The manager, Kenny, offered drinks because my drink was incomplete last time. This time, I got the brown sugar ice milk and the strawberry fruit tea. The drinks were really good this time, but service is a tiny bit slow. I believe the brown sugar ice milk is their signature drink, so go for it! They also had samples, which is quite nice. Overall, a convenient and decent boba place if you’re in the mall or around Powell BART. It could be a little cheaper though. I don’t need a glass bottle every time I go!

Just bought two drinks, one a matcha green milk tea with 0% sweetness and grass jelly. The matcha drink was mostly milk with a hint of green tea flavor and the syrupy grass jelly made it more sweet than I preferred. Yes, it comes in a glass bottle, but I don’t really like paying for a bottle that I have no use for. The taro fruit milk I ordered is a pre-made and the cashier said that sweetness can’t be adjusted. Disappointing. Obviously, I’m ruined by Boba Guys, where I can get this exact drink the way I like it, with no sugar, a real tea flavor, and non-sweetened grass jelly. Cheaper too.

Having tried a couple of their menu offerings by now, I think Bottles Zup is actually a pretty solid place for boba drinks(even though I find their name so silly!) I like that more boba places are popping up around downtown, even though these establishments are always pricier than their equivalents in other neighborhoods. I guess there’s no real way to get around the premium retail space prices. The other day I tried their milk green tea, and was impressed by the fact that it did have a very strong tea flavor. I didn’t ask for any customizations, and the sweetness was actually perfect for me, which is surprising! I generally like things a little less sweet. This was just right. Some drinks are served in the regular tall bottles, and others in the mason jar bottles — I’d check with the cashier if you have a preference. I definitely think the tall ones are nicer looking, plus you get more drink!

Finally got a chance to try this place out! When I went to the one in the Sunset, nobody came out to help me so I just left! DRINK: Thai Milk Tea + Boba(bottle included) PRICE: $ 5.25 Boba texture itself was pretty good. Boba was cooked perfectly to where it’s not hard but not soft enough that it’s all slimy and mushy. Thai milk tea tasted pretty standard. The standard amount of sugar didn’t make the drink too sweet unlike other boba places! You can apparently pay an extra 0.25 for the mason jar. It looks like you may get less milk tea if you’re getting the mason jar? Wish this place was a bit cheaper though but hey, it IS in the San Francisco Westfield Mall.

Never had egg pudding before, and gdarnit Bottle Zup done did it to me. I’m an ADDICT. Their brown sugar with tapioca and egg pudding is the bees knees of boba life. My mom is a fan of the hot ginger tea — please be aware that you must loooove ginger for this because you can smell the zingy ginger the moment it leaves the counter. That thing is potent. You can bring your glass bottles back for a discount on your next drink.

I seen this place on Unilocal and Instagram and I go to school in SF so I wanted to give it a try. I got the peach oolong milk tea with boba, and I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. Made with fresh milk and fresh peach nectar, I enjoyed it thoroughly and I actually ate all the boba! I usually never eat the boba unless it’s like tpumps or half & half. But it tasted so fresh and non artificial, and i love the glass bottle. I use the glass bottle for taking water with me on the go without having to throw away a plastic one. Kudos to you guys! I am a fan!

Bottle Zup has the honor of seeing me at maximum boba devotion. Meaning I decided to «drop by» on my run — a little over 2.5 miles there — only to find out that they had run out of their matcha tea. I was pretty sad and at a loss for what to order, but the guy at the counter recommended their brown sugar iced milk, so I said sure, why not, and got it with boba. Because I was still a little over a mile away from home and didn’t want to walk, I decided to run home while carrying my drink in one hand. Luckily, the drink comes in a sturdy, reusable glass bottle with a cap, which made running while carrying it slightly easier, and also partially justified the steep price of $ 5.25 that I had to pay. In total, I ran a little over 3.5 miles and paid $ 5.25 all for this bottle of boba. The drink itself was pretty good. I liked the consistency of their boba, not too hard, not too soft, nice and chewy. The drink itself was very sweet and tasted exactly like what it was — brown sugar in milk — but was good nevertheless, although I don’t have much experience with brown sugar milk/milk teas so I don’t have much to compare it to. I’ll definitely be back with my reusable bottle to try to get that 10% off and try their matcha tea(and hopefully they’ll be in stock!)

