Worst pad Thai I’ve ever had. Everything was completely overcooked and the food felt like it had been just warmed up. When I told the waitress about it, she didn’t care at all. Not recommended.

I am still hoping to find the perfect vegan/vegetarian Thai in San Francisco.

Tried the Larb, Green Curry, Emerald Fried Rice, and Lime Tilapia. The food quality is OK, but a tad pricey for the smaller than expected portion size. Pros are that it is not a noisy restaurant, which is so rare in SF. I will eat here again if I happen to be in the area, but would not go out of my way to eat here.

I am writing this as I am walking out of the restaurant followed by six other tables. I’ve never walked out of a restaurant before in my life but after waiting very patiently for over an hour my party wasn’t able to get any food or drink refills and the waitresses were nowhere to be found. I think that they were having issues with the wait staff or the kitchen but we couldn’t get any answers. I noticed on the way out the door they had a very low health score which given the level of service we received didn’t surprise me. We ended up being late for a nearby show because of how long we waited. I would not be surprised to see this place closed in a month. You can’t handle prime time on a Saturday night in downtown you will go under.

Feeling like you love the world after yoga? Like you should go meander into a random restaurant, instead of trusting Unilocal for 4+ stars in SF? WRONGMOVE. This place wasn’t good at all. I’d rather stay hungry instead of dining here again. I was trying to introduce my friend to Khao soi and I’m so sad that it was his first experience with the dish. There are way better options in SF. Be a little weary of your post-yoga high when selecting a place to eat.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Food is much tastier than at the nearby Lers Ros Thai, and there’s almost never a wait. It’s also much quieter than Lers Ros, so you can actually have a conversation. I also really like their pineapple fried rice, which few places in SF seem to serve.

Solid Thai food, good value, and very filling. It’s a good go to if you’re in the mood for a tasty bite without having to fork over the cash like other Thai restaurants in the neighborhood. Downside is that you have to pay for rice, per person! Ambiance is what you’d expect from a cheap Thai place, but servers are nice, and the tunes are usually bumpin’.

I really like this place. It’s often very quiet but they do a brisk to-go business. I’ve always enjoyed the food and the servers are sweet. There was another Thai restaurant in the same location years ago which wasn’t as good, and I think they may be having a rough time recovering from that business’s inferior food, but these guys are great. It’s not super-duper but the prices reflect that. If you want fancy-schmancy, go to Lers Ros a couple blocks away, but this is delicious and the service is good.

Poor service and lack luster food! Decided to pick this place because it is more quiet than nearby les Roos, Bad idea… Ordered beer with 3 glasses, the waiter did not even pour it for us(we were first to arrive, so it was not busy) then the coconut soup witch they again did not serve! It was not hot and very sweet, not to mention a small portion. The prices here are not cheap here either. The rest of the meal was mediocre, would not go here again. They are closing soon anyway so it won’t be a great loss to the nieghborhood.

Terrible. They served undercooked chicken. This place is a health hazard and does not have a competent enough staff to properly deal with the occasional mistake. Wait staff was nice, but obviously had no clue what to do to save the restaurants inept management. We waited a good 45 minutes for okay Thai food that was a bit overpriced for the quality we received.
I ordered a steamed rice. The female waitress with glasses brought it to me. I noticed a black thing on rice and told her right away before she put it down. Guess what she did. She used her own fingers to pikc it up from the rice plate in front of me. OMG. Never again.

Love this place! Service is great. Pricing is decent. And the food comes out quickly. I got the pad Thai with chicken and the pirate treasure soup. Both very good.

Frustrating encounter whereby acceptable, casual, affordable Thai food became tainted by poor execution, questionable service, and a mediocre dining experience. Came here with my husband and two friends for a casual Saturday night dine-in. Location and menu looked great. Our orders were placed and taken down quickly. But there was a real time management problem in the kitchen. We ordered within 5 minutes of being seated, but somehow it took 15 minutes just to get waters on the table, 25 – 30 minutes for the first dish to be served, and another(awkward) half hour or so before the other entrees made it out for the rest of our group. We had to beg our friend who received his food so far ahead of the rest of us to eat, or I’m certain it would have gone cold. When the check was handed to us(the correct version – they had initially overcharged us for an entrée), we asked to split the check three ways, which they refused to do for some incoherent reason. This was particularly obnoxious, since they have a sign displayed in clear view which says that checks can be split up to FOUR ways. But, after spending nearly two hours(mostly waiting) here, we just wanted to get away, and figured out another division of payment. The food here is okay, but the service isn’t acceptable. Two other patrons seated nearby were not willing to wait as we did, and threatened to leave or actually left out of frustration over the same time management issues we encountered. Find another regular spot!

Nice, decent and tasteful thai-food. The service and waiters were so nice and attentive! We had a concert at the SF jazz and center and had to eat in 25 minutes, but the food came quickly which was great! The samosas were good and the rice noodles with chicken was good as well!

