I got dupped the same way as the people below. I locked my key inside my apartment and realized it around midnight when I got home. I was debating calling up my friend that I was just with to crash on her couch or pay for a locksmith to let me in. When I got a $ 55 quote, my bed own sounded worth $ 55 which included the $ 29 base fee and the rest was the«labor» of the actual job. I got there and the guy said $ 140. It ended up being $ 180 because the $ 140 did include the 20 second evaluation he performed. My door is super standard and took about 1 minute to unlock I said to the guy«Whats a $ 55 job because that seemed pretty simple and is costing me $ 200? He said«oh no its $ 180?» Ok yeah I was rounding up but that’s not the point. He is obviously pretty used to running this scam and offered no explanation of why my door was 4x as difficult as the base price. He just knew I was at his mercy to get into my place that night. The only other time I used a locksmith was when my car keys got lost on a trip. I called Premier Locksmith and I got them to make keys for my car that is one of those new ones with the chip so the keys are more expensive. It cost me less than these guys to get new keys to my car made on sight. When they quoted me on the phone the price was the same when the locksmith came out. I wish I would have called them again but I couldn’t remember the name at the time. USEPREMIERLOCKSMITHINSTEAD!!!

I totally agree with the prior review. I got locked out on a Saturday night, granted, it was late, 2 in the morning. But I called up and was told it would be $ 45 to come out. Only when I pressed several times, did they promise me that it would be under $ 200 dollars. When the actual locksmith came out, surprise, surprise, it was $ 241. As this guy had no credit card from me or any identifying information other than a phone number, I made him stick to the $ 200 price tag as agreed upon. He then tried to sneak away with the original credit card receipt to ostensibly change it and when I called him on it, only after much discussion did he hand me over a signed copy of my receipt. These people are HELLA shady. DONOT call them.

*SCAMMERS* I locked my keys in the house one night(7:30 pm on a Sat) and called around for a lock smith. This guy tells me $ 60 to come out. When he gets to my house he says«I need to cut door knob»…I said OK. Then he charged me $ 200 when he was at my house less than 10 minutes. I asked him what happened to $ 60…He said $ 60 was just to come out…$ 80 to cut the lock and $ 60 because it was after 8 pm. I was livid… then he wouldn’t take a check so my husband had to go with him to an ATM to get cash. When he left, I shut my garage door with his tool bag conveniently left in my garage. He called a hour later saying he had a job to do and he left his tool bag at my house. I told him it is «after-hours» and I will gladly deliver his tool bag to his office in the morning. He was screaming at me saying he would lose money if he didn’t have his tools for the night… I said if you want me to give you the bag it will be $ 100 to answer my door… being«after-hours» …But, after an hour of standing outside my front door… he caved in. He gave $ 60 back in cash and replaced my door knob with new locks(worth $ 40)…
