Came for a bowl of soup, since it was a cold day. The soupe du jour was pee soup. Tasteless and not hot. Service was poor. Only one server for the whole place. Moreover, the server mistreated a couple of clients in front of us, even though she wasn’t especially mean to us. Will never come back for sure.

Today was the 5th time I came to this restaurant to have their famous Bourride Provençal(fish stew). I was dreaming of having it, but the dream turned into a nightmare. It was awful! It’s supposed to be made in a lobster broth, but that wasn’t present. It was tasteless and the mussels were hard and with a bad smell(I hope I won’t get sick). Obviously the chef wasn’t in tonight. There was no presentation, just a glob of liquid and seafood. The table beside me received a salmon that was overcooked. They were kind enough to take the Bourride off the bill, but that wasn’t the point. Am I going to try it again? I don’t know. So beware, make sure the chef is in when you decide to go to this restaurant.

Took my mama here for our xmas eve dinner. The food was soo good! The service was excellent! It wasn’t loud and chaotic like other of the restaurants we’ve been to in the past. It’s a teeny tiny little hole in the wall place, but don’t let that scare you away. It’s almost like dining in Paris! I’ll be back, for sure!

Mmmm, mussels provencal, and French fries… This small neighborhood café prepares French delights plus beautiful breakfast dishes and salads to enjoy indoors or at outdoor tables. The cozy dining room with antique wall clocks is utterly charming. Meals are served by a decidedly friendly hostess, so you leave there happy as well as satisfied.

We came here after the Run 10 Feed 10 in SF. Food was absolutely DDDEELLIISSHHH!!! I had the French toast… The coffee is good and SUPERSTRONG! Everyone in my group truly enjoyed our food. They give u a lot of food too. Its a bit pricey but the food is so good it’s worth it, and they give u great sized portions so it’s totally justified. Its such a quaint little spot. The staff is SUPER friendly. We sat inside right by the door. There are tables outside, but we were cold. I really loved this place. I want to go back that frenh toast was so damn good!

We stumbled upon Baker Street Bistro and it was a great find. We had 4 adults and 2 kids, and the restaurant’s ambiance was welcoming to all. There were outside and inside seating areas. Our server was friendly without being overbearing and made us, including the kids, feel comfortable. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everyone enjoyed what they had. I got the seafood stew, and every element in the stew was cooked just right. Usually in a seafood stew or soup, there is at least one element that will be over cooked, but everything tasted fresh and delicious. I tried a bit of the French fries, and they stayed crunchy even after a while. The coffee was good too.

Came here for my mother’s birthday on a Sunday with a reservation at 5:30. Upon arrival, we had a choice to sit either indoors or out. And we chose out because the weather was absolutely perfect and it made our dining atmosphere that much more special. Between 5:30 and I believe 6 or 7, they offer a prix fixe dinner. I wanted to give my family the option of ordering that as well as other main dishes from the menu. Our waitress was great and she had a very appealing French accent that made our experience even more memorable. She gave us menus and answered any questions we had. We ended up ordering a lot. My sister and father both got the prix fixe dinners, which included tomato-basil soup, a salad, pork loin with mashed potatoes as an entrée, and fresh fruit for dessert. My sister wanted to try the French onion soup, so we ordered that as well. My mother and I wanted to try something different. So we ordered mussels and escargot for appetizers. My mother ordered a beef stew as an entrée and I chose the duck confit. Our waitress offered us a timely manner as to how our food would be served. She brought things out so that everyone would be eating their entrees at the same time. She was great. Our family loved her service. I wish I got her name. She first brought out the mussels and escargot. These mussels were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce it was cooked in was addicting. It was served with bread and pommes frites(aka french fries). The escargot melts in your mouth. It has a rich, buttery sauce and made me forget I was eating snails. Then the soups came out. Two tomato-basils and a French onion. It came out piping hot. And everyone enjoyed it. Then our entrees came. And by then we were so full. I was really excited to try my entrée though, so I pushed through. My duck confit was rich and delicious. It was tender and juicy on the inside and had a crunchy skin. My mother’s beef stew was tender and rich. My sister and father’s food was juicy and also cooked perfectly. We were in French heaven. Although we were stuffed, we decided to order crème brûlée to end our night as well as the prix fixe fresh fruit dessert. And it was perfect. The overall bill ended up being a little over $ 200 but was well worth it. We also got a bottle of red wine. A helpful tip? Come early to find good parking. The residents here are not very forgiving. One of them tried to tow a car while we were having dinner and he was kind enough to ask around before he called. Good luck. And enjoy!

Went here last night with a friend, and I guess it was okay? It was very French, and by very French I mean that the servers will pretty much ignore your existence, even when you are trying really hard to flag them down, possibly because they are conducting an elaborate experiment on the Doppler effect and want to know what your voice sounds like as they pass by you and keep right on going. Anyway. I had the boeuf bourguignon and my friend had the steak tartare. My stew was good, but it didn’t really surpass the label of plain old beef stew. My friend was not particularly effusive about the tartare. We split the profiteroles for dessert, which were – again – nice but nothing special. It was our second choice because they were out of crème brûlée. Actually, they were out of quite a few things, so perhaps our experience suffered from being there later on a Thursday night. Still, I’ve had much, much better French food in the Bay Area.

