Everything depends on what they are serving up in the two bars. They have basic DJ set-ups. Drinks are pricey but the security guys were nice.

Been coming here at least couple times a year for the past two years, but every experience has been meh. The only redeeming quality they have is their music. Their staff is uncompromising, Chris the managing partner of Bruno’s struggles with customer service, and drinks are incredibly pricey for the atmosphere and neighborhood. Go elsewhere if you have the choice.

Came here for a friends Birthday. Pretty cool place. They had a few different rooms with different music which is always fun. Two different bars also. The owner was super down to earth and really friendly. So was the big guy working the door. We will definitely be making a trip back when we are in the area. I like good customer service.

I came here with my boyfriend to attend one of his friend’s birthday. We got our arm stamped and didn’t have to pay an entrance fee. We passed through a small room which looked liked a private room and then the main room. After we found our party, we sat down and put our jackets on the seats. There was plenty of room and there was another dance room to the far left of the club with different music. It was more mainstream and played more hip-hop, pop, rap music. However, there was a moment when the music stopped because there were some technical difficulties so we moved to the other room only to find out they were playing some lame music. Also, everyone was just standing around on their phones, wtf? I suggest pre-gaming before going in. The drinks here are pricey.

After hitting up a few bars in the Mission, my friends and I ended up at Bruno’s for some dancing. Remember ladies, charging for cover means less cheap creepers! Bruno’s plays Top 40s, so you know you’re going to have fun dancing the night away. None of that jumping-up-and-down to EDM stuff. :P The night we went, we got free shots of Crown from these two ladies that worked for Crown. Sweet! That was definitely helpful because my tolerance level is too high for my paycheck. ;)

Figure I’ve been here more than 20 times, so I guess a review is way overdue. Pros: CHEAP drinks — Well drinks usually $ 6 – 8, and STRONG. Getting drinks is usually pretty fast, too, especially when both rooms are open. Great music — main room with the big bar is usually top 40 with a little old school hip hop. When they open up the side room, it’s a bit more EDM focused. Both rooms are usually tons of fun. Short line — never really waited more than 5 – 10 minutes to get in. Cons: Cover charge is a bit of a bummer — however, I figure it’s basically subsidizing the cheap drinks The space itself is kind of odd, especially when only the one room is open. There’s no clear delineation between bar and dance floor so everything is kind of spilling into each other Bathrooms aren’t the worst, but also not the best Overall: I’m not a clubbing person, not by any means. But Bruno’s is definitely my spot of choice, largely due to the good music and cheap drinks.

The bartender had a bit of an attitude. We had a decent time, but I’m not sure it’s worth coming to more than once.

Stopped by this place during my visit to SF and had lots of fun. It was crowded with dancing and hip hop music. My only complaint is the cover — I didn’t even know charging a cover at clubs was a thing anymore?! Hmm oh well.

Ok I want to preface and say we came and had a fun time but this place is seriously not a place I’d come back to. +Fun old school music. If you’re not into older pop music(think late 90s early 00s), you probably shouldn’t come here. +Fairly inexpensive drinks. Under $ 10 a drink –COVER. Oh man $ 10 cover for a dive bar/club? Ladies also? I didn’t have cash so had to talk to the bouncer and got it dropped to $ 5 a person. The girl working the entrance was super pissed and had to argue with the bouncer over him undercharging us. Overall: wouldn’t come back.

Came here on a Saturday night with a couple friends for another friend’s birthday. He had reserved a couple tables so it was nice having a private area to dance around to. My friends and I decided to wander between the rooms/bars where different music was playing just to mix it up… Venue is a bit mehhh. It’s not top of the notch, but it’s not bad either from what I remember. One thing that made us go «O__O» was the fact that a fight broke out while we were there… and thank god I was with my guy friends to block me from getting pulled in or knocked over in the fight… guys were being pushed, glasses broken. Holy moly it was a sh*t show. But luckily some body guards finally came by and took the perpetrators outside… one of them involved just happened to be a major creeper that was staring earlier – so I’m kind of grateful I didn’t have to deal with this lurker for the rest of the night. Other than that, drinks aren’t the most expensive or the tastiest in the city but we were there to have a good time, so after a couple drinks, Bruno’s got pretty fun! I’d probably go back only if a friend was having his/her get together there… if not, I’d rather go elsewhere to avoid some creepers that seemed to be just standing/staring against the walls or popping up randomly right next to you(no thanks).

