We hired Carrie as our day-of wedding coordinator and we are so happy that we got to work with her! She started working with us a few months leading up to the event and was incredibly generous with her time and talent. Carrie is incredibly warm, creative, and passionate. She brings these attributes to the work she does which creates a beautiful atmosphere. We didn’t have much of a vision for our big day but we were immediately drawn to Carrie’s style and thought that it would fit well with our venue, the Mission San Francisco Solano in Sonoma, CA. We decided to have the ceremony and reception in the courtyard of the mission, which meant that there was a lot of work to do in order to set up and break down the event. Working within the time constraints, Carrie was able to plan an execute a beautiful set up. The day before the wedding temperatures were close to 100 degrees, which we realized would be too hot for guests(and ourselves) to feel comfortable during the ceremony. Very last minute, we came up with a plan to move things around. Carrie wasn’t fazed at all with the last-minute changes and things went well. The weather turned out to be a lot cooler and windier the day of, which was surprising and auspicious. Things were flying off tables, Carrie stayed calm and took care of it! Since we had a limited budget and a smaller wedding, we weren’t able to hire Carrie to do the 100% of the wedding planning, but I would say that she did about 90% of it! We found our own vendors and Carrie coached us through how many tables, chairs, etc., we needed to rent, called me and sent me emails with pertinent information, and gently reminded me to get things done. I felt more like I was working with a good friend than working on a business transaction. Often during the planning process I would feel pretty overwhelmed and lackadaisical about working on anything having to do with my wedding. It’s as if Carrie could sense that I was getting overwhelmed and would email or text me to schedule a call for later that week. She met with me three times(!) in person at the venue to hash out details. I admire her dedication and great design aesthetic. Not only did we enjoy working with Carrie, our vendors all had a lot of praise for her, as well. She was helpful to everybody, took charge, and made sure that the catering staff had everything they needed and that the venue staff had nothing to worry about. We didn’t lift a finger as the bride and groom on our big day and didn’t have to field any questions, she made sure that everything was well organized and easy! When we throw another party, we will definitely be asking Carrie to help us again! I can’t recommend her enough!
