great buzz about their almond latte, which I ended up getting. It was delicious! The taste of the coffee was stronger than in some almond lattes I’ve tasted, where the almond latte overpowers most of the espresso flavors, but not this one. Even with the added splenda, the coffee flavor was strong and powerful, yet retaining the grainy almond milk taste. Tips: +if you’re in a rush, you can drop $ 2 into a jar and grab your own drip coffee to go. +almond milk is an extra 40⁄50 cents? +pretty latte art :)

The Havana Latte is amazinggg. & I’m super glad there’s 2 locations in FiDi! =) This place may not top the Mission District location, but it serves its purpose for the location & size. I’m not much of a coffee person either. I always feel that Peet’s or Starbucks tastes too bland & other coffee shops just taste too strong. However, coffee bar is spot on. Must try’s at this place are: –Havana Latte –Vanilla Latte –Cobb Salad –Quinoa Salad & the Salmon Topper –Ham & Cheese Pop Tart –Almond Croissant –Iced Tea Also, if you’re on the go and just want some really quick coffee, they have a self serve area where you put $ 2 in a jar and then just serve the coffee yourself.

There are many things I am and many things I’m not… a coffee connoisseur I would say is one of them(not being). I can’t do black coffee, and I’m picky. Sometimes I feel like a «cheap date» with liking McDonald’s iced coffee. I usually prefer Starbucks and when I am near one, Philz. I decided to head to Coffee Bar after stopping by a nearby client’s office. I stopped in last Tuesday right before 10:30AM. There were still a handful of people getting coffee. It was a hard choice between the usually strong iced Vietnamese coffee and the Caramel Latte, but I chose the Caramel Latte. It was 12 oz. for $ 4.25, a little pricey indeed. After about five minutes or so, my coffee was ready and I took the first sip. first sip had a little bite but it was good. Second sips and beyond.OMGG.best latte ever! It was very well balanced, not too sweet, but not bitter at all and not«strong» tasting. It did give me a teeny bit of a buzz after I finished. Will definitely be back when I’m around that area of FiDi. They had a good assortment of drinks, without having a huge list like the corporate coffeehouses. They also have a $ 3 Paypal credit on the Paypal app for anyone that wants to save a little moola. Wish they would open a third location closer to my office!

The vanilla latte is very good and I liked it. Positive first experience so I’ll definitely be back. Additionally, the layout of this store is very neatly organized. This certainly gives customers a notable impression of accuracy, efficiency and simplicity. One of the best coffee shops I’ve patronized. Key points for this rating: — friendly staff members(+1) — clean facility(+1) — good service(+1) — delicious coffee beverages(+1) — outdoor seating available(+1)

Hands down the best caramel latte I have ever had. I love how you can taste the burnt caramel flavor and instead of the artificial syrup flavor that is so common every where else. Also really enjoyed the vietnamese coffee– loved so much that I bought a whole bottle to go. I love the atmosphere of this place. Definitely worth a try if you’re around the FiDi area!

Coffee Bar has three locations, one in Upper Mission and two in FiDi(less than a quarter mile apart). They’re famous for their Havana Latte(condensed milk and espresso) and Vietnamese Iced Coffee(espresso with their house cold brew) and have a cult following also for their extra spicy chai latte. * HAVANNALATTE($ 4?) — 4.5STARS: Espresso, milk, and condensed milk. Tastes like heaven. * CHAILATTE($ 4+) — 4.5STARS: Comes in two sizes(12 and 16 oz I believe), offered with regular, non-fat, soy, or almond milk — soy and almond both slightly sweetened. It’s equal parts Bhakti Original Chai liquid concentrate( ) and steamed milk — rich, sweet, creamy and extra spicy! It was so good, I tried to find a grocery to buy the unsweetened version, but only found it available at Whole Foods SOMA(original version) or bottled and premixed(Rainbow Grocery). I wish it was less sweet, even with«less chai» it was too sweet for my taste. You can order the liquid concentrate, dry tea bags, or pre-mixed bottles online — but shipping was $ 15, ouch. You can also find several cafes and a few grocers in the SF area selling Bhakti(likely the Original Flavor) — . Guess Coffee Bar has a new loyal follower. A bit pricey($ 4+ for a regular sized latte — there is an «SF Fee» charged on top of all purchases), but delicious. No wonder there is always a line! They have some pre-packed salads and a variety of pastries including Anthony’s cookies!
