I highly recommend a visit and placing yourself on the mailing list for the first fridays monthly receptions to introduce the featured artist for each month. Geri and John offer personal assistance and are responsible with follow up care and shipping of your fine art purchases. Arata Fine Art Gallery has a great variety of artists and works. Arata Fine Gallery is a nice little gem in the heart of North Beach.
Geri the owner is one of a kind artist. Her paintings are vibrant and reflect her Italian heritage as well as her sense of style. The place is very warm and unpretentious yet very classy and unique.
The atmosphere is convivial and engaging and Geri and her husband John always have time to chat with you. They are full of local colorful stories and insights about their beloved neighborhood. You can feel the passion for both, art and San Francisco, Geri childhood place.

Great little shop. Perfect for North Beach. Excellent cards and pictures with all the best scenes of SF. Many great scenes besides the usual of SF! Excellent, vibrant paintings and some wonderful little glass plates. I stop in often for cards and I am always pleased with the variety and new additions.

Nice little north beach find. Really captures the spirit of north beach, with art ranging from the requisite city scapes to the flambouyant and surreal. Love the carnivalle themes!

I stopped into Arata Gallery on my way back from Enrico’s. The rich and colorful paintings of Venetian spirits caught my eye and pulled me in. The owner Geri Arata and her husband John are very gracious and easy to talk to.
Along with the stunning Venetian themes painted by Geri herself, there are dozens of North Beach scenes painted by local artists. These paintings also caught my eye and are delightful.
John told me that during June and July the North Beach scenes will be featured and that the gallery has «First Friday Receptions» every month from 6 to 9 PM.
So, if you are in North Beach make time to stop in at the Arata Gallery.
