I can’t say enough good things about Carol. I have been a client for 5 years, and have referred a number of other clients who have now been Carol’s clients for years as well. Many of us came to Carol with hair issues, she resolved every one! They all LOVE Carol, and I do too. She is a gifted colorist. I found Carol when I was looking for someone who would be equal to the challenge of keeping my hair color looking great. Carol has excelled here, she’s creative and always thinking about ways to make it better. Carol is also gives fantastic haircuts. She has taken on long & sleek, short and funky, massively curly and unruly, and a fashion insider who has very specific needs, and others from my family & friends with assorted hair needs, and each of us leaves the salon happy every time. Carol makes a point of keeping current with styles and products, she is a great resource for large and small ideas & changes. She has the highest standards for quality so you know you are getting the best in every way as her client. Carol is also a terrific person, she thinks of everything to make you relaxed & comfortable, she cares about her clients, she’s a interesting conversationalist, and she is smart. Carol has been keeping my gang happy for five years, and we have 100% confidence that we will all still be her clients and looking great for another five years, and beyond!

I’m a dude and don’t fancy myself as fancy or spending too much money on things for myself. However, after many disappointing haircuts over many years, my wife who was a concierge in SF, recommended I try Carol (from her great reviews).
It’s now been over 4 years or so that I’ve been going to Carol for amazing haircuts. I always have a relaxing, pleasant experience and of course, my hair always ends up looking awesome. I don’t hesitate to recommend her for guys (and I hear she’s pretty good at women’s hair too) and for me she’s well worth the drive up the peninsula to SF for a killer haircut and a zen-​like experience.

Carol is amazing. She has been cutting my hair for 6 years now and every cut is exactly what I’m looking for, and her head massages are divine. Carol recently moved salons and the new space is clean and relaxing. I can’t wait for my hair to grow out so I can go back!

This review for Carol is long overdue! I first went to her to fix a cheap haircut I received from an individual who decided that the trim I asked for was not what I needed, and she hacked several inches off. I felt very unpretty.
I researched amazing hairdressers in San Francisco and her name popped up. From the minute I walked in Carol was sweet, professional, fun and understanding. My haircut turned out lovely and she seamlessly smoothed out the crazy layers from my cheapie hatchet job.
I’ve been going to Carol ever since and I will follow her no matter what salon is lucky enough to host her chair. She’s a superb stylist with a great eye for what works and what does not. She’s also given me awesome home styling tips for controlling my goofy cowlick. She never pressures me into products or additional hair services. She didn’t even blink when I told her I used a black Sharpie for my stray gray hairs! She’s so conscientious and committed to making sure my hair is how I like it. And it is. Thanks to Carol!
