I was at the store friday and a young lady helped me out. I know I have lots of questions to ask, but she was faking to be friendly in helping me answer my questions. She actually rolled her eyes and thought I did not see it. I still bought the bag, but I am thinking of returning the bag. I could spend my money at stores with better quality customer service. quality of customer service has gone down since I bought the first bag back in 2006. And it was also under a different owner. Update 9÷11÷15 Customer service Matt called. He did not mention who he is or where he is calling from. It was like pulling teeth from a healthy person’s mouth. I told him the experience I had at the store and he mention to call customer service if you have any questions regarding the bags. At the end I did return both bags I bought. At the end of the day, being happy spending money at a store that treats customers with respect is priority. We all work hard for our money.

After noticing my husband making this store a frequent stop during our dates in the Mission but never actually buying anything, I figured I’d pick one up for him for our one-year wedding anniversary. I had an idea of what I was expecting to spend, but lo and behold the bag I was going to get him actually went on sale! On top of that with any bag purchase they were throwing in wallets(normally like 20 bucks) for half off. So I ended up spending less than what I’d anticipated for just one bag, on TWO items. Sweet. All the guys that work here are friendly and helpful in a laid-back way. Mike was really cool and totally patient, especially since I’m out of my element when it comes to buying high quality dude gear. The husband loves his bag! Definitely recommend you stop in if you’re in the area — they have a great selection of different types of bags, shoes, and can even make custom bags.

Santa’s secret closet made specifically for messengers. Location & Layout: Place is super dope, it’s located on valencia_street amongst all the other retail stores. The place isn’t hard to miss. Place is super beautiful. They have a dope revolver like the ones in the dry cleaning places, except is full of backpacks. Make your own custom bag! Customer service: On point, very patient workers. Saw a doode come in debating to get a jacket between two sizes, he ended up getting the larger one, came back a minute later wanting to return the jacket and switch for the smaller one. I could see the frustration the worker had but he just sucked it up and did the return. Protip: If you see something you like online, call the store to see if they have it so you don’t waste a trip

This Chrome store is pretty darn awesome. Walked in there to return my Soyuz backpack so I can get the Bravo Night since it was on sale online. Since the anniversary sale for instore was last weekend, I thought I had to buy the Bravo Night online to get the sale discount, but little did I expect them to be able to give me the 20% discount instore even though the promotion was over! Saved me the shipping and the wait. Walked away with a shiny Bravo Night backpack :) very happy camper.

I’ve lived in SF for over two years and still hadn’t walked into a Chrome store until today. I’m considering joining Bay Area Bike Share since I moved a little bit further from work and don’t feel like dealing with owning a bike and experiencing the heartbreak of having it stolen, so I finally plucked up the courage to pay them a visit and check out their bike-friendly bags. Jeff asked me if I needed any help since I looked a little lost after admiring their industrial display of bags and clothing. He put up with my cluelessness kindly so that I could suss out what kind of bag would suit me best. I eventually chose the messenger bag over the backpack style, and with his help, familiarized myself with how to carry it and how it felt with weight in it.(Yup, they have 2 – 4 lb weights you can put in the bags to get a more realistic feel for them.) I also grabbed one of their accessories for $ 10 with bag purchase(regularly $ 20). I felt confident about this investment since they also have a lifetime guarantee. Before leaving, I migrated all my stuff from my shitty messenger bag into my new, shiny Chrome bag and walked home with a much happier shoulder! The verdict: Chrome knows how to treat its customers.