I really want to love this place since it’s located in Hayes Valley and so close to the Opera House and The Symphony Hall. We came in as a group of 20 after my sister’s graduation since I had made a reservation for this place a few weeks beforehand. We were seated in the back room and also did my order online to make things easier for them. We started out with the duck salad, a beer tower, and two bottles of Pinot. When we came into the restaurant it was quite empty for Mother’s Day yet they were slow at getting us our drinks. Of course we know we had a big group however they should’ve been a little more prepared since they knew we were coming. I knew they were busy therefore I assisted in pouring the drinks for my family and was extremely patient with the service. Next came our curry dish however only one came and we ordered three therefore we had to continuously play the waiting game for food. Our beer tower emptied rather quickly and we asked for another beer tower and that took over 15 minutes before they were able to get it to our table. Then came the pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, eggplant with tofu and basil, and the sweet and sour fish. The food was flavorful and fantastic however the service was too slow for our liking. I really wanted to like this place and I will definitely come back and hopefully they will have their service issues fixed. Come for the great food but don’t expect top notch service.

Asked for egg noodle soup they gave ramen from the package and charge $ 12! Wtf? I could have done it at home. I vowed not to come here again but I did only to find an ogre lady maybe the owner giving me dirty looks because I used the restroom before ordering. Then while I was eating she was still giving me dirty looks. Don’t order the soup but the rice plates and curry is good. Overpriced but in this neighborhood everything is.

This place is phenomenal. I’m confused why there aren’t more stars and the place isn’t packed more often. Everything I have gotten has been awesome. My favorites are the Giants soup– a coconut lemongrass soup with pumpkin. We get it with shrimp. Omg. Literally the soup that fixes all ailments. When my bf is sick I bring him this everytime. Another favorite is the Tropical curry. It’s panang curry with either mango or avocado. Deelish. Great quiet spot. Wonderful regular staff. You won’t regret it!

We recently moved to the area and we’re looking for a good Thai place to visit regularly. Unfortunately, this won’t be it. The service was extremely slow– there were only two other tables in the restaurant and it took us a solid ten minutes to get water or menus. More importantly, the food really just wasn’t good. All of the vegetables were overcooked, and I’m going to give the kitchen the benefit of the doubt and say they were boiled, but they just as well could have been cooked in a microwave. The pad Thai was sickeningly sweet, and the Thai iced tea was even sweeter. The red curry saved this from being a one star review, as the sauce was helpful in distracting from the limp zucchini and string beans. Interestingly, this place has a sign in their window crying foul at Unilocal, claiming their reviews are being censored. To the owner– I’d suggest spending less time blaming others and more time focusing on what you can do to improve your establishment.

Decent thai food– tried the mango panang curry and the basil tofu dish. Mango Panang– The highlight of the meal. The fresh mango on top was absolutely delicious(could’ve eaten it without the curry but dipped in the curry was even better). The curry was light yet still rich and all the vegetables inside made it a very filling meal, easily split into two portions. Even though $ 13 is more than I would expect for a place like this, the curry was so good it was worth every penny. Basil Tofu– very average basil tofu dish. I liked the sauce it was cooked in, but not enough to pay $ 10 for it plus the cost of rice. Roommate tried the tomyum soup which she liked and also was a big serving size, but again for $ 14 which is quite a bit for soup. Verdict: For looking like a very regular thai restaurant(no extra embellishments in service or ambiance), it was too pricey. My roommates and I paid $ 50 for dinner when I could likely get the same priced food at a nicer restaurant with better ambiance in the city(ex Lers Ros nearby. Probably won’t be returning due to the high prices that I can’t justify.

Awesome food! Chicken satay, delicious. Must have! Drunken noodles is spicy but hit the spot! Pumpkin curry was a bit lackluster. Pumpkin had no flavor, curry was bland, and it was watery. Pad see-ew c’mon now, you know that’s an easy one, of course, they did great! Good service. Super friendly. Handicap accessible!(I had a wheelchair, post-op.) Prices are reasonable!

Decent Thai food, BUT not the best! Their Tom Yum Gong was not spazzing with full on flavor, BUT it was still good. The portion of soup was, in my opinion, was small for its pricing, BUT they could have made the soup base bigger! I asked for jalapeño pieces for the rice entrée, BUT it wasn’t those mini slices that I preferred! Service and ambiance was aye okay, BUT not the greatest! I have had, BUT better Thai food!

We were hungry and decided to give this place a second chance as our first experience was not so good… This time service was a bit slow but the food was delicious and the young sever was nice enough. We had the Drunk Mans Noodles, Panang tropical Curry with fresh avocado, Brown rice and the Tom Kha soup… everything was hot fresh and delicious…($ 40 and a good portion of left overs) They are worthy now of a third try!