Been loving this place since they opened. I love the taro milk tea that’s made with real taro chunks. They are a bit pricey though. The price adds up when i get soy milk($.50 extra) and boba/jelly as well(another $.50). The 10% discount when I bring the bottle back doesn’t really help lower the cost for me. The price is still over $ 5 for a relatively small size, the bottle isn’t huge… However, even with my complaints of it’s price, I still come back. The place is convenient, and those real taro chunks are just beckoning me back.

What intrigued me about this place the most was the glass bottles. Similar concept to Plentea(if you’ve ever been) except the caps to these bottles are metal rather then the plastic ones you get at Pleatea so it’s totally reusable! If you check in or like their post on Instagram, you get 15%. I ordered a strawberry green tea with lychee jelly while my friend ordered peach oolong tea. It honestly was quite tasteless even with the strawberry syrup inside. Wasn’t the biggest fan, but if you’re at the mall and you’re craving boba, I guess this place would be really convenient.

I was on my way to meet someone around the corner and I saw this stand and I was like, «so this is the boba place everyone has been talking about!» So after I did my business, I wanted to head over to the stand and buy a few drinks for my boyfriend and I. At first, I didn’t really know what to expect but I was low key comparing it to plentea because they have the same glass bottles. I was looking at the menu and it’s down near the bottom of the stand if you come to this location, so you have to tilt your head down if you’re pretty tall. I saw that they had a caramel ice milk and so I got that to compare to plentea. For my boyfriend’s drink, I asked the batista what she recommended and she said that she really loved honeydew teas, so I went with her suggestion because at first, I was looking for a taro milk tea since my boyfriend is in love with taro, but they didn’t have it unfortunately. For a caramel ice milk with no boba and a honeydew milk tea w/boba, my total came out to $ 11, so $ 5.50 per bottle if I did my math correctly. I feel that a majority of the money goes towards the bottles because when I pay a little over $ 5 – 7 dollars for boba, it’s usually a larger size. Comparing it to plentea, the drinks over there are cheaper by like $ 0.50-$ 1.00 I believe. The bottles are a decent size, but they’re pretty small imo. When I tried my caramel ice milk, I didn’t even taste the caramel. It was just mostly milk I tasted with the slightest bit of ice. When I gave my boyfriend his drink, he really liked it. It had a strong flavor of tea and the honeydew wasn’t overpowering. The only thing is, the boba was a little hard. So 1 star for the recomendation, 1 star for the good honeydew milk tea, and 1 star for the sweet workers that work there. I’ll definitely have to try another drink when I come back, but as of right now, not so sure how I feel about this place. It’s pretty average imo. I’ll probably try the other location on clement because I live kinda far from this location.

I’ve been on a boba tea kick and decided to check out Bottle Zup last Monday, May 2nd around 1:45pm. It wasn’t too hard to find thanks to a Unilocal review I read. Just go to the bottom floor on the Nordstrom side of the mall. It’s closer to the BART entrance. I ended up getting an Oolong Tea, 0% sweet($ 5.25), add Boba(+$ 0.50). I had asked for grass jelly too, but they didn’t put it in my tea. Not a big deal as I don’t think I got charged for it. The drink had a nice strong tea flavor. Great for me, as I hate it when you can barely taste the tea. The boba was soft with a nice chew. I found it odd that the cashier was trying to make me order my tea with a some sweetness. I’m a black coffee drinker, so I don’t really like my tea milky or sweet. She kept insisting that their tea isn’t very sweet, so I should order it with some sugar. Glad I stuck to my guns as the sweetness from the boba was enough for me. She did inform me if I checked in on Facebook or Instagram, I’d get 15% off, so that was cool. I noted that they forgot my grass jelly on my Instagram post, so she offered to give me a free drink the next time I stopped by. Great teas. I look forward to coming back and trying their grass jelly as it’s made in house. I will be back!

