It’s a great place to fuel up before/after rock climbing at Mission Cliffs. We usually get sandwiches which they prepare right in the front room behind the counter. It’s crowded every time I go… Lots of people parked on their laptops. They have a cute outdoor seating area in the back.

Good food Fair prices — especially hard to find in SF. Great americanos. Yummy bagels with natural cream cheese. No minimum for credit cards. Employees are nice and they are efficient. Surprised I haven’t reviewed this before, I come here often since I work in the area.

AH… a fave! Tons of seating(inside and out), fresh food, great coffee. Why not? So it’s the Mission, parking is crap. But who cares? Just get here, and chill. The trout bagel. Amazing. Been here twice just for that. The drip coffee. The cappuccino. The… :-)

Cute, food is delicious, prices are fair. I had the apple & cheese sandwich & added bacon. Tip: they don’t accept AMEX, so have cash or one of the other major cards. Wifi was free, but very slow. I could never get on. Not the end of the world, but I had hoped to make it a working lunch. Will definitely be back next time I’m in SF.

Meh. Food is ok. Atmosphere is ok. That’s about it. Slightly overpriced for what you get. There are much better places in the neighborhood.

Great coffee! Great staff! Great location! The music was perfect for the setting! I got the spinach and potato soup which was great! I came here to study which was perfect! I would give it 5 stars but they need to come up with a better method of delivering food, instead of the guy behind the counter SCREAMING numbers out. Not fun for customers sitting inside!

Atlas is the local spot for decent priced food, coffee or beer with internet. +Open late for café + serve beer, coffee and beverages for non-caffeinated and beer times + Line-up of Jazz music + self-serve coffee and 10cents off the coffee + Unique veggie sandwiches– my favorite is the Baked Beets sandwich + outlets & indoor/outdoor seating — sometimes long lines — the staff doesn’t seem to remember anyone, or pretends they don’t care — seats are not very comfortable — internet lasts for only 2 hours

This is a far more chill, relaxed space than nearby Coffee Bar. Free WiFi, though you connect through some odd multi-click system that requires that a pop-up with a countdown remain open — you can refresh your login after your 2 hr session expires. There’s a small patio area in the back with ample seating if you prefer the outdoor air. There aren’t many outlets but there are usually many empty seats during the afternoon, and the staff is approachable. They don’t blast music — which is awesome! Good selection of lunch items(sandwiches, salads, pizzas) for ~$ 10 each. Not to hard to find street parking outside. Small non-fancy house coffee goes for $ 2.50. Cappuccino $ 3.50. Espresso drinks are earthy and full-bodied, like a Peet’s coffee as opposed to something acidic and light like Blue Bottle or Stumptown.

Love this place. Outdoor patio, live music on Fridays nice staff. It’s really relax and a good place to work, or meet friends. The hummus platter is really tasty Don’t like the rice noodle salad that much though

As I sit here(inside the main seating area), I am getting attacked mercilessly by flies and other small bugs(I count at least 5 flies and a myriad of smaller bugs swirling around). So first off, not a great experience. Pros: — great coffee — delicious bagel sandwiches(try the smoked trout bagel) — nice people working there(the sandwich/salad makers HUSTLE, I’ve never seen anybody work so ferociously and with such efficiency, those guys WORK) Cons: — sandwiches overpriced and not delicious(the roast pork is WAYYYYY too salty, the turkey avocado bacon is sort of bland and meh) — even though the guys behind the counter are working insanely fast, the wait can still be super long sometimes(I once waited 30 min for a sandwich) — wifi restricted to laptops and there’s a time limit — did I mention the flies and other insects swirling around the INDOOR seating area???

I had to take a moment to commend this place on the awesome customer service. My friend ordered a salad, not knowing that it had onions in it, she is badly allergic to onions and began to pick the onions from the salad, abit worried that there still might be traces of it in the salad, I walked over to the counter and let the chef know the situation and deeply apoligzed and asked if I could pay for another salad, they went above and beyond and quickly fixed her up a salad with no onions. They didn’t have to do it as it was our bad but they did, now that’s going above and beyond. Side note they make a great Cuban sandwich too!

This is my favorite early morning spot to just come read & write on the couch. Great menu to choose from if you want an espresso, mimosa, smoked trout bagel or sandwich. They also have a nice, sunny back patio with tables & umbrellas.

