Woodside Deli

The club sandwich was delicious and the turkey croissant was too. We had some very tasty strawberry shakes along with our meals. The price is around $ 6 per sandwich. Seemed like others were coming in for the burritos so they must be tasty. I’ll have to try that next time. Good customer service, clean and quiet sit down atmosphere.

Found it on Unilocal.No disappointment here! Service was super friendly. Our food was made fresh and is was awesome! Will absolutely be coming back! I had the club which came with a very generous bacon layer plus avocado. The hubby had a roast beef panini and my son got one of their chicken burritos that FYI is HUGE. It could easily feed two or in my case one bottomless pit of a teenager. A must go in Santee!

As far as i can say two weeks ago they were open and served my family and i the best quick family lunch/​breakfast. Used Unilocal to find them and thankful again we did., y family downloaded Unilocal to help themselves. Thank u deli for the boost during the national softball tournament! We couldn’t of made it with out u!

Wow! I came here after reviewing Unilocal!They were fantastic! The customer service is like nothing other I’ve experience here in SD, while I was waiting, the ladies took the extra time and offered me this excellent fruit salad during my wait! By the way it tasted amazing too (peach and apple) delic! Will be back! Small little sandwich shop but the best service!

I went here based upon other Unilocal recommendations and they were spot on!
I had a roast beef sandwich on multi-​grain bread along with the potato salad. It was definitely delicious. I look forward to coming back here with some folks for lunch. The shop was clean, the prices reasonable and the service was friendly. :)

Me and the BF wanted some sandwiches for our hike and ended up here after looking on Unilocal!
It’s a tiny little shop in the business areas, but it’s worth the trip. We got the Gyro and Breakfast Wrap.
Gyro: This was really good! The gyro is tender and they were really generous with their meat. I even liked the white sauce they put which I usually don’t like!
Breakfast Wrap: This one was really good as well! Like the Gyro, very generous meat portion and they used really good, tender, seasoned and juicy meat. It was cooked really well and not tough. The egg and cheese complimented it really well.
We took the sandwiches up Iron mountain (almost 3 hours including the drive I think) and they were still warm! And they also weren’t soggy which I was worried about.
Overall, I know where I’m coming back to if I want a sandwich!

I was out making sales calls and stumbled across this little gem. Club sandwich and potato salad were excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful too! Will make sure to stop in the next time I’m in the area. :)

I’m starving, yet I’m in an industrial area. Gyro is great. Oh no they have rockstars. Now I’m going to be bouncing off the walls.
I will return to see how the rest of the lunch menu taste

I stumbled upon this gem today. I work in the business park and decided to give it a shot. I had the Italian sub with a pasta salad side. The food was excellent and the cashier is super sweet. I will defiantly be back.

This place is located in an industrial zone of Santee located of Woodside Ave, and no doubt catering to the many business around the area. For good reason too, because they do make so really good food, along with very friendly service.
For breakfast, I tried Ray’s wrap that comes with eggs, roasted chicken, potatoes, Swiss cheese, avocado, and with a spicy sauce that taste very similar to Frank’s Hot Sauce for $ 6.95. They call it a wrap, but it was more like a fat burrito, not that there is anything wrong with that (
), and it came filled with all the goodies. (
) I did think the wrap was heavy on potatoes, and could of used more chicken and cheese. It tasted great and hot sauce inside gave it a nice punch.
The people who own and work at the deli are very nice. Before lunch of breakfast, you can call in your order to have it ready, in case you are in a rush.

Needed a quick bite for lunch, decided on the Woodside Deli. Small place but full of deliciousness. Was greeted with a friendly from both the Cook (owner?) and the cashier (daughter). They had a breakfast menu till 11 that I will come back as it has items sounding very appetizing.
I ordered the club on wheat with potato salad. The sandwich was delicious. The bread toasted perfectly; Soft yet crunchy. Light mayo so not overpowering or messy, lettuce was crisp, bacon albeit I saw him heat it up in the grill was crispy but not overcooked (I think it was fresh cooked in the morning). the turkey was delicious too, moist, not over salty and a decent amount on the sandwich left me very satisfied! The potato salad was just as good. The sauce was light, but full of flavor with chunks of potato. A great meal!
I would definitely come back to try more of the sandwiches!

