Bayshore Builders

Chris has done several projects on my 1912 home in the Richmond district. He simply is my go-​to contractor from now on. He is honest, courteous and (most importantly) very skilled. He’s remodeled rooms, installed new doors and windows, and re-​modeled a bathroom for me. He stands by his work and has occasionally come by to fix this and that gratis when things aren’t absolutely perfect. My favorite thing about his work is that he cleans up his work area spotlessly at the end of every day. It’s usually cleaner than the rest of my house!!!

I’ve used Bayshore Builders for a few house projects including installing crown molding, building custom shelves, and rebuilding a partially rotten deck. The owner, Chris, and team do a great job. They are perfectionists, clean, and punctual. Chris even had some great ideas for some detail features that we didn’t even think of. Chris did a great job estimating the cost and had no problem picking up the materials we chose from Lowe’s. I would absolutely use them again for any sort of carpentry project.

Bayshore Builders completed a project at my home last week, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work.
To back up a bit, when Chris came to look at the work, he made suggestions that improved the outcome, simplified his work and reduced the budget. His estimate was reasonable, especially now that I see the quality of his work.
A couple aspects of the job were open-​ended (for example, what to do about an old staircase) depending on what Chris and David found once they started work. As it turned out, the scope of work expanded. The budget modification was modest and appropriate.
I trust them. I guess that’s the bottom line.

We’re really big fans of Bayshore Builders. Chris and Dave handled our broad set of home projects better than I could have imagined. I’ll admit it: I was anticipating a long, drawn-​out mess getting our home fixed up after hearing horror stories from friends and co-​workers about contractors in San Francisco. Chris and Dave proved them all wrong from first meeting.
They listened carefully to our project list — including installing a skylight, replacing and painting a deck, rewiring the old electrical system, and creating a custom cat litter box closet — and always suggested a way to make things work/​look better. The work started on time, finished on time, and took into careful consideration my (too numerous?) questions and modifications.
And yes, we now have a hidden cabinet for the cats to use. No smell, no mess. With a sliding drawer for the litter box! Does it get any better than that? My wife and I highly recommend Bayshore Builders to anyone looking for a smart, supportive, and creative crew willing to get the job done right.

I would recommend Chris and Bayshore Builders without reservation. From the bid, which was impeccably detailed and left nothing in question, to the execution of the job, which was exceptionally well crafted by Chris, Dave and all of his subs, there was nothing that I would rate less than 5 star!
Whenever there were change orders (as were to be expected in a project of this size), Chris provided me with multiple alternatives and gave me the pros and cons of each so I could make an informed decision.
