This place is the only salon I will go to, absolutely love it!!! Ashlee does some serious miracle work on my hair! I’m a «blonde for the summer, black for the winter» kind of girl and she manages to get me blonde every time, not orange which is a huge relief all while keeping my hair in tip top condition. The atmosphere in the salon is fun and friendly which makes it even more enjoyable. I would recommend Hair It Is, especially Ashlee to everyone! (:

I could never thank Tiffany enough for transforming my boring look into a fabulous blonde bombshell look! 3 hours and she was so friendly and really took care of me. I’ve gone to many places and had horrible experiences. If you want to go blonde, ask for Tiffany!

I just love this place!!! Everyone is so nice, processional, and real! Tiffany B. Is the BEST! she does amazing color! She is always so accommodating with her and my schedule. The price point is right on! I challenge anyone to find a better salon with better staff and a better price!

Jessica is amazing, she has made me love my hair again! I previously went to someone at an upscale salon in Fashion Valley Mall who gave me an uneven haircut and color that wasn’t what I wanted. Jessica fixed me right up. Thanks girl!

I have been getting my hair done by Lisa Landers at Hair It Is Etc. for a few years now, and I think she is the absolute best! I have never met someone so patient, thorough, and talented! She is a fantastic listener, and really has a discussion with you during your consultation to give you exactly what you’re looking for. I can tell that she truly cares about her clients and wants them to be happy.
I had some really bad roots coming in while she was out of town not too long ago, and she referred me to Farrah, another stylist in the salon, who was equally as amazing and kind. As far as I’ve seen, all of the girls do amazing work in a really cute space that’s affordable while still being very chic.
I would definitely recommend Lisa (and Farrah), especially for color. Lisa was able to squeeze me in yesterday and brighten up my blonde right before my vacation. My hair feels so healthy and looks so pretty; she never makes me feel rushed and I always enjoy a relaxing, pampering experience.
Thank you Lisa & Farrah, you are the best!

FARRAH at Hair It is is absolutely the BEST! I have been going to her for several years now and she is always consistent. She is a true hair artist. My Hi lights and haircuts are always perfect. I highly recommend Farrah.

I think a woman’s hair can make or break their confidence. This is the first salon I ever went to about 6 years ago. I came in on Christmas Eve for the first time, and Jessica took me back and even stayed late to finish my hair how I wanted it. I have gone to her since then besides the occasional spur of the moment decision to dye my hair myself (in which case I go back to have her fix it). The salon has definitely changed over the years, but Jessica has remained a constant. She is always on time, and quick with hair. I’ve never noticed the staff being rude to me as others have said. My one small complaint is that when I lost Jessica’s number and had to call the salon no one answered for two days, so I had to stop in to make the appointment. Other than that, it’s always a good experience here.

I walked into this salon a few days ago and was not impressed. It took a while for anyone to notice I walked in. Also, the salon looks dirty and needs a serious update. The owner should call the show «Tabatha Takes Over».

automatic 1 star (when I really want to give them negative stars) for places with a «walk ins welcome» sign, specialist sitting down chatting away with a customer but nobody available. Lazy.

Got my nails done here once, and have kept coming back ever since then. Highly recommend Azure, she has been my go to person since I’ve been in Santee. Great prices, and nice environment.

One stop shop here! You can get your hair done, nails, pedicure and waxing all in one shot! Plus, all my hair products! The owner is amazing and takes pride in her work and salon! Lots of hidden talent in this place! Definitely check it out. Love Every time I go there!

I usually stay away from salons with pun names, and I should have followed my own rule.
I got a supercuts quality haircut for $ 40. My hair has never looked so lame. And the blow-​out at the end was flat.
I didn’t see anyone else getting anything amazing done around me either.

I have been getting my nails done by the owner for over 13 years. I’ve followed her from every shop she’s worked and now she owns 2 and I go to both. Hair, nails, extensions, wraps, tanning… They do it all and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. If your n Santee u have to check it out or if your n el cajon try hot heads her other salon. They do a great job and do everything possible to work with your schedule.

I stopped by here on a busy Saturday afternoon. I wanted a haircut from a reputable salon, but didn’t want to go far. I read the Unilocal reviews first and decided this was the place. They didn’t have time for me right away, but told me they could get me in in an hour and 15 mins. So, I went home and had lunch, then came back. They took me back right away. I was a little apprehensive, as I usually only get my hair done at my mom’s salon. The girl was friendly, did exactly what I wanted, and it turned out great!

At first when i heard about Brazilian straightening– i thought I couldnt find a place that wasnt too expensive for me, but Ive been going to this salon now for about 3 years and always have Farrah Do my Brazilian blowouts, because they last a really long time.
the process is like this, first, she took me back to the shampoo bowl to prepare my hair and get out all the styling gunk.
Then she brought out «the treatment.» It was much different than I expected. It looked and smelled like chocolate lotion, without any chemical smell. she takes a lot of time when she divided my hair into sections and begin to comb the Brazilian Blowout through each section. It was hard for me to believe this could actually do anything, but Farrah explained that the solution surrounded each hair shaft with protective protein layers to smooth and flattened the cuticle. I took her word for it. After flat ironing my hair — it is straight as a board. and smells like a chocolate martini– added bonus!
And after going home and doing my hair myself with my usual routine and products, I liked the added shine and even after a month hair is much less frizzy and I still get tons of compliments.
But it can be a lifesaver, especially for people who straighten their hair on a regular basis. this saves me hours of time, after washing, my hair air dries really quickly and i usually only spend 5 mins with the flat iron VS the 1 hour i used to spend trying and failing to get it absolutely straight.
I usually go about 3– 4 months between blowouts. So far, so good! she usually gives me a quick trim on my bangs right at the end– and i Always feel really polished after. I’m never going back to the frizzy hair!

I’ve only been here once, but Tiffany gave me the best hair salon experience! She gave me awesome highlights, a great cut and afterwards, styled it exactly like I wanted. She was super friendly, helpful and I would totally go back to her!

I really like this place, they have Hair, Nails and Skin services. The girls are friendly and professional and the prices are comparable. The owner Michelle is very sweet and helpful and also does an amazing job on my nails.

I did have my hair done there about a year ago .I told the lady who did me my hair was falling out and at the shampoo bowl she washed my hair so hard I couldn’t believe it and blew dried it very hard too.
I went again (Getting a new hairdresser this time) because I saw signs they were the best in town??? I walked in and everyone looked at me like what do you want. So I asked if anyone could give me a hair cut and they said they were booked until Thursday (two days later). I didn’t make an appt for that next Thursday. I live local and I went back 3 months later just to see if it was just like that day that they were rude and they were the same. What the heck do you want greeting. So I will never go back.
