Celandine Day Spa

i went to Calendine Day Spa on 1÷14÷2015. Unlike many other establishments of the same type, I have to say Calendine is actually quite clean and well heated. Unfortunately, that is all I can say positive about this day spa. I found the service to be not up to par. For the more expensive than average hourly rate for Shiatsu, one would expect a decent massage. That was certainly not the case. What I did get was a rather disappointing body rub that was poor value for money

service was good, the masseur was nice and honest… she told me this spa is more expensive compared to others… she even suggested to try other cheaper spas to see which one i like better. i tipped her 20%.

I would agree with Ruby K,. The waxing I had done was horrible, for the money I was charged and the hair left on my body, very poor service. Yes she was kind but when I got home and looked in the mirror, I was like you got to be kidding me!
They would have had a $ 260 repeat customer every five weeks if they were any good, but they were the worse I ever had.
I had a massage, was suppose to be 60 mins, did 50 mins. The entire massage there were people hanging out in the back room having conversations like they were at a bus stop and not a spa. .
I have had hundreds of massages and this therapist was not into itt at all… horrible massage, horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN-​do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

Ive been going to Celandine for a few months now. At first I was a little skeptical because they dont seem to mind when you flip over and the towel falls on the ground. But now I am rating it 5 stars, all well deserved.
The massages are wonderful, and this is coming to a EXTREMELY picky massage-​goer. Michelle is adorable and extremely nice. She is so strong without being hurtful (well good pain anyways)
I can always get in on a moments notice, the prices are unbeatable, and the spa itself is accessible and nice (although i wish was a little darker in the room, cause I like it dark).

I went to this place after a friend recommended it. I’ve had facials before but never really thought it was a necessity or anything special. After my European facial I became a fan of facials and now it’s something I treat myself to at least once a month. Since my skin is pretty fair they told me I only needed to go once a month. the whole experience is very relaxing and relieves your stress. The European massage is an hour of facial massage, exfoliation, black head and white head removal, deep mask, and moisturizing. An extra bonus is you also get a massage, they massage your neck, back, arms and hands. At the end you will truly notice a difference, you will notice a natural beautiful glow on your face. This place is very clean and they make sure you are comfortable, if the room is too cold they even turn on the heat. A review said that some people kept coming in the room that they were doing the facial in to get supplies. I personally never had that happen to me and I’ve been going to this place for over 6 months now, all the workers are always nice and the place is very quiet and respect my privacy. I personally like how this place is really small it gives your experience a more private feel, not like having tons of customers walk in and out. You know that for that hour they are there to pamper you.

I took my friend here as a pre wedding treat. We both planned on getting facials and our eyebrows waxed. My facial was alright but nothing special, then she proceeded to do a neck and shoulder massage. This felt like I was being tortured. I asked her several times to not use so much pressure but it fell on deaf ears. I also found it annoying that there was no sink in the room and she had to go in and out everytime she needed to rinse the clothes or wash out the basin of water. Even more annoying, other technicians were coming in and out of my room to get supplies for their clients. I thought that was not very professional or relaxing.
During my treatment I opted not to have my brows done but my brave friend did! The gal that did it for her didn’t turn on enough lighting and ended up overwaxing her brow. They were apologetic and told her to come back in 2 weeks for them to «fix» the job. Problem was she was getting married the following week.
Bottom line: service was okay for the price but if you are looking for a relaxing spa experience with true profesionals this is not the place to go.

Wow! I am truly impressed with the service I received today. I know my esthetician went over the time called for my type of facial. I had the absolute best facial (including extractions), EVER! And trust me, I am fussy. Their Signature Facial is «to die for» and I can’t wait to go back. It’s a peaceful and quiet little place and they only opened five months ago. Go! You won’t regret it! (=

I was a bit skeptical about coming to this place because it didn’t have a lot of reviews on Unilocal,but I’m glad I went for it anyways!
I went to this spa with two of my friends and we all received a Swedish massage and a European facial with exfoliation. The place is very reasonably priced because both treatments were an hour each and it only cost us $ 125. We probably researched every spa on Unilocal but we were never quite satisfied with the time to dollar proportions.
We were all accommodated at the same time, and that’s a good thing if you’re planning to bring people along. The ladies were all very nice and gave the perfect combination or relaxing silence and good conversation. They didn’t even talk to each other! They also don’t leave you alone in the room to pass the time. They wait patiently for every part of the process. The place is also very clean and they set a very zen, peaceful environment.
I didn’t really care too much about getting a facial because I don’t really have skin problems, but I ended up enjoying the facial more than my massage because i was surprised by how wonderful and relaxing the process was! The massage was like a lot of massages I’ve gotten, but the facial was perfect for the price! $ 65 for an hour facial is a great deal, especially if the facial is awesome.
Also, the masseuses don’t pressure you to tip! It is strictly optional, but after a day of sheer relaxation, you’d feel terrible not to tip!
