In the area and took the opportunity to try some of their donuts… Because I love donuts. Hahah. At this time, it seems like they have all the classic/traditional donuts. I didn’t see any of the«fancy”/decorated donuts,(it was 9pm on a weekday), but the display was full. I assume the fancy stuff are during holidays and special order? The shop itself was simple, clean, and had several tables/chairs to sit at… I got a box of ½ doz to go($ 5+) and was pleasantly surprised that their was an extra donut added in… Quiet guy behind the counter but he seemed nice. I tried an old fashion chocolate glazed donut, and the next day I tried a buttermilk. The donut itself was moist, dense, and slightly sweet. The glaze was just a nice thin layer with a very subtle taste. It tasted fresh. Your typical neighborhood donut shop… clean shop, fresh donuts, friendly, decent price, and open late!

Very friendly place with big donuts selection. Too bad, today this place was cleaned up and nothing left for me to by:( Turning kind of bitter drive for my family deserts and not get any choice at all.

Went today for a dessert after dinner and the 3 items we bought were mediocre. Everything tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. We paid $ 3 for 3 donuts — a very competitive price. However, the taste did not meet our expectations and we were disappointed. The gentleman in the store was friendly though. All in all, I will get my donuts at my regular(and favorite) shop.

I decided to stop here because I remember the sandwich I bought was amazing. I’ve been craving pastrami sandwiches for the longest time. The place needs a little fixer upper but it’s what you expect from a donut shop/lottery/thrift ice cream place. Lol I was immediately greeted. I have nothing bad to say about the service. It was nice to see a nice face in the morning. I gave this place a three stars based only on the food. I ordered a pastrami roll. Apparently the meat is cut fresh which is a plus. It was $ 4.95 so the price was average but the sandwich wasn’t great. It was okay. I remember the sandwich being so much better the first time. The first time I arrived the lady asked if I wanted it hot. This time it wasn’t, probably a mistake on my part. Then again it is only my second time. Anyways, 3 stars because this time, the sandwich was average. Not amazing, not great. Maybe I’ll give it another try, maybe not.

I love this place. They have a big selection of fresh donuts. I ordered a half dozen for just 5.25. What a deal! They also have sandwiches and a nice drink menu. I highly recommend this donut shop.

Trying another donut shop to get out of my rut. Super friendly staff and good donuts on par with Mary’s. They have seating, coffee, and lottos, although lottery tickets seems an odd think for a donut shop lol I will continu to visit to try other flavors and update as needed. Worth the drive to the east side of Santee!

Worst service ever recieved in the food industry. The Asian guy seems like the owner, he has no customer service skills, hardly speaks english. He should not service any customers, very rude and unprofessional. The donuts are stale and very small selection. Will not be returning here due to the service.

Horrible and unprofessional service. I asked whether the current batch was a new batch since I just bought a dozen that was stale. The Asian guy kept avoiding my question and basically said«go find another donut shop» and we sure did that night Rose donuts was delicious and much more variety. We will never bring our business to honey donuts ever again.

Best donuts in Santee. Better than Krispy Kream. Very friendly staff. Croissants are delicious as well and very fresh. Teisha is a doll.

Honey Donuts is pretty awesome. I’m still a fan of Marys Donuts down by the 125 and Mission Gorge. Honey Donuts is close to my house and does well when I need a donut fix. They seem to have a good selection. The donut holes are actually really good.

I don’t know if I go in at a bad time or what… There’s a ver small selection. One time I went in with my kids who had to have donuts and there were some apple fritters and some crusty looking donuts and twists, at around 3 pm and the lady said she wasn’t making more donuts that day… At 3pm! Anyway… We walked out empty handed and found another donut shop instead I would give it a higher rating because the lady at the counter is always friendly and chatters with my very silly kids every time we went there but for a place called sunny donuts they’re lacking in the donut variety department. If they had a better selection we’d go more often since they’re close to home

I work really close and didn’t want fast food for lunch. A donut shop that serves sandwhichs! Score! The nice lady made me a turkey avocado on a toasted bagel. 4.90 add drink and chips for a 1.50 more. I didn’t see Bagels on the menu but she had them! Super sweet lady. Thanks!

Not many places around where you can get a Super good sub at 3am. But here you can. I work at the Drive In Theatre down the street so it’s always nice to have a good fresh meal late at night instead of the fast food alternatives. Been coming for years just for the subs. The doughnuts are pretty good as well. They even started serving Thrifty ice cream! And the guy who works it at night(Jon) is always super nice and helpful. Defiantly worth checking out.

Amazing! We came here when Mary’s was too busy and were insanely impressed! We come late at night and they are always hot and fresh! Totally underrated!!!

This review is for their sandwiches. Yes. They make the most delicious sandwiches anywhere in Santee. A friend told me to try the subs and I won’t go anywhere else now for subs. Yum!!!

Very nice owner. Doughnuts are always so fresh with a great variety. Im a big fan of their stuffed croissants and breakfast English muffin sandwhich. I also love that you can satisfy your craving late at night.

Whenever I’m ready to bury myself in an avalanche of calories, Honey Donuts is my sticky, glazed salvation. They have the most sublime French crullers in existence, and their maple bars melt like warm butter. Most important, they have a myriad of selections at generally inopportune hours(if I’m craving an old fashioned at 4 pm, I’m able to shovel one down like a ravenous animal). Bliss incarnate.

Donut fiend is en route to the drive-in, ginormous Honey DONUTS sign catches the eye. Doesn’t take much for me to spot a donut shop to begin with. The boyfriend and I picked up a few donuts before heading to the drive in: cinnamon roll, cinnamon sugar donut, crumb cake, and a maple cruller(you know the pretty twisted ones that’s moist in the middle). All were very delicious and didn’t taste old or dry at all despite being at an odd hour to get donuts. Since it was a Saturday night, there wasn’t too much of a selection but judging from the donuts we had, I wouldn’t mind coming back to try more.

I had a great small cinnamon roll from this donut shop. I picked one up on my way home after dinner for a little dessert. The roll was only .85 cents.( ) The cinnamon roll had a great sugary exterior crust and a moist center packed with a mild cinnamon flavor.( ) While I was there, I checked out there apple fritters and they looked great as well.( ) They also served coffee and makes breakfast sandwiches. They have seating inside but non on the outside.( ) Nice friendly donut shop.
