This is my go to local taco shop. Their beef tacos are great, and their floutas are exceptional as well. Wish they didn’t charge for drink refills.

Pretty good rolled tacos and it’s cheap. When you ask for guacamole and sour cream they aren’t shy on it. Which is great because you pay extra for it and you get your money’s worth unlike some other restaurants.

BURRITOS. Up there with the best for taco shops. Burritos are a better bet over the plate dishes but everything is solid. Salsa bar is nice too.

We go here at least once a week and order just about the same things tonight we got 2 bean and cheese burritos with rice and sour cream one of which we asked for extra cheese and 2 fish tacos we have always got are fish tacos the same way since we have been going there anyways tonight nothing was right one burrito didn’t have extra cheese the fish tacos had only salsa on them when we asked for only white suace and the guy repeated it back to me and I said yes only white … I was pissed cause I’m allgeric to tomatoes I was really wanting a fish taco… I called and the guy knew I was pissed so he offered to remake it but I’m not wasting my gas to go back out of my way when they messed up the food. so he offered to remake it tomorrow and I said yes which was very nice of him… the four Stars are for customer service and them offering to fix our food another night…

I just moved to the area, but have lived downtown for a long time now. Ordered a standard San Diego staple«(Cali burrito). It was all onions, no guac, no meat in the first 5 bites. If I was feeling randy I’d take that shit back and smack the cook in the face with it it. Only one sauce here. Fuck this place. Just saying.

First place I go to when I go back home on leave. Great enchiladas, al pastor, and carne asada. This place sets the bar for other Mexican food place I go to across the country.

Absolutely bomb shrimp burrito! Didn’t even realize that was Las Cotijas’ claim to fame until I saw it printed on my(also delicious) cup of horchata. Delicious sauce and didn’t skimp on the shrimp. Great and friendly customer service(and handsome too, the day I went)! They were giving out free Halloween candy when I went too. they even told me to take more then one — It’s the little things. 5 stars for this lil place. One note: no bathrooms when I went because they seem to be under construction. Ended up washing my hands with a lot of my sanitizer and napkins. Wouldn’t let that affect my review though. Keep that in mind!

I love this taco shop! The people behind the counter are fast and friendly. The portions are large, and the food is made fresh! I go there at least once a week.

Ordered the hash brown burrito for $ 7 and some change wasn’t worth it smallest burrito I have ever had and wasn’t even that good. I wouldn’t recommend going here to over priced for what little food you get.

Just Ok for a place to eat. Wasn’t happy about my lunch. The chicken was old and tuff. The salsa that came on my plate was also old and very bitter. The hot sauces were fresh/good and that’s about it.

Okay. After eating the THIS:( ) I can’t give this place higher than a 3. The food here doesn’t compare to Vallartas but it was nice to pickup before going to the Santee Drive-in Theatre! We grabbed the Surf and Turf fries. Enjoyed them, but we aren’t itching to go back. Nice if you’re already in the area!

First visit here, and really liked it. Delicious beans, big burritos, yummy fries. And the salsas! They were all very tasty. Not sure which is my favorite. My only complaint is they don’t offer iced tea.

came here for lunch the other day and its ok, nothing special about their food or the way it tastes. the guy at the register looked like he was on speed and was all over the place. I ordered a carne asada torta and they bread was decent just a little too think and not enough meat. its the nearest decent mexican fast food place in the area, i probably would come back here again and maybe try somehting else but it wouldnt be my first option.

Terrible service. 3 people waiting, I got there close to closing time, decided to start filling gas @ 7 – 11 next 2 them and then order. Felt like they messed with me. Clearly before posted closing time and guy told me to beat it. I live right there, but will NEVER go again. No thank you after a tip, shove order I’m my face when ready @ «no have good day.» I’ll never go there again. Just horrible all around.

Great little taco shop in a not so frequented part of town. They have a solid salsa bar and make a good BRG(beans rice guac) burrito. If you are working in the nearby vicinity, you need to come here more often.

This is a local chain of taco shop restaurants that are located all over San Diego. The Santee location has the best reviews and just so happens to be close to where I live, so I decided to give their burritos a run. The place has a outside to go window for late night runs and small inside dinning area. The salsa bar( ) contains two reds and two green sauces along with carrots, radish, and limes. Overall this place is really really clean, no typical salsa marks all over the place. After looking over their huge menu, I ordered some food to go and they were pretty damn prompt about getting people’s foods out fast. The burritos were average sized, not really that bulky and not too slim( ). The steak and egg burrito( ) was basically a California burrito with some eggs in it. The ingredients were fresh, meat was seasoned good and fries were definitely crispy. Overall a very tasty breakfast burrito. The beans here( ) had a great flavor to them, don’t know what was so different about them, they were still hot when I got home though, which is nice. The supreme quesadilla( ) which came with cheese, guac, sour cream, lettuce, tomato and beans was massive, packed tightly away in its to go box. The weird thing was the tomatoes were slices and not diced which gave a nice little crunch to it when you bit into it. The tortilla was crisped up and fresh. Food here is great, not just another typical taco shop, this place stands above the rest in Santee in my opinion. Their food is fresh and the service was fast. Prices were about the same though.
