I love this neighborhood salon! With only one nail service table, and one hair stylist, it’s a very unique experience! Both owners are the friendliest people and it’s fun to hear their stories. They seem have to have loyal weekly customers, which is always a great sign. Ha does an amazing job with my nails! I would literally not go anywhere else.

Jeannie and Ha are both wonderful hosts who really make you feel like you are visiting them in one of their homes. I was lucky to squeeze in for a manicure/​pedicure appointment while visiting San Francisco. You can tell Ha is usually booked fully with regular clients, so I was very happy to get in on such late notice. The manicure and pedicure were both great. It was $ 40 for both.
I would visit again! 4 out of 5 only because they don’t have massage chairs. Everything else is perfect!

I’ve never ever had my nails done but have regularly been to Bella Tu to have Jeanie cut my hair. She’s the best in SF.
Ha is so terrific I may have to give in and have her do something to my nails.

I already left review and I really want to write another one.
I am sorry, but I just couldn’t walk through and ignore the review that «strfrm y» wrote as it is so unfair to leave review like that for this business.
Everybody that knows Ha do not need it read it, as they know that she offers the best service in the city, that’s the reason she has most of her customers for 20 years. As I mentioned I would not let anyone to take care of my feet and hands. Besides that Ha is very kind and positive person and I’ve never heard even one bad/​negative word coming out of her mouth. That review is total lie and a simple act of jealousy. We love you Ha and thank you for your business!

Worst nail salon ever. She does an awful job. Doesn’t clean properly, doesn’t cut cuticles at all. nail paint wears out the very next day.
Went the very first time and she started bitching about her customers :-(

This place is quiet and relaxing, my nails look great! Ha is very friendly and nice.
However, the massage is brief and the cost of a mani/​pedi is more expensive compared to the many other nail salons in the area but I will still go back because Ha does a wonderful job!

Ha is simply the best! She takes time with her every client that she takes one at the time. And I love the fact that I’m the only one in the salon so I don’t have to feel bad every time I have to answer my phone or I can simply relax to soothing classical music.
She doesn’t except credit cards so come prepared.

Ha is awesome. I’ve been going to HA for a long time now and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my nails. She’s a one woman operation, so book an appointment with her ahead of time. She has many loyal customers who keep her very busy.
The Salon is comfortable and beautiful all in one. Ha likes to rearrange the shop once in a while so don’t get too comfortable with the set up.
If you want someone who knows nails, she’s your woman.

I have to agree with a previous review which stated that Bella Tu is the best nail salon in San Francisco – However, it also houses one of the most talented hair stylist I’ve ever known… the fabulous Flora McDonald! Flora has years of experience and knows just what to do for all ages, styles, face shapes, etc. She is an absolute perfectionist and you will never leave the salon disappointed. In addition to her impressive work, reasonable prices, and accommodating schedule– her fun personality, and the casual atmosphere of the salon always make for an enjoyable time spent!

I love this place. $ 12 for a manicure, $ 14 for a french manicure. $ 25 for a mani/​pedi. A great deal for the quality. She (Ha) is super clean — won’t get any infections here. She’s also super nice. Expect to see her daughter hanging out in the back. Also, since Ha is alone, she may have to interupt your session to answer the phone.