Really convenient spot for boba! Right in the SF Westfield, and pretty close to the Bart/Muni underground exit, this spot is great for a quick boba fix. You pay a bit more upfront for the bottle, but they do encourage you to reuse it for a discount. Honestly, not sure how many customers actually do this, but it’s cool to get your boba in a glass bottle. I tried the blueberry milk tea which was made with real milk(not creamer). The taste was pretty balanced with fruit and tea. The drink was not overly sweet which was great as well. Overall, I’d definitely be back to try some more of their drinks!

I would drink this everyday if that didn’t lead to diabetes. I like all the flavors they offer. I decided to try the blueberry fruit milk for my first Bottle Zup try. It was good. The drinks are expensive and the serving is not huge.

Went here yesterday since I was in the area and had this bookmarked. It’s super easy to find once you enter into the mall and go downstairs. It’s a pretty big food booth by Abercrombie and Fitch. Note — it is not with the other food vendors. It was around 4:00PM but there was no line. There were 3 people working and they were all very nice. FYI — you get a 15% if you check i on FB on follow them on instagram and also beware that internet down in the basement is a crapshoot. They have a good variety of drinks and toppings given the space and location. They make their own coffee jelly, egg pudding, and grass jelly. You can also decide on the sugar level as well. And of course the glass bottle which is nicer than Plentea’s I think So I got a green tea with coffee jelly. I like that they put a little piece of mint in the drink but the drink wasnt super impressive or stood out. It wasn’t bitter but wasn’t great. The coffee jelly was lacking in coffee flavor honestly but wasn’t overly sweet which is greatly appreciated. Might be back to try the matcha.

Yay milk tea while I can shop! I got the brown ice milk drink with caramel. The guy who helped us was very nice and informative. He asked me if I wanted to add any toppings, I asked him if they had taro pudding, but nope they don’t. Then he said we can get half and half toppings. Wait what?!? He recommended coffee pudding and so I got half coffee pudding and grass jelly. He’s right! The coffee pudding in the drink was yummy! The drink wasn’t too sweet and I liked it. I’m not really into caramel, but I didn’t really taste it, it’s very light. I guess the price is just cause of the bottle too. almost $ 6! If I’m comparing this place to Plentea, sorry but I think Plentea is better. Minus half star for no taro pudding, and minus half star again cause way too much foam at the top!

I had been to the Westfield mall and needed a liquid refreshment before heading on to the Bart train. My friend suggested this new Boba place and I wanted to check it out. The place is a really small kiosk but they had plenty of choices of drinks. I had ordered drink with the Brown Sugar milk tea with Coffee jelly. The bottle is the size of a 10−12oz., and you get to keep the bottle. When you return the bottle on the next visit, you get a 10% discount upon bringing the bottle. The drink was refreshing and the coffee jelly was like a pudding/tapioca texture but added the right sweetness to drink. I am a fan of this place and hope for one closer to the East Bay.

Why did it take me so long to find this place omg –_– we walked around the mall so many times, and it turns out we were on the other side of the food court LOL. Anyway, I was stoked to finally find this stand! It’s near Pacsun and right across from the bottom floor of the Abercrombie & Fitch. Once you get close, you really can’t miss the giant menu board. I got the oolong milk tea with boba, and it came out to be like $ 6! You can keep the glass bottle, but it’s smaller than Plentea’s bottle, and you can keep the bottle there too. Also, at Plentea, you get $ 1 off your drink if you bring the bottle back, but I’m not sure if they do that here as well. I found Bottle Zup to be almost identical to Plentea but more expensive. The drink was really good though! Perfectly sweet and great oolong flavor, just how I like it. I’m not sure if I would come back though, just bc there are so many other boba places in SF.

After bookmarking the Inner Richmond location Unilocal page, I happened to take a walk around Westfield and lo and behold, a Bottle Zup stand appeared next to the BART/MUNI entrance! *walks straight to the cashier to order* I’m a sucker for both milk tea and bottles, so this spot was right up my alley. Note that while the bottles here are smaller than the Plentea ones, they actually provide a tight seal AND the bottom is thick. Anyway, my matcha milk tea(~$ 5 or so) was alright. However, at 50% sweetness, the drink stilll tasted pretty damn sweet, almost to the point where the cavern in my mouth felt sticky. Also, they skimped out on the ice, which I remember requesting 100% for. This place is just okay. If you’re a boba lover, in Union Square, and want to walk a bit towards Kearny Street, there are quite a few other options to choose from.

