Just went in and sat for fifteen minutes for NO ONE to come to our table, while there were six employees right across from is laughing it up and having a great time! Then «the boss» went to go get a server who came from the back. She looked like she was high and just rolled out of bed. Smh. No thanks.

We were so hungry when we found this diner. We walked in and stood there for a few minutes without even being acknowledged by any of the staff which were just socializing amongst themselves. We were finally seated and given menus. Several of the menus had hairs in them (so gross) Not knowing there was a Lori’s diner next door we ordered food even with the menu hair sitings. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, which arrived on a huge 12 inch plate, the sandwich itself was like a ¼ the size of the plate and the bread was so hard it wasn’t really edible. I don’t remember the exact price but I think it was around $ 10. Totally not worth it! The staff clearly did not want to be there.

I was wandering around and stumbled into this almost dinner looking place with a very diverse menu. I was seated promptly, and immediately started hearing conversations between the manager and the customers — clearly a locals kind of place.
Ordered a side Caesar salad, tortellini, and Lyeth Cabernet. Salad was good, as was the wine (accompanied by lots of water since I seem to have dehydrated myself today).
Was a little asked because they couldn’t do a half ravioli and half tortellini (same sauce and price for both), and wouldn’t exclude the tomato, but not that big of a deal. The tortellini did cone with 3 pieces of bread, so that’s a plus.
If I find myself in the Mission neighborhood again, I’ll drop in to try something else.

This place is somewhere that you are very drunk and want to put something in your system you come here. There was one good worker, the rest were very moody and unfriendly. The two girls working as cashiers are in gym clothes, very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Came here on a Friday night hoping for somewhat quick service since we are all Starving, but service is suuuuuper slow. Half my party has fallen asleep, and the other half fighting to keep our eyes awake. It’s been 20 mins, hopefully the food is good.

Late night eat in the mix of the tourist/​street bums/​drunkies. We arrived at 1am and watched all the clubbers walk in to soak up the alcohol and glance at each other to see if they can hook up with each other. We ordered some blueberry pancakes and a chicken omelette. Pretty solid taste for the late night scene, I would recommend if you need to eat real food late night in the city.

Wow! What a rude service! Danielle was great at making us feel like the most worthless customers and rudely throwing our plates on the table ! Our appetizer came after all the dishes were served and after we already finished eating! Will never return !

Let’s start with the most important thing, the food. It was good. The amount of food was perfect, the flavor was the unbelievable … I highly recommend this place. Customer service was excellent, our server, William was very nice and courteous, he has excellent customer service skills. I have added a photo of our plates. My wife was so satisfied, next time we visit San Francisco, we are definitely coming back.

Please have in mind, I always rate the places in regards of price and quality.

The service is the only reason this place gets 1 star.

This is the reason for the bad rating.
Appetizier were fried chicken wings. Of course its allready a big question how you want to make good chicken wings when you fry them but on top of that they made it really bad. Very dry chicken wings. It was like eating a bad version of beef jerky.
I had the Bolognese.
The pasta is quite fresh from a local supplier but the sauce was utter sh*t.
You can tell how much the chef in the kitchen has a clue about cooking.
A good sauce is the basic of a good kitchen and this Bolognese sauce was made with a lot of convinience and processed ingridents which made it look and taste like a liquid candish glue…
The guy in the kitchen has no clue about proper cooking.
Sorry the food isnt even worth the cheap prices.
You should look for another place.

Omg ! How long do I have to wait to place an order here. The waitresses are so rude. They don’t even acknowledge you that they’ll be with you in second. If your a female they really don’t wait you. They look you in the eye and keep acting like their so busy putting people’s plates on their tables. It’s 3:30am and it’s busy. I get that, but it doesnt take long at all to say to your customers that I’ll be right with you that way we don’t feel ignored. The manager needs to train these women on how to serve their customers if they want them to come back.

WORST service ever!!! Very unprofessional. The staff was horrible, no sense of urgency or accuracy when taking your order, 4 of the 6 entrees were wrong, & no drink refills. Our server had a bad attitude from the start, and if you go at night there is NO manager on duty & this is probably the reason these employees don’t care about their guests needs. We had an altercation with the staff because of the horrible service & instead of apologizing & making it right they decided to verbally attack us & flip us off. The cops were involved to mediate the situation because the staff was so hostile towards us. We asked the staff for the manager contact info & they refused to give us any information. I will definitely be reaching out to the better business bureau. This is unacceptable, It amazes me how many reviews are on here about the AWFUL service & this place is still in business.
Mind you– I was on vacation & I work in the service industry so I know what 5 star service is.

Horrible horrible disrespectful staff cursing at paying customers and flipping the middle finger to the customers getting the orders wrong waiting over 20mins for a server to approached the table and attitude because she forget to ring in order

This place has the most God awful customer service I have ever seen in my life!!! My girlfriends and I visited here to have a late dinner. There was only one server and one busser working while 4 staff members sat at a table behind us drinking and eating their meals while the server ran her ass off trying to take care of all ¹⁵⁄₂₀ tables in the place. The servers then proceeded to verbally attack my friends. I do not recommend ever going there EVER!!!

