Amy C Hecht, MD

Dr. Amy Hecht is a gem. She really cares about her patients and goes above and beyond. She’s like the old fashioned doctor who gets to know you, takes a true interest in who you are, and wants to help you achieve optimal health. She is versed in homeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition so her knowledge base isn’t confined to western approaches. On top of that, she is always available and makes me feel totally comfortable. I absolutely trust her with my health.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hecht as my GP and GYN and she’s wonderful. She provides a level of care that all doctors should aspire to but which few if any attain. She is incredibly thorough, spends as much time as you need, goes through your entire body from head to toe and takes a holistic approach to medicine that is so refreshing and informative. She’s great at explaining things and is happy to answer as many questions as you have. She is incredibly patient and interested in what is going on in your body. I recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great GP. She doesn’t take insurance or have a staff but as a result of the lack of bureaucracy, she provides great value for the money and her rates are very reasonable. She makes it easy for you to submit bills to your insurance provider for reimbursement after the fact and she takes Visa/​MC. I can’t say enough about how lucky I am to have her as my physician.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hecht for many years, over 5. She was initially recommended by a Doc friend of mine, a pediatrician. Dr Hecht is always thorough and has been very generous with her time. For example, two years ago I had to have surgery before a planned trip to Vietnam. She made sure everything was inline to make that trip happen, including speaking with my surgeon on her day off to schedule surgery. She is gentle, very kind, and exceedingly knowledgeable. Dr. Hecht is someone you can trust and depend on for medial attention.

Dr. Hecht was great! She spent plenty of time with me and we covered everything I had concerns about. She does not accept most insurance plans, but you can submit the claims to your insurance for reimbursement. Dr. Hecht was a welcome change from most of the doctors I have seen or tried seeing recently. I would definitely recommend her and plan on seeing her again!