**Review #165!!** Okay, now getting to the review. Sorry, had to put that. The BF and I were in SF on Saturday for the Cherry Blossom Festival and once we were done there we decided to walk around Union Square. Well, our thing is we always get milk tea while visiting SF since there are some good ones here. I was looking on Unilocal and found this place! I’m a sucker for those glass jars, and when I saw that this place had them, without any extra cost, plus this place is new, we just had to go lol. This is one of the reasons why I took off half a star. It took us forever to find this place! It’s not their, Bottle Zup’s, fault, but the mall’s fault, they haven’t added Bottle Zup to their directory so you follow GPS, and it leads right to the mall, but then that’s it; you’re on your own to find it, I’m serious. If it wasn’t for wonderful Unilocalers to say where it’s located by, you would be probably going crazy looking for this place like I was. So once again, it is located downstairs, as in you walk into the mall, Abercrombie is on your right side, you take the escalator down to the food court and you should see this place if you’re scanning the area. It will be on your left side. You can’t miss the huge menu sign lol. This is why I took off the other half the star. The service was kinda slow, since there was just two girls making about six drinks. But even while watching them, they weren’t moving as fast, like I know it’s not good to rush, but not everything needs to be measured«super perfectly» either. So two halves, make a whole, goodbye to a star. The guy who took our order was nice. He was cool. Now getting to my drink. I got the Matcha milk tea. I was going to get just a tea, but I was in the mood for some milk. I like how they let you mix it up. Hence the name, get it? [haha] I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t super sweet. Most of the time I would want to taste matcha a lot, but this time it was just enough. I also got it with light ice too. My BF got the Thai milk tea. It was cool when you shake up the drinks; it reminds me of a lava lamp. That one was good too. It made me happy. So for two drinks I believe the total was $ 10.32? You don’t pay for the glass jar, but the price of it is probably in the price for the drink, so that’s probably why most of the drinks is close to and over $ 5. But it’s a big jar, so I say it’s worth it. This place is my go to now for milk tea when I’m SF. But I’ll still be trying other places too. When I’m in Union Square, for sure I’ll be back here.

Cute boba stand located conveniently on the bottom floor next to Abercrombie and the entry to Bart. Serves their drinks in nice glass bottles. This place makes all their tea fresh, no powder, and it shows in how they present their drinks, unshaken so you can see that the tea and milk are separate before you shake the bottle. They are also caffeine free friendly. The cashier highly recommended their sea salt flavored milk with coffee jelly to me so I decided to try that. It actually tasted very similar to the fresh milk in sharetea, which is actually the drink I regularly order there. The coffee jelly paired very nicely with it, so I’m glad I took the cashiers advice. It is on the sweeter side, so you may want to ask for less sugar in yours. I’m a huge boba snob, but I can say bottle zup is probably one of the better spots in the area. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is on the pricier side. Drinks are on average over $ 5, but I guess if you factor in the glass bottle they give you, maybe it’s not too bad. But I will say that if you want a cheaper alternative to the flavored milk, you can get the fresh milk at sharetea.