I don’t know if we went too early or something(before 10pm), but it was pretty empty. I heard they open a separate dance area after 10pm, but we didn’t end up staying that long. I thought it was just okay. The drinks were okay(and pricey, but then again, where in SF isn’t), and I wasn’t really feeling the music that day either. Overall, it was just okay. I might have to give it another chance next time.

My friends and I went here 10−15−159:15pm’sh for karaōke. One complimentary well drink between 9pm-10pm. I ordered a Lagunitas Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ beer($ 6,priced as expected) afterwards. I sang two songs and Jess was throwing the karaōke gig(I like karaōke and give support to the kj). I had a good time, hopefully they continue the comp well drink on his gigs and/or maybe add drinks specials on that particular evening.

Compared to some of the other reviews, I’ve never seen a fight break out or have something ridiculous happen to myself or my group of friends. Yeah there are always a few dudes trying to hit on the girls in our group a little too much, but that’s gonna happen at any club. Sometimes the music is a little slow and weird to dance to, but overall, it’s a lot of fun here. There’s a cover fee, but it’s worth it

Fight broke out, a lot of creepy old dudes showed up, girl spilled her drink all over my friend, and the bartender gave us attitude for accidentally opening our tab with my credit card but my friend’s ID. Not on purpose, but he got so annoyed. Seedy part of town but the parking lot next door was convenient and the bouncers were nice.

If you’re looking to host a cost effective event — this is the place for you! We hosted a moving away party and the event couldn’t have gone smoother. Chris(the events guy) responded to our initial inquiry within an hour and we secured the venue within a hour and a half. There’s just a minimum to rent the pussycat lounge … Which was sickkkkkk. Private room, private bartender, amazing DJ piped from downstairs. The dj played classics and top 40 — no complaints at all. Drinks were also pretty cheap($ 8 for a Moscow mule i think). Everyone had an amazing time… But the best part were the bouncers and bartender. The bouncers could not have been friendlier or more willing to make sure our party met all of expectations. Jason the bartender and also general manager was INCREDIBLE. efficient, friendly, just everything you want in a bar tender. The only negative– we wanted to keep dancing when the bar closed at 2am! Thank you Bruno’s team for making our last SF party a night to remember. I’ll be back for you!

The review is not based on my experience inside this establishment. We never made it inside. Was attempting to go here last night(October 4, 2014) for a birthday celebration. As our group(two women, and two men) approached the front of the line I notice the security on their headsets. The security then tells my friend that he cannot come in because he has a t-shirt on. Let me describe this t-shirt for you folks, yes it’s a white t-shirt but it’s a freaking v-neck and well fitted. He didn’t have on a trap t-shirt hanging down to his knees. And he had on skinny jeans! The second guy we were with had on a tee as well, but it was grey so I guess that color is less threatening on a black man. As we stand there and waste our time discussing this with security they proceed to let four(yes, I counted) men in with white t-shirts on. One of the guys they let in even had on camo shorts with his oversized white tee. The difference between these four men and my friend… Yup you guessed it, none of them were of the black variety. I could understand if my friend looked like a young thug. Sure, be afraid. Run for the hills. Yet, honestly he is just a black man(on the lighter side of the black spectrum) with tattoos. Apparently too hood for this establishment. I’m too old to deal with such blatant racial profiling because there are other establishments that deserve my money, but I felt like ranting. I even sent the business an email asking that they at least keep their t-shirt rule consistent to avoid being so obvious in their profiling practices.

Minus one star because there is a cover. I am just not a cover loving kind of gal. The crowd is your typical mission crowd that likes to get down and boogie. I allowed two stars because the tunes are great if you just want to dance the night away. They just need to not have it over crowded and turn up the ac!

Not really my usual scene, but I had fun! Bruno’s is small and can get really crowded on a good night so bottle service can be a good option! I went here for my friends’ joint birthday celebration! Street parking can be difficult to find because of the area, but there’s a parking lot behind Bruno’s to save you the trouble! Like a lot of other Unilocalers had mentioned, Bruno’s is pretty ghetto. The area… the crowd… and its atmosphere can be easily described as «ghetto», but it’s the fun ghetto, not scary ghetto: X lol. Drinks, can be expensive at the bar depending on what you get. I got my friend a vodka shot and myself a mixed drink, and it came out to $ 30. The music is also another plus! They play a lot of hip hop, 90’s hits, and some house /EDM! I wouldn’t mind coming back here again!
