i’ve been studying acting for 9 years. in a local school for most of that time and the past year with jennifer welch. her style of teaching emphasizing, scene study and script analysis, has definitely taken me several levels above what i had learned in my previous school. as a working actress, ms welch has intimate knowledge of acting for stage and film and conveys this knowledge to her students in a personal and personable fashion. she helps students to step out of our ‘comfort zones’ with encouragement but never stinting on constructive criticism. she inspires me to learn, audition and write.

I have been acting professionally for 11 years. I believe that you can never stop training. Jen is an amazing teacher. She is able to train varied levels of actors together because she knows how to clearly communicate. She also will call people on their bad habits and will not just let a scene play out when it is going south. She stops the actors, gives constructive notes, and then let’s the actors have at it again.
She is clear, supportive, and most importantly, she understands that there needs to be trust in the classroom for performances to rock!