We had the Club on sourdough and a Hero on (I think the gentleman called it) a gorgeous Ciabatta roll with fresh home-​made herby oil-​vinegar dressing. The meats and the veggies were the freshest and really high quality with plenty to fill the sandwiches. The sandwiches were big and the side salads great (we had a potato salad and a pasta salad which we brought home — too much too eat; too good to leave.) Nice presentation and a friendly owner and his daughter. The breakfast items listed sounded really good and I’m not much of a breakfast person — hubby really is so we’ll have to give that part of the menu a try. This place is a bit off the beaten track but definitely worth searching out — keep in mind their hours and days of operation.

Small little shop. I had the gyro, it was good. The potato salad was delicious. The service was excellent. I would recommend anyone in the area to stop by and support this business.

Awesome deli shop! The owner is so kind and easy to talk to, he prepared my sandwich and the young girl who rang me up was just as friendly! I had a turkey club BLT with a side or potato salad. Def. a gem! I recommend anything with the rye bread!

Hands down, best sandwich shop in the area. I can’t get enough of their Gyro Sandwich, made with the perfect sauce! Even though I don’t live in the area, a friend told me about this place so I had to check it out. I’m glad he told me about this place! RJ and Jasmine do their best at pleasing the customers. Great customer service with great food.

I actually called in an order to get lunch catered into my work (some potato salad, olive side dishes, and sandwiches) and the food was delish! The potato salad is not your traditional salad. It has all these yummy vegetables in it and spices that make it so flavorful. I was very pleased with the set up and the variety of dishes and sandwiches that they had. They brought the food on time and had wonderful customer service. I would definitely order from them again.

I’ve been to this deli on more than 1 occasion, and it never disappoints. Within 1 visit, the two ladies had managed to remember both me and my boyfriends faces and our orders (although he changed his every time we went in). Each time I ordered the BLT minus the T but adding A (avocado), and got chips and a drink. Let me tell you, they aren’t the cheapest place in the world (but hardly expensive either) but the sandwiches that they serve you are definitely worth every single penny you spent on it! I can hardly even explain to you how delicious their sandwiches are, you definitely need to go in and experience it for yourself, I PROMISE YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Keep in mind that this deli is a little tucked away, but as far as i’m concerned, its the best kept secret in Santee !
I will keep returning for either as long as they are in business or as long as I live in Santee.

Sometimes these little delis tucked away in business parks are pretty darn good and probably do pretty good business. Woodside Deli claims to be the «Home of Santee’s Best Sandwiches and Party Platters.» They have a variety of sandwiches and also serve hamburgers (but no fries!), breakfast and salads. The place is clean and small (5 tables), a very friendly staff (new owners according to their menu), and satellite radio playing The Pulse, an upbeat adult contemporary station. The food came in about two minutes or so. It is quite fast and friendly service.
I had the Woodside Delicious which is roast beef, grilled onions and melted provolone cheese on an 8″ deli roll. You can have salsa on it or on the side, which I opted for so I could try one half with salsa and one with mustard — salsa wins on this one, but by a pretty close margin. The sandwich was a little greasy and medium sized as they come. The taste was great. I also had a bag of chips.
Price was about $ 7.50 for the sandwich and chips, but no drink. For that I would have liked it to be a little less. I also jokingly noted that the handwritten sign announcing Monday’s special had a frown next to the Monday. I didn’t know if the special was bad or if it was because it was Monday.
This place is pretty good but could do better in price/​value and if you are gonna serve burgers, have some fries to go with it!