Time: 2:47pm/67°F partly cloudy Purpose: Couple of messages came in about the opening. I knew that already, but was told no heavy hitters review place yet. Meaning no one with 500+ reviews. I obliged went at my convience and pace. Set-up: Located on the ground level with connection walkway to Bart/Muni. Counter is a rectangular 6ftx15ft chest high custom made. Its mostly made up of fridge and compress dark wood. A walk around reveal only menu and bottled Pierre sparkling water in a mostly empty fridge with no other offerings. Oversize large menu board facing Bart entrance as well as main walkway. Rolling bakery rack with bottles ready to go follow by containers of assorted toppings. It’s more than a alright location, as some don’t even get the exposure of BZ. Staff: Guy and girl about late 20s each held their own position. Girl does front cashier order taking while the guy does prep/production work. Didn’t deal with dude only girl. She was mild manner with enthusiasm to help out with menu should menu questions arise. When it was my turn, I step up and mention person name that send me here. Later, I learn I’m grandfather in for life with a special deal. She didn’t hesitate went ahead with my order. Seem to be a multitasked, very fluid and efficient with other customers too. Easy no fuss transaction as simple as 1−2−3, and I’m on my way. Cleanliness: Grade A, in good standing with safeserve certificate seen. All equipment are functional and new. Counter wipe down daily showing no of a spill. All around clean is seen no matter weekday or weekend. Eats/Drinks: Caramel iced milk w/boba in company signature bottle(OTH). I didn’t feel for any heavily sugar loaded drink at the time. This drink was really cold condensation building up on exterior. Upon shaking bottle, I was surprised to learn how much boba they’ve given me. Like a third of bottle size, not kidding around just look at picture. It tasted not too sweet with hints of caramel tasted. Boba was perfect not over, or undercook with soft chewy glistering texture. Nothing is better than iced cold whole milk from a bottle. All I need is chocolate chip cookies and I’m good. Main Features: Bottled/mug drinks of hot and cold with various versions. Products/Services: Menu picture posted. 10% off with bottle visits, unlimited samples, hot/cold available, MYOD/customized, toppings extra($.50), yes to milk/no to milk, non tea, coffee, cash only, plastic welcome(no minimum). Punch Lines: Modest price, mall setting, clean, friendly service, no wait time, better than average, pleasing taste, well-prepared, zippy service, can’t go wrong, worth the wait, take out of town buddies, unpretentious, satisfaction. Tradeoffs: Price of bottle/mug is included in drink purchase. With each return of BYOB you’ll get 10% off. So, depending on what you buy, the average price is $ 4.75. Within 4 – 5 visit you’ve pay off the glass bottle/mug price. Final Thoughts: BYOB for a discount sounds like a terrific deal, but how many people will be chugging a glass bottle all day? Discount only applies to BZ and no other companies. Mall workers will benefit from this deal. They can leave bottle at work using it, only when needed. They get 10% on top of BYOB for a whopping 20% total. Not saying it’s a bad place, but there should be other ways of dealing with efficiency, and still qualify for discount.

To show how much I love Bottle Zup being in the mall, here is a testament of my love In the tune of Trey Songz Bottoms Up: Bottle Zup, Bottle Zup Aye what’s in ya cup Got a couple bottles But a couple ain’t enough Bottle Zup Bottle Zup Throw ya hands up Tell mall security We bout to tear this shop up In addition to their cute glass bottles, bottle Zup has such a refreshing taste to it. I ordered the brown sugar milk and a peach mango oolong. The brown sugar ice milk is a little on the milky side, but still a different boba flavor. And the oolong is not as strong as many(which is a plus) but the flavor of the tea really stands out. For just opening in the mall recently, they are really fast and really pay attention to flavor! It is about 6 dollars per drink, but it is worth the splurge once in a while! Definitely can’t wait to come back again and maybe try the smoothies this time around!

Inside the Westfield Mall, near the Bart entrance/exit, near Abercrombie, on the Panda Express side of the food court. For $ 5+, you get a milk tea and your own little mug to keep. 10% off the next time you order and bring your mug back. Not a terrible price for good boba tea(comparable price to Boba Guys). Some unique flavors. Seems to be great quality tea. Not over-sweetened like the crap at Quickly. Friendly service. Craving another one now!

I’m so excited that they finally have a boba spot in the mall! This is where my money is going instead of Starbucks now! I was talking to the owner Jacky & he was extremely helpful, friendly, & answered all the questions I had. He & the rest of the staff gave me suggestions to what to order as well! While chatting with the owner he told me NONE of their drinks(except for matcha) is made with powder. All the teas are 100% made fresh. This place screams quality! Jacky also mentioned that they will start adding snacks to their menu very soon!(I.E popcorn chicken, egg puffs, French fries) I tried the oolong sea salt creama & it had the perfect balance of sweetness & tea to it. I was told The brown sugar milk tea is their signature drink! Definitely going to try that next time along with the matcha milk tea as well! This place also are very eco friendly! Instead of a plastic cup you can throw away, they give you a glass bottle that you can reuse! & if you bring the back the bottle next time, you will get 10% off your next purchase.