This place is a super cute weekend brunch spot, and the best part was that there was absolutely no wait :) The staff was extremely sweet and friendly, and served us our food rather quickly. We ordered the benedict and the steak & eggs which were both pretty good, but on the downside the potatoes on the side were kinda cold. Usually the roasted potatoes are my favorite part of my brunch meal so I was a bit disappointed. But other than that, the place is a really nice quaint spot and I would give it another shot!

Lovely little spot. We just finished a short hike in the Presidio Park when we decided to go for lunch and then come back to enjoy the park(it was a lovely sunny day, so we had no intentions on going back home just yet). Parking was very easy. Close to the park. Delicious food. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the great and friendly service! Was a perfect spot for a perfect day. I wish it was sunny every day! Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

Awesome brunch dishes! The Croque Madame is great! We also liked their Eggs Florentine. Their eggs cooked just the way we wanted(we had issues with Bill’s Café at Pleasanton last week). Cinnamon French Toast is great! Love the yogurt sauce and fresh fruits. Yummy French Fries! Coffee and Mocha great! Pretty pricey food, but all worth it!!!

We all know that brunch in Saturday or Sunday in SF can be a complete nightmare. Long waits, crowded spaces, disappointing food… Well, none of that stuff is an issue at Baker Street Bistro — in fact, I found it to be quite the opposite, and was completely smitten with this adorable little eatery. Patina-ed and cozy, Baker Street Bistro has a very European air amplified by the charming and very French host/server. The seating spills into a lovely little section on the sidewalk, and large windows keep the indoor space well-lit and airy. The menu reads like a brunch/French hybrid — plenty of Benedicts, Croque Madame, a charcuterie plate and eggs every which way. Not to be missed? Their refreshing mimosas and super-strong black coffee. I’d happily brunch here again, and in fact would’t miss coming back for dinner, either. Baker Street Bistro looks like it’s been here for 100 years easily, and I mean that in the best way possible — it’s absolutely charming!

I just had dinner here with a friend and it wasn’t too busy which was nice. We had the duck confit and chicken. Both were moist and the sauces they came with were great. The mashed potatoes with the chicken was ok. The brunch menu looks really good and hope to try it sometime!

Looking for a brunch spot after a hike in the presidio and ended up here at this cute little bistro. Service is friendly, though was hard to grab their attention when we were ready to get the bill. Tried the French toast and the Canadian ham benedict. Both were good and hit the spot since I was kind of starving. I could’ve done without the coulis with the French toast but it definitely added to the visual presentation. Sitting outside with a cup of latte and good company made for the perfect end to our hike.

8÷1÷15: I think that our infatuation with this place is over. Still solid food, but I don’t think it’s anything special anymore. 1. Fresh Squeezed Limonade $ 3.5: One of the better lemonades(or lime-aid?) I’ve had. Very intense flavor and plenty of kick. Not too sweet and super tangy. Perfect. 9⁄10 2. Sandwich de Baguette $ 10: Kinda small really. Decent length, but it’s less than 2in wide. Standard grocery store ham. Cheese was artisan though. Greens salad was okay. 5⁄10 3. Oeufs Baker Street Bistro $ 14.5: I wouldn’t make this my restaurant’s signature dish for sure. The eggs benedict is pretty standard. The poached eggs themselves were good with correctly running yolks. But really not a fan of the tomato sauce. I applaud them for trying to be unique, but I would work on this one more. I suppose there’s potential, but to me this is not much better than pouring canned spaghetti sauce on your eggs. Also, the seasoned potatoes it comes with are soggy and wet – left most of it. 4⁄10 Good brunch, but not worth a special trip or anything. 3⁄5 #french #breakfast #brunch #lemonade #eggsbenedict

Great spot for brunch. I walked in by myself and around 1:30 pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. The hostess was very organized and attentive. She even helping me clean up my clothes when she saw I had accidentally spilled some syrup. I got the Pain Perdu(french toast) and it was great, just sweet enough. I loved the small café atmosphere and would like to come back sometime for the Prix Fixe dinner.

Breakfast Review Decent French spot that offers indoor and outdoor seating. They have a nice amount of options and after a few minutes of hesitation I went for the Salmon with Eggs Benedict, good tasting dish. Everyone in our group of 5 was happy with their food and service.

We were walking out of the Presidio looking for a place to eat for lunch when I saw that I had bookmarked this place on Unilocal. There were 2 sets of doors and there was no sign so it wasn’t clear which one to go in from. When we walked in, we asked for a table of 4 and the only server there said she would get a table for us shortly and asked us to wait outside. What was supposed to be a short wait ended up being over 15 minutes. By that time, I was starving so I prayed that this place was going to be worth the wait. Once we got seated, we realized they were serving brunch. I’m not a huge fan of brunch so my choices of food was limited. We were ready to order, but since there was only one server, it took forever for her to make it to our table. Although we flagged her down, she still didn’t come by right away. By that time, I was getting annoyed. We had to wait 15 minutes to order. For a small place like that, it seemed like it was too much for her to handle. The more annoying part was that she was more attentive to the table next to us and often ignored us. I ordered a Croque Madame, which was a hot ham and cheese sandwich with fried egg on top along with a side of fries. When my food came out, it didn’t look too appealing as it was a big flat sandwich smothered with cheese and a side of mixed green salad. My father-in-law said it looked like a patty melt. Although it was nothing special, I ended up eating most of it since I was hungry and giving the rest to my husband. The fries were good, but nothing special either. When we were done, we were ready to leave, but had to wait 15 minutes to get our check. They said they had to reboot the computer, but by then, I was done with their excuses and being so slow. I don’t think I’ll ever come back again.
