It is a nightmare to deal with a car accident. This office added a piece to that nightmare. They will not see you unless you sign their agreement (later I find out that agreement is to guarantee the doctor to get a bigger piece of the settlement, DO NOT SIGN!). Well, they drop the agreement, but sent me a registration form and demanded to put the auto claim # on it. Of course, you have to sign it. The reason… this is funny. ‘Your health insurance will not pay the bill because this is caused by the car accident. We need the claim #.’ THAT IS A LIE! They get more from the auto insurance instead of your health insurance.

I’m writing this review because to not do so would be a huge disservice to anyone out there suffering — like myself — from spinal cord injury or low back pain. Honestly I he’s so damn good I’ve been having selfish ideas about skipping a review so I can keep him to myself. I’m better than that = you’re welcome.
He’s an MD, so unlike many other talented, wonderful practitioners out there, he is likely covered via a regular health insurance copay. The treatments are not for the squeamish — they are intense and can be intensely (but briefly) painful.
However, I’ve had multiple cortisone shots in my lower spine — they are fairly invasive as you have to be sedated and take at least a day off — and his treatments are without a doubt MORE effective.
Dr. Lau has honestly been a revelation for me… his method is absolutely the way to go — skip the expensive, invasive shots.
If you’re having chronic pain, go see this wonderful, talented healer asap.

Awwsome, patience, open, listener, not a rushing doctor. Take time to care for patients. Knowledgeable, helpful, descriptive. Appointment booked up to yay way but. Nothing beats having a good, funny, doctor who will help cure your pain.

Dr. Lau took time out of his Saturday – his office was closed and nobody but he was there – to perform emergency testing on me. It was a beautiful, sunny day – one of the few that goes about 70 degrees in San Francisco. Yet, he kindly, patiently, and thoroughly carried out the test. Then, unlike so many other diagnostics offices that are slow providing the results, Dr. Lau’s office had my results to my doctor by Monday morning. I would highly recommend Dr. Lau.

Dr. Lau is a wonderful doctor. He is patient, listens well, gives you plenty of time to ask questions and explains thoroughly and understandably. He is also one of the nicest and most professional people I’ve met in the medical profession. He won’t subject you to unnecessary treatment.
Dr. Lau treated my neck and hamstring with Trigger Point Needling and the result was fantastic. I had extreme tightness on the left side of my neck to the point of not being able to fully turn my head. After one treatment the tightness was immediately released and I had almost 100% mobility. The same for my hamstring. The treatment is a little painful but tolerable and doesn’t last long. Dr. Lau is gentle and expert with the needle. Unlike accupuncuture, this treatment is permanent for most people.