My friend and I really enjoyed our quick stop in this café. We went on a sat evening, there was a nice live band, great breeze and lots of fresh air thanks to the open patio area, and plenty of space inside and outside. There was a healthy number of people there just to work, and those there to have fun and chat. We only grabbed something to drink, but there were plenty of good-looking(and healthy) food options, if one were so enticed. The drink we had was… The atlas cooler, if I’m not mistaken. It was beer + ginger + lemonade. Cool and refreshing! If I were to find myself in the area again, I’d definitely be back!

Atlas Café is the type of café where you can have a nice chill lunch with someone, or work on your laptop. The yam sandwich here is creative and really tasty. Their salads can also hit the spot. The food doesn’t particularly pull me to Atlas(the area has a ton of competition for fantastic food), but the combination of food and chill atmosphere for working/hanging out makes Atlas Café stand out. It’s a bit more cozy than Coffee Bar. It can get loud inside, but there’s also lovely outdoor seating. Their coffee is made with Stumptown. If I’m craving sugar more than caffeine, I get their ginger lemonade.

A very cool spot in a fun part of the Mission, with lots going on the menu. You can get chai, wine, food, kombucha, you name it. My Levi’s kombucha was very enjoyable on the back patio. The barista was super surly, but I guess that adds to the atmosphere.

After a few failed attempts at trying to find a café around this part of town to do some reading we found Atlas Café. It was perfect! Non hipster café, with a sweet back patio and a good menu. A must if you are looking for a good neigborhood coffee bar to relax, enjoy the sun and some good treats. Cheers!

Delicious vegetarian options. I went on a night when they had live jazz music which made it extra special! Also a great beer selection. Would definitely go back.

My new fave spot. I love coffee, so I’ve been going to so many coffee spots all around the city. But a common theme among these cafes are that they are getting more and more expensive. Now it’s $ 5 for expresso & milk? Ah, to be able to trims travel back in time when a latte cost $ 3…Atlas Café is my new best friend. They serve Stumptown Coffee, an amazing roast from Portland, Oregon. Across from another amazing roaster, but $ 2 less! AND they don’t charge extra for almond/soy milk. AND they serve great food(breakfast, pizza, salad, etc) I’m coming here from now on.

I always need a «brunch lunch» on my late start work days, in SF if possible before traversing south, so I selected Atlas as my test subject. Got their Spicy Trout Bagel, with smoked trout, jalapeño cream cheese, tomato & pickled red onion. Also ordered The Dirty Bunny, which was their title for a Spicy Ginger Lemonade with Iced Tea. Yum! Was given my beverage before I went to find a seat — they were efficient. I seated myself at table by a window seat, but could have sat in outdoor back patio. Had my bagel on rye, was served very quickly. Bagel was delicious, if a bit messy. One of those places where if it doesn’t get all over the place, it doesn’t belong in your face. Elated it was served in a tray! So glad a little bit of the jalapeño spice lingered — how often do you go to a busy café where that happens?

We only moved to the neighborhood about 3 months ago(previously lived in Russian Hill), and this place has already become our«go-to» place for an easy, but yet very delicious, meal. I personally love their Atlas Café salad, to which I add chicken. Everything is so fresh and the chicken is cooked perfectly, which is hard to come by a lot of times, particularly in a café setting. I haven’t tried it yet, but I look forward to trying out their no-cheese pizza next time I stop in; all the ingredients sound like they would be amazing together. My husband and I are also very interested in stopping in for a HH to enjoy a glass of wine along with their hummus platter. My husband typically orders one of their pizzas or sandwiches. I believe his favorite pizza is the apple and goat cheese pizza. I tried a bite of his last time he ordered it, and it was very yummy. The spicy chicken pizza is also very good; but beware, it is indeed spicy. My husband(who does not do well with spicy) was sweating bullets and was almost unable to finish; must have been one hot jalapeño they used! This place is wonderful for brunch, lunch, or dinner. A perk of eating in for dinner is the live music(the night we popped in was I believe a Thursday — not sure if they have live music only on Thursday, or if they offer it other days of the week as well). All in all, a delightful neighborhood gem. Favorite café setting of mine at the moment, and we will continue to frequent this place often.