Where do I begin… We just left this so called restaurant and disappointment doesn’t even come close. Its a Tuesday night… Busy… One server… Staff sitting down… Drinking and eating… Our order… Completely messed up… Drinks were wrong… Our party of 6 was verbally assaulted… We called the police because off duty staff hovered over our table… We got a little scared… Long story short… Half the restaurant walked out on checks… And metro didn’t do anything. When asked employees for manager and owners number, they refused to give any information. I will be calling the next day to talk to management and reporting to the better business beareau.

I’m conflicted about this place… the hours are convenient and they seem to never be packed. I recently ate here after leaving an event, one of my favorite restaurants was closing so I clearly had no choice. I ordered the King Salmon with rice and fruit on the side. You can choose to have a baked potato. I was very disappointed in the dish-​the side of chopped fruit is a bad combination. The fruit didn’t appear or taste fresh. I think it would be best served in a small bowl. The rice was bland and as if they just added water and rice in a cooker, it takes more than that. The salmon was good though and cooked just right. I ate the salmon and left pieces of rice scattered across fruit on the plate. They’re much better at breakfast, less room for mistakes.
The service was average. My waitress was accommodating and tried very much to please me.
I honestly will only eat here when there is no other option.

While staying at the Hilton for a conference, we were looking for a place within walking distance for dinner after a long day of meetings, and came across Café Mason.
This is a pretty standard-​fare Italian restaurant. We ordered the garlic bread as an appetizer, which was somewhat dry. The pasta dish my husband had was fantastic. I opted for a seafood melt on a croissant, which was a bit greasy. The staff was accommodating, friendly and prompt. The table where we were sat had a major tilt and kept shifting corner to corner. Prices were reasonable.
The neighborhood is not great and there were many homeless/​mentally disabled outside of the restaurant to get past to get inside, but this is no different from anywhere else in this part of downtown.

I really wanted to like Café Mason, since it held such great memories for other friends of mine as a late night spot. But every time I’ve gone, it’s been… well, terrible. Granted, all of my visits have been between midnight and 5am, but I really expected better.
At that hour, there’s never a wait, and the restaurant is never full, but we always sit at the table for a good 10 minutes before a waitress even glances at us. The food is just terrible. My friend is obsessed with the fried zucchini, and the first time I wanted to try it, they were out of zucchini. We ordered the cheese sticks and onion rings instead. The onion rings did that thing where the onion falls out of the batter before you can eat it. The cheese sticks weren’t hot enough so it was like eating a hard stick of breaded cheese instead of being gooey and delicious.
The next time we came, they did have the fried zucchini. I wasn’t impressed. I got a vegetarian quesadilla that didn’t taste at all like a quesadilla. It was kind of disgusting. There was hardly any cheese in it, and the cheese that they used was a smoked mozzarella or something. The smokiness tasted awful with all the spinach they put in the quesadilla. It was on a hard wheat tortilla that tasted more like a flatbread. I could hardly eat it.
Maybe their basic fare like burgers and fries are better? I dunno, the stuff we got was pretty basic. If you can’t even eat it at 4am after several drinks, you know it’s bad.

With all the Super Bowl visitors, we couldn’t figure out why there wasn’t a long line for a table, but we were happy to be seated immediately. We were told their specialty was their variety of eggs benedict dishes, but we both opted for something in the lighter side and ordered the vegetable frittata.
It was delicious, well-​prepared and came with sides. I got fresh fruit and banana bread. The portions were a bit on the small side for the price, but that is increasingly the norm in San Francisco.
Service and coffee were good and plentiful. Butter and jelly on the table reminds me of the coney’s in Detroit.

[Staying at a hotel in Union Square] Woke up hoping to get a decent sized meal but find a quiet place to sit. Passed a couple brightly lit, loud and crowded diners — then gratefully stumbled upon this café.
Great menu and plenty to choose from.

A princípio o lugar me pareceu um pouco confuso: nome francês, comida italiana… Mas logo percebi que se tratava de um restaurante continental.
Pra começar, pedimos buffalo wings. Ótima. Bem feita e com pimenta do jeito que tem que ser. Surpreendeu a cerveja local: Anchor steam. Recomendo!
No prato principal, pedi «lamb with Apple souce. Também surpreendeu!
Ótimo serviço: rápido e bastante cordial.
Fiz a avaliação em português, porque sei que há pessoas lá que falam este idioma.

Meilleur déjeuner à l’ouest de l’Amérique du nord! Choix très varié et l’œuf bénédictine sardou hummmmm: D. Jus d’orange pressé à la main naturellement sucré né peut venir que d’une orange fraîchement cueillie. Jouissance gustative garantie!

Das Café Mason ist ein typisches amerikanisches Fast-​Food-​Frühstückslokal, 24h geöffnet. In der Kategorie schnell und viel ist es eines der besten und man kann diese Buden nur schwer mit europäischen Gaststätten vergleichen. Freundliches Personal, das Frühstück ist — wie üblich — fettig aber gut, kostenloser Refill bei regular coffee. Empfehlenswert sind die Egg Benedikt, die es jedoch im Café de la Presse besser gibt. Alles in allem ganz ok, aber eben nicht mehr.

la meilleure adresse je pense pour déguster un vrai milk shake !!! on vous le sert dans un énorme verre, avec dans le shaker de quoi remplir le verre une seconde fois miam !
la déco est celle d’un vieux dinner américain, avec les banquettes en simili cuir rouge.
